So i guess "store policy" is call up the next customer before your receipt is even printed out when you are making your purchase. I can't stand that, but am used to it. On this day I had my bank money bag out and credit card out , the worker calls next customer up . I am irritated by this since my money bag is out. Then she goes even further , while I still am putting my reciept away.... She tells the customer to place her items on the counter with my money and credit card. Really? Have some common sense. I was not taking long at all, no respect for my personal belongings. Im hurrying and drop my credit card as I'm leaving, thank goodness I noticed I dropped it. I ask to speak to management and notify her that I am upset. She gives me a whole speech on how they are timed at the register and I would have to call cooperate. Timed or not, use your head! This store has loads of groceries and they're at the same, usually reasonable prices that the typical Dollar General stores have. I was looking for a couple of drinks and snacks with a buddy, and remembered that this store was here, a bit far from Hatch Road, but accessible, especially since it's close to the skate park. I've been in a couple of the stores up on Hatch Road, and they tend to be expensive. For example, Dollar General is charging $1.49 for the original Mountain Dew 2 liter bottles, and $1.00 for Code Red, whereas you'll pay $1.99 elsewhere for the original and you might not find Code Red at all. On the other hand, Mountain Dew Kickstart cans are $1.49 each, and you can find them for $0.99 and $1.00 at Walmart and Target. Going to ARCO or Chevron is going to be higher, of course. The cashier was friendly and efficient, and there were no price problems.

This store has much more square footage than the other two stores in Modesto. The prices on some items are insanely low! They even list the going price at other stores, along with the price one will pay at the register. It is usually several dollars cheaper per item at the Grocery Outlet. I saw a GIANT Sriracha sauce collectible tin in the store, I thought I was super cute! (Photo posted). It has a special set of chopsticks and a packet of ramen inside. 5 out of 5 stars! I was only using the cart to push my child in a car seat around because my stroller was accidentally left at home. Anyway they said that carts aren't allowed in that store and that I can't go in with a cart. Which in a way I understand, they are trying to cut down on the potential of getting robbed. But again I'm irritated because what if I had my stroller and tried to walk in would they turn me away because technically it's a form of a cart. Anyone could walk in with a stroller and load it down with crappy shoes and dip. They will not be getting my customer service after that!
