Great place with great prices. Far larger than you'd expect. You could get lost in here for a while, and I recommend it.

I happened upon this antique shop while looking for another one and I'm so glad I found this place,…read morethis is one amazing shop and the owners are some of the friendliest folks you'll ever meet. After walking through the store I spent several minutes speaking with the owner. He has a vast knowledge of collectibles since much of the conversation was sparked after I inquired about a few items that I collect, it was apparent he has been doing this for a long time and understands the importance of providing accurate information and provided me with a wealth of new knowledge on a subject I feel well versed in. This shop occupies a space in what appears to be an old abandoned strip mall so there is plenty of great parking and it also provides the owner with a giant space to display an abundance of very nice antiques and collectibles. I thought the prices were reasonable and for the most part there isn't much junk here so if you looking for the garage sell or thrift store type items this probably isn't the place for you. ThIs is the kind of shop that appeals more to the serious collector, of course there are the nic-nacs but for the most part it is filled with the higher end type items. The entire store is very clean and organized, no digging through piles of garbage required everything is nicely displayed in plain view. This is definitely a place I'd frequent if I lived in the area or within a few hours of...

Lovely store! Right…read moreat the corner of Central and Main, Mostly French is a tiny little corner of France brought to TN. Think "mostly" French with touches of other countries' antiques, of various kinds. An interesting mix of (mostly) French "things" - from gifty cookbooks (with, ahem, a focus a la francais) and vintage postcards, placards and prints, to quite lovely (and sophisticated and genuine) items for the home (or to give as gifts): Waterford decanter and rocks sets, period pieces with details such as date and origin clearly provided (armchairs, end tables, curios and such) to . . . Nice (and talky) owners. They often visit places such as Scott Antique Market in Atlanta (if you're an antique shopper, you know and love Scott's) and have periodic forays abroad. They also have a fantastic smelling variety of small gift items like candles, and chinoiserie you won't find elsewhere in Chattanooga. If you're a fan of browsing or buying this type of thing, stop by - open every day except Sunday (oh, and right next to the Griffin Footlong Hotdog store that is supposed to be old school and worth a visit, too).

I especially loved the multiple copies of Clementine in the Kitchen, an obscure memoir from 1943 about the lovable French cook employed by the author's family when he was a child -- Of course, I totally bought one and look forward to reading it! Shop here after having hotdogs at Griffin's next door.
