Before going out, we got a comprehensive safety brief and were informed of an area to keep our belongings. As we were cruising, we wore headsets with speakers in which captain Ryan was speaking about the surrounding environment. The headset also had microphones in which we would reply to him. As we got into the swampy area, the ride was smooth and as someone who is scared of water, I felt completely safe. Captain Ryan brought us to some wonderful hidden gems such as a few alligator nests where he explained their structure in detail and answered any questions with complete answers. We got very close to alligators and baby alligators (freshly hatched the day before) and it was an amazing experience. Captain Ryan made us feel confident that we were not in danger and if we were, he would be able to handle it. As we were finishing our tour it started to pour and we switched our headset out for a water friendly version. Rather than bringing us directly back to the docking area, we sat under an overpass to prevent getting completely drenched and possibly hurt. We made it back and Captain Ryan made sure we were all safe getting off. Overall, a truly wonderful experience. More than worth the price. It was beyond what we expected in the best ways.

It took us a little while to adjust to the Florida heat since it was pretty hot, but once we did, we had an incredible time. There was so much to see and do! We loved the alligators, the exciting shows, the snakes, all the entertainment, and all the beautiful birds. Everything kept our family entertained throughout the day. We also got to feed these small alligator. Around midday, a little rain came through, and it actually made the day even more enjoyable by cooling everything down. It was perfect! If you have little ones, I highly recommend visiting Gatorland. It's a fun, family-friendly place with something for everyone. We made wonderful memories and will definitely be coming back!

It is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and feels like a tropical escape right in Orlando. Everything is so well-maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing and perfect for a full day of enjoying the water and beautiful surroundings. The food was okay--nothing that really stood out to me--but with so much included in the experience, that wasn't the main reason I came. The opportunity to swim, relax, explore, and enjoy such a gorgeous setting made the day really special. It is an expensive experience, but if you're looking for something unique, relaxing, and memorable, I definitely think Discovery Cove is worth doing at least once!

Right next to The BOATHOUSE restaurant, you'll find the Amphicar Tours, where you can take a ride in a vintage convertible that drives straight into the water. Yes, for real. One second you're rolling down the dock, and the next you're cruising the lagoon like it's the most normal thing in the world. These cars are actual restored 1960s Amphicars -- part boat, part car, and 100% Disney magic. The tours are about 20 minutes long and give you a relaxing (and totally Instagram-worthy) ride around the waterway. The captains (drivers?) are super friendly and share a bit of history and fun facts as you go. It's smooth, it's scenic, and it's a total hidden gem that's perfect after dinner at The BOATHOUSE or as a spontaneous treat while exploring Disney Springs. It's not cheap, but it's so worth it for a one-of-a-kind experience you truly can't get anywhere else. They were awesome. Personable, friendly and so knowledgeable about the park and animals. They were both fun and worked so well together. We start with getting fitted for our harnesses. This adventure has some climbing and hiking through the woods. It's nothing that an out of shape 50 year old can't do cause I am one. After getting fitted for the harnesses and some safety briefing, it was off to the woods. First stop, hippos, where another guide met us who is an expert on hippos. We got to get up close and personal with them and learned all about them while getting to ask questions. Next on to the bridge over the crocodiles. Now, this walk over the crocs is a bit daunting. You're strapped in with your harness and walk over a suspended bridge with "broken" steps. It was fun but probably the most adventurous of everything you do. Everyone in our group loved it. At the end, another expect who knows all about crocs. Now we get into a safari truck and go through the safari portion. This was great cause it goes to places the regular safari tour does not. We got much close to the animals that the regular tour and got to stop and learn more about them. About half way through we stopped at a little raised hut for a bathroom break and African inspired snack. It was delicious and we got to spend some time with our guides and watch the animals. During the Trek, our guides we constantly taking picture for us and of us so we didn't have to worry about taking pictures. All the pics they take come free with your tour package so they don't hit you up to pay for them after. The pics turned out great! If you have a little adventure in you and want to get really close to the animals and learn about them, go on this tour. Ask for Chris and Mandi and you cannot go wrong!!!

SeaWorld rescues animals of all kinds and this is your chance to interact with those animals…read more There is a fee to sign up for this experience. I have been going to SeaWorld for years but this tour was a jewel. You get to interact with a variety of species, learn about how SeaWorld came to be the custodian of the animal and sometimes touch an animal. The actual animals in the experience change day to day and you may be allowed to touch but you definitely get a photo opportunity with each species of animal. The handlers or Animal Ambassadors are the stars of the show. They have years of experience and tell you about how Seaworld came to host the animal, how they care for the animal and explain how and why you interact with each animal on the tour. Depending on the weather (reptiles don't like cooler temps so if it is below 70 they do not bring out these animals or the sloth), the variety on the tour can change. I honestly can't wait to go back and do this again. We saw flamingos, a fuzzy white three legged possum, two small screech owls, a bald eagle, and a few other animals. It was fun to hear the trainers talk about taking the bald eagle on a plane for appearances and how they care for the eagle in the hotel before they make an appearance. Almost all of the animals have a story on how they were rescued and why they can no longer live in the wild. This was a very educational tour but in the best way because you learned by hearing about the animal's habits and biology. This outdoor tour lasts 30 minutes and you meet to start the tour in front of the Nautilus theater next to the Infinity Falls ride. It does not involve a lot of walking however you would need to stand comfortably. There are benches in the viewing area so I suppose you could sit and observe from there if need be, however you would not get the up close viewing or interaction. At the end they provide you with a small card that tells about each animal that you interacted with and give you a tip that other cards may be available at other animal experiences within the park. This was a nice little perk and a good way to remember your tour.

He has a lot of knowledge on the local wildlife, flora, and notable past and present residents of the area. All seats require advance booking by phone, and at just $25 per person - it's incredibly reasonable for everything you will see and learn. Be sure to take pictures! The lakefront homes are gorgeous. I really appreciated that the group size was small as it creates a more intimate setting and makes it easier to engage with Captain Steve and ask questions throughout the tour. 5 stars.

Makes for an especially excellent Floridian wildlife tour if you're not from here. We really enjoyed ourselves and thank him for the memorable experience. Thanks Steve! We brought waters and recommend you sunscreen yourself up. And FYI, portable toilets are near the ramp and proper restrooms are at the front of the park. One of the locks doesn't work. Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! lol
