Most horrible experience ever to find and place a qualified candidate for our Company. They sent over very few candidates that were not qualified at all. Finally thought we found a candidate and after a couple of interviews we hired her. We found out soon later that this supposed recruiting firm did zero reference checks and didn't validate the candidate's resume or qualifications at all. They were looking for a quick placement and wanted to collect the fat check as soon as possible. If you didn't pay right away as we had major concerns with our candidate right away then they put one of their lame directors stalking you for payment. Literally, he said he would call us three days a week with the intent to reach us for payment. We should never have paid since the work was so terrible and unprofessional. The candidate's resume was false and if we had to do our own validation of the candidate's experience and alleged jobs why would we have hired them?? They did nothing but put unqualified prospects before us and did nothing else. Terrible experience. read more

This recruiting company acts like a scam... At least their actions made me feel that way. I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn that there is a good job that will suite me well, which was a senior position for that I don't have an experience with.. Although, I was interested in that career path so I ended up applying for it. First minor thing that annoyed me was he didn't act as he said. He said he will give me a call "tomorrow" and he didn't. Probably he didn't hear any words from the hiring manager yet. But I would appreciate if he just told me so since he said he will. So I waited like a month after submitting the assessment that the hiring manager sent me. I thought I did terribly and didn't pass. A month later, the recruiter called me and said the company wants to move forward with me to have an interview. Long story short, I did receive an offer from the company. But so many red flags popped up from Crawford Thomas after the hiring manager said they were willing to hire me: 1. The recruiter didn't negotiate the salary that I said I'm looking at, which once he agreed he can get what I want. Instead, he tried to convince me to take what the company was offering. It was $10K less, which was less than what I used to make. 2. Before I sign the contract, I asked him for an updated job description (I was hired as a beginner level) and push out the starting date (I have a 9mo son and my mom already had a plan to fly in to take care of him after the starting date). He called me and said he "Googled" the job description but couldn't find it, and he won't recommend to push the starting date since they may think I'm not a serious or worse they start looking for someone else to hire. What kind of reply is that?!?! I didn't know the job description is something you can find it on Google LOL 3. Basically he threatened me to sign the contract ASAP. He said, "Are you 100% sure you will take this position?", "The employer will start looking for someone else if you don't reply right away", "Can you do it today?", "By what time exactly can you finish it?" etc. Like they don't want to give me a time to actually think. He called me 3 times in 1 day. He was like, "Oh it'll hurt my reputation if you can't accept this after all of the work." I'm like... I don't care... I had other interviews too... 4. This is the worst! They are the one taking care of my background check, not the employer, and they simply wanted me to complete the background check document BEFORE even signing the contract. Who does that?! He was like "this process takes time so I wanna do it right away". He kept calling me and said "my account manager is asking again". Yes, the again, is only within 2 days. I got an offer YESTERDAY!!! They sent me a reminder twice in 2 days. Why am I giving away my personal information including SSN before taking that job. It was a big RED FLAG! At that point, I was pretty suspicious about the whole thing with them... and I started directly talking to the hiring manager, who, by the way, was open to push back the starting date without questions. They are only thinking about $$$. Not even a bit of candidates. They don't work hard to get what you desire, but instead they'll tell you to take what the company is offering. If I had a choice, I wouldn't use this company. read more

Recruiters do not have time to babysit a POTENTIAL employee. If a recruiter does not return your call, there is a possibility they are not longer interested in you as a candidate. I believe recruiters are paid based on successfully placing an employee with an employer. Considering that, there is no time to coddle potentials if there is no realistic indication of placement. Elysse is exceptional! Great follow up, personable, and honest. I would suggest trying to work with Elysse, but remember, to take it upon your self to rely on your efforts more so than a recruiters or pay for a recruiting service to cater to you. read more

I got a call from Christian Reese and he said he would send my resume/headshot over to an employer. I never heard anything from either of them again. I called the employer and outside of the receptionist being rude, she sent me to the potential managers voicemail where I left a message. Never heard back. I tried getting into contact with Christian multiple times(email and phone) not a single answer. I just wanted an update. If they weren't hiring me then whatever. But at least let me know. We contracted Crawford Thomas Recruiting to find qualified candidates for our operations in New York. After reviewing many candidates, mostly unqualified & few qualified, we finally decided to hire a outside sales manager. We paid the recruiter with a guarantee that they will replace for another qualified candidate within 90 days if they don't work out. Unfortunately, this manager did not work out and we decided to let him go. They tried to find a replacement but most of the candidates were unqualified, even though we told them exactly what we are looking for they still were sending sales reps that never had any management experience and/or asking too much money. I guess they make more money if compensation is higher. Even though we sent them detailed job description and compensation. After filing a complaint online the owner calls me back asking to remove the bad review and he will make sure to find a replacement. They continued to send unqualified candidates and candidates that are asking too much over our budget. They stopped sending candidates and our in-house recruiter and my partner tried to reach them and no call back. Its been over a year now. We decided to have our attorney request credit back for not replacing our candidate as contracted. The owner sends back a response stating they will be happy to find a replacement. We are not interested in working with you. Just send us the money that we paid lets move one. Run away as fast as you can. They are nice to you until they receive your money. After that you will be chasing them. Terrible experience. read more

Be very cautious, their recruiter contacted about a job that I didn't apply for, I searched the company and the position and agreed to have an interview, interview went well and I was more interested in the position but by the end of the interview they advised that they will let me know a decision after two weeks (not an exact date), I let the recruiter know that this won't work for me because I am currently an independent Network consultant and I will getting a project soon, which I get about four projects a year, he advised that he will take with the ones in charge, he called me and said that now we will be getting an answer only in one week with a definite date, that didn't happen and now he said we are back to the original two weeks and gave me a definite date, off course that didn't happen either, so I sent an email to the recruiter and the ones involved, withdrawing my candidacy from the position because how the company was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time, a few minutes later I got a call from the recruiter calling me names, really he did and said that the company was about to hire me!! That recruiter is a coward because he wouldn't dare to say anything like this to my face, best he can do is say it on the phone and hangs up like he did!! read more

Use caution when dealing with a recruiter from Crawford Thomas. At first when I was contacted by Courtney Jones everything seemed to be going great. Courtney was very informative and sent me lots of helpful information about the position. I had a phone interview as well as two in person interviews which I thought went very well. After about 2 weeks of no contact from Courtney or the company, I received an email from Courtney saying the company decided to pursue other candidates. I was very confused bc I was under the impression things were going well and I would be offered a position. After this, I was never able to get in contact with Courtney and she never returned my calls or messages. read more

I had the same issue yesterday with Shana Stephenson. I was first contacted by Jen Walsh about a job interview and than I was contact by Shana that told me Jen left. I went on the first and second interview for the company. I tried contacting Shana after a week of the second interview for two days and no response than she sent me and email on the third day to tell me the company was not moving forward with me which left me a bit confuse. I tried calling after I received the email and was sent to voice mail. Terrible experience. Was contacted for a office job after Pisha found my resume. Had a phone interview and then a person to person interview that both went well. I was told due to my prior experience with the programs I would be a good fit and would be contacted for a final interview. I then confirmed this with Pisha. Two weeks later I've heard nothing and the office now sends me straight to voicemail. Waste of time and gas, worst temp agency I've come in contact with so far. read more

We used this firm for a national search and were very disappointed both at the recruiter level as well as the management level. We continuously had to reiterate the specifications we had initially developed for the position, follow-up to obtain current compensation information for candidates, and reminding the recruiter that we were not interested in resumes that did not show quantitative measurements of performance. It seemed like they approached it from a numbers game and did not listen to our specific needs. When we did identify and make an offer to a candidate, the candidate declined because our offer did not match his non-negotiable base salary requirement. After discussing this with the candidate and Crawford Thomas, we discovered that the candidate had communicated this requirement to Thomas Crawford earlier in the process yet Crawford Thomas did not communicate this information to us and in the end caused us to waste a lot of time and resources just to find out that the candidate wasn't a match to the compensation structure we established from the beginning of the process with Crawford Thomas. As a result of this experience, I spoke with a VP at the company and asked for a new recruiter to be assigned to our search. He agreed but was very defensive about the performance to date and didn't seem to understand the feedback I had provided. After no communication / follow-up from the VP for several weeks, I asked him to update me on who our new recruiter was and if any progress had been made on the search. He responded "I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner. At this time, I don't feel that we will be able to locate the caliber of candidates you and your team are searching for." Not surprising that he didn't have the common courtesy or professionalism to contact me and advise prior to me contacting him after several weeks of no communication. Stay away from these guys ... might seem like a good deal but in the end is much more costly from a time and resource investment standpoint. read more
