By the time I was done, I was practically a puddle on the spa table. Hailey was my technician and she was an absolute sweetheart -- attentive, skilled, and clearly passionate about what she does. My scalp felt squeaky clean after the double shampoo and scalp detox, which is something I didn't even know I needed until now. The Zen Deluxe package is incredibly comprehensive. You're getting a scalp analysis, eye treatment with a warm crystal eye mask, gentle face exfoliation, a mini facial massage with hydrating mask, therapeutic scalp massage, neck and shoulder muscle relaxation, cold water circulation therapy, a microcurrent facial treatment, and more. It reads like a menu of everything your body didn't know it was craving. One small note for my fellow curly girlies: the included basic blow dry isn't tailored for curly textures (it's not a true blowout). There is an upcharge option to have your hair straightened, but if you're looking for curl-friendly styling, just know you may want to plan accordingly and opt for air dry. They have the standard massage chairs. You can use the remote to turn in the back massage while they work on your feet and hands. The arm rests flip up so that you can easily get into your seat despite the basin at the base of your chair. They have a laminated menu that explains each procedure and has the prices listed. This makes it convenient for you to decide exactly which services you are interested in receiving. Plus, knowing the price up front prevents any confusion about how much you will owe. I'm always greeted upon entering the establishment. Unlike most people, I usually go with a clear coat. However, they are good about asking you which color polish you want. You can spend time studying the wall of color and let then know your decision. You can also choose different colors and types of polish for your feet and hands. They have a new video screen that was playing wonderful clips of 3D nail art. I enjoyed watching the clips while receiving my service and almost indulged in this creative fun. With Halloween approaching, a lot of the 3D nail art included nails looking like pumpkins, pumpkin patches, candy corn, monsters and ghosts. It was really inspiring to watch. Perhaps the next time I'm here, I will indulge. I had two technicians work on me at the same time. If I were in a hurry, this would be ideal, but I almost prefer one technician taking the time to do both my mani and pedi. It's so much more relaxing. It's uncomfortable when the two technicians are pulling and prodding on you in two different directions. Plus, if I have one person, the finished product is likely to be consistent and at least one of my limbs is likely to be dry. Today, neither were dry, but I thought they were. My fingernails were completely flubbed by the time I got home. I'll have to paint them again, but at least they are shaped and cleaned up. The man that works here is super nice. He said it is a family business and his mother-in-law worked on my mani. While she didn't speak English, he was kind enough to translate when I needed something.

I hadn't had my nails done in a long time, so I was really excited for this appointment until the…read moreexperience took a turn. I chose a red French tip. The base was done nicely, but once the French tip was started, it looked uneven and lopsided, with one side noticeably thicker than the other. After two nails on each hand were completed, I politely spoke up and apologized for not saying something sooner. Unfortunately, the nail technician responded in a very hostile manner, telling me, "You should've told me sooner," in a mean and dismissive tone. I understood her point and apologized again, simply asking if the French tips could be made a bit thinner. From that point on, her attitude became increasingly hostile. It was also very obvious that she was talking about me to the nail technician next to her, as they both looked over at me and my nails while speaking. This made me extremely uncomfortable, and I no longer felt at ease addressing any further concerns. She continued working on my nails, but her frustration was clearly reflected in the final result. My nails are uneven and not worth the amount I paid. A young woman I believe to be a supervisor came over and spoke to the technician, and it appeared she had already been informed of the situation, as she also looked closely at me and my nails. Due to how I was treated and the uncomfortable environment, I did not feel safe or comfortable speaking up to anyone at the salon. I am very upset not only with how my nails turned out, but also with how I was treated as a customer. I would not recommend this nail salon as a French tip full set is proved to be a complicated request.
