I was quite disappointed with my trip to Yogo. I am a sucker for any healthy, juicy, smoothie kind…read moreof place where I can create a weird and wonderful concoction, so I was excited when I walked into Yogo, which opened up in Kingston a few months ago. The premise is simple, a place which serves fat free frozen yogurt, and an optional topping of your choice. I had just returned from LA, where I had been introduced to the famous Pinkberry store, which operates on the same principal. I had loved what I had ordered there, and found it very good value for money. I had hoped for the same thing with Yogo, so ordered a small pot with an extra topping. This came to £3.00! the small serving is extremely small, and there was not a huge choice of toppings - about 15 or 16 different types of fruit and a few sweet things like granola, mixed nuts and coconut shavings. It just seems so expensive for something so small. a large serving with a couple of toppings will bring it up to about £5.00. Who can afford to spend this much on frozen yogurt? I went off feeling a bit short changed. I still had my pot when I walked into the health food store around the corner, and the guy behind the till asked my opinion of the place. I told him my gripe, and he said that a lot of people have made the similar complaint - that it is just too expensive. The fact that this place seems quiet when I have gone past echos this; I hope that the prices can be amended, because in principle it is a good, and healthy idea.

When I first saw their logo and chanced upon this place I thought it was a new yoga venue with a 'clever' name Since my first visit and having discovered more I'm not sure the Paris link is a major selling point but I am a fan of frozen yogurt and theirs professes to be organic and pro-biotic, with just 94 calories in a 100g portion. It's refreshing on a summer's day and a healthier alternative to traditional ice-cream; try it au naturel or go further and up-the-taste by adding a virtuous fresh fruit topping (berry, banana, kiwi or mango), if you're in an indulgent mood add-in chocolate chips, coconut, granola or mixed nuts. (The basic product tastes just like what it is - frozen natural yogurt without a huge amount of flavour.) Then again, you could simply come in here for an organic Fair Trade tea or a reviving Brazilian guarana-fruit bar. It's not the cheapest snack option around (a small portion starts at £1.85) but if you're looking for something cool, healthy and satisfying, it fits the bill in a relatively guilt-free way. You can take a break from your shopping exertions or riverside wandering and eat-in here at one of the simple white table settings or just purchase to-go. Staff are enthusiastic, helpful, patient and happy to offer suggestions or wait while you make your choice. I guess it will be the first in a line of several branches.

This place is not for those who prefer posh teapots and fancy cutlery. This place is so simple and yet has a great fan following. Almost always busy and filed with Indian vegetarian crowd. Oh and did I forget! This place only serves vegetarian food. Apparently they have two branches in London. The other one is in Southall. I haven't been there ever, so I wouldn't be able to confirm if the food and quality is the same. But looking at the number of people flocking in during weekends, you cannot doubt the awesomeness of their food. Anyone who loves Indian street food, called chat would love to try out the selection here. It is pretty amazing. And if you have had your meal and want to top it up with some delicious Indian sweets get ready for another treat. However all that is great. But never order tea from here. Tea is actually tea flavoured milk. So much milk that I could barely taste the tea. So apart from that everything else is just the best.

Really would have given a 1 star review except for the cheery welcome and goodbye by the lady owner on entry and exit. Ordered saag and makki ki roti, after 15 minutes the one member of staff said it was unavailable. I asked why and he said kitchen is busy doing other things, how long do I have to wait, 40 minutes. Instead ordered idli which comes with a bowl of sambar. The sambar was tasty and had a good balance between spices and heat, the masala dosa was cold and filling small. Three times Mum gestured towards the waiter that we're still waiting for our tandoori naan, he acknowledged each time but in the end no naan appeared he'd forgotten to instruct the kitchen. Went to pay the bill and just as usual the naan had been added to the bill so I then had to explain we never got the naan, the lady scanned our table suspiciously but could see we were correct. I explained how poor the experience was and she said they got unexpectedly busy but it wasn't busy at all, they just always run this and the Southall location on a skeleton staff. The final straw came when a Sikh family ordered the saag and makki ki roti takeaway at the counter which was about 40 minutes later then when we were first told it was unavailable, they were told something else that they had run out of saag. The grocery store next to Chini Chor sells spinach so could easily have been resolved.

For a date, family meal and a big group celebration- I've never had a bad experience. Their breakfast and brunch offerings are fantastic. The food portions are good, they taste amazing and they're good value being similar to other restaurants in the area for price. They serve breakfast until 4.30pm weekdays and serve brunch 11am-4pm at the weekend, my kinda hours (who's finished brunch by 12 on a Sunday ever?! Why do places do that?). Alongside their extensive breakfast menu they're a great choice for lunch or dinner. I can thoroughly recommend most of their menu, having visited plenty of times. I found their ribs to be delicious, with plenty of sauce and no dryness. Their seasoned fries and sweet potato fries are both perfectly crisp outside and fluffy inside. A personal favourite of my boyfriend and I is nipping in for a cheap lunch and sharing the half (or full, if the four of us are out) yard of tacos for £7.95 or £14.50 respectively. With five fillings to choose from there's an option to suit most tastes and they're full of flavour. The pulled pork are especially good. The staff are always cheerful, smiling and genuinely happy to help. Service has always been 100% on every visit. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Limeyard to everyone.

Since we've moved to Ealing over two years ago this has happened a grand total of...one time. We often walked past LimeYard and have always liked the casual and fun vibes it has, so we thought brunch would have been a perfect chance to try it out (no risk of spoiling a whole evening out if it turned out to be terrible, I'm smart like that). Despite the nice weather we sat inside (they have a small area on the front with a few tables), the diner-style table I wanted was busy sadly so we were seated in one of the two-people square tables along the sofa/bench. Watch out as the butt might slightly slide off that one. My other half ordered a full Yard (their Americanised version of a full English) and I ordered salmon eggs benedict. They usually come with spinach, but EEWW, GREENS! so I had mine without. Instead of English muffins they are served on a massive slice of brioche, which I now prefer ten thousand times over English Muffins for my eggs benedict. It was really really really tasty, and I'm salivating just thinking about it. We also ordered a croissant with butter and jam, for good measure. Came split in two ready to welcome the spread. Very yummy. We also ordered two freshly squeezed orange juices. All was served really quickly, maybe too quick (every time I'm served within 10 minutes I feel like I'm being rushed out...but that's me) and the service was kind and efficient. Really wish I was not back on diet so I could pop there again this weekend. OH WELL! Will definitely be back to try dinner.
