I really like this place. They have always taken me as a walk-in customer. I never make appointments because I never know when I'm going to get an hour free to get a mani and a pedi. They have the standard massage chairs. You can use the remote to turn in the back massage while they work on your feet and hands. The arm rests flip up so that you can easily get into your seat despite the basin at the base of your chair. They have a laminated menu that explains each procedure and has the prices listed. This makes it convenient for you to decide exactly which services you are interested in receiving. Plus, knowing the price up front prevents any confusion about how much you will owe. I'm always greeted upon entering the establishment. Unlike most people, I usually go with a clear coat. However, they are good about asking you which color polish you want. You can spend time studying the wall of color and let then know your decision. You can also choose different colors and types of polish for your feet and hands. They have a new video screen that was playing wonderful clips of 3D nail art. I enjoyed watching the clips while receiving my service and almost indulged in this creative fun. With Halloween approaching, a lot of the 3D nail art included nails looking like pumpkins, pumpkin patches, candy corn, monsters and ghosts. It was really inspiring to watch. Perhaps the next time I'm here, I will indulge. I had two technicians work on me at the same time. If I were in a hurry, this would be ideal, but I almost prefer one technician taking the time to do both my mani and pedi. It's so much more relaxing. It's uncomfortable when the two technicians are pulling and prodding on you in two different directions. Plus, if I have one person, the finished product is likely to be consistent and at least one of my limbs is likely to be dry. Today, neither were dry, but I thought they were. My fingernails were completely flubbed by the time I got home. I'll have to paint them again, but at least they are shaped and cleaned up. The man that works here is super nice. He said it is a family business and his mother-in-law worked on my mani. While she didn't speak English, he was kind enough to translate when I needed something. read more

This review is based solely on GelX service. Quinn, the owner, seems to be the only tech knowledgeable at the time of this post to do this application. Please call ahead as she was servicing someone's eyebrows. They have all the nail shapes. I prefer this service myself at home, but I was visiting my hometown and going on vacation, so I needed them redone. By the first night the nail on my leg thumb had lifted clean off. By the second night (after I had already gotten the thumb fixed) the middle and index finger of my right hand had lifted clean off. Meanwhile I'm on vacation and bought nail glue just in case this happened. I personally wouldn't come back here fly this service, but the shop is nice and so or the nail techs and I believe they're more comfortable with acrylic. OVERPRICED. First time getting a pedicure since Covid shutdown. Experience was fine, not great. They make you sign a waiver that you won't hold them liable if you contract Covid. I don't have an issue with this since I am making a conscious choice to get my nails done in this new environment. Their policies don't make sense, however. For example, they wrap the pillows in plastic but they hand every customer the same polish selection book. I understand it's going to be difficult for service businesses to adapt. In general my 2 stars are for an ok experience in terms of scrub, nail care, polish, massage. Definitely not the best I've had (not close). Pedicure was $50 PLUS $20 for Gel (Shellac). $70!?!! I usually go to we only wax just next door to this shop and figured I would give it a shot, they never look very busy which is perfect for me! I booked an appointment for Sunday at 12:30 for two pedicures for both my mom and I. The woman on the phone was apparently the owner so I was rather excited to treat my mom to a girls day. I must admit on Sunday the day of our appointment I arrived four minutes late at 12:34. There were two women working on pedicures and I think fixing someone's manicure. We chose our color and we sat down. At 1:15 someone finally came over to start working on one of us. I asked if it was possible that we both have it done at the same time seeing as how I had made an appointment. According to Karen, the woman who worked on my moms pedicure, the owner of the shop walked out and was suppose to come do my pedicure but after waiting 45 mins I just didn't want to wait any longer. The manager finally arrived and was rather rude when she spoke to me, not making eye contact, messing about on her phone, and denying the fact I made an appointment. After I showed her my call history on my phone for when I booked our appointment she offered me a free pedicure that would only take "30 mins". My problem was never the cost of the service I just had other plans that day. I politely said I no longer wanted any service and I was just disappointed that it didn't work out because I was so excited for this place. I just didn't want a rushed pedicure. She also kept telling me that her waxing appointment didn't show up this morning? I don't see how that is relevant to me when I showed up for my appointment. It was also extremely unprofessional to mention that in my opinion because logically, if that was the case she would have had the time to start on me when my moms pedicure was started. After that she went back to her phone. It just was not a nice experience. Karen was very sweet and nice with my mom. The only thing I feel it's important to mention is she did use a nail drill on my moms toes which I think isn't right? She left and all her toe nails were very sore. I've never heard of using a drill on anything other than acrylic. There is a lot of nail salons in dallas and now I know why I never saw their shop very busy. Please save yourself the trouble and try one of the other nail salons in the area. I really wish I could give no stars but the one star in this review is for Karen's efforts. But also Karen only used one coat of paint and my moms pedicure kinda looks like shit. read more

Nevertheless, I was really happy with the way we were treated and the quality of the work. I received complements from my girlier girlfriends. This place is right by my office, so out of convenience, I've been cheating on my regular nail salon and coming here the past few times. I've never really been fully happy with their mani or pedi. I always leave feeling that it could've been a bit better. Until today, I would've given them two stars...after today, that has changed. Well, it was my last straw. I popped in for my usual mani/pedi combo. They did ask if it was my lunch hour to which I replied YES but also that there was no need to rush it either. You would have thought that I had told them that both treatments needed to take 30 minutes tops. They rushed thru it so quickly that two finger nails have rough edges as if only partially filed. I'm not even going to talk about my toenails. To make it worse, they put the polish on so thickly that I have bubbles in it...and I guess I'm supposed to ignore the fact that there's polish all over the tips of my toes?!?! I spoke up about both the rough edge and too-thick polish. My only reply was that I could file it after it dried more if I wanted and that the polish I brought with me must've been old (I just purchased it last night and its a brand new Essie color...so its fresh).
