My poor sewing machine had been sleeping all these years after one use but it has definitely been over worked these days, in a good way. So far, I've taken Sewing 101 and within 2 weekends I've learned to make so many items, such as table napkins, tool bag, pillow case, and reversible tote. My favorite has been the tote bag that I've gone fabric frenzy; thank goodness Joann was having a sale. By no means my sewing skills is perfect after one class and I've been best friends with the seam ripper, but it's been non stop fun making these one of a kind items picked and made by me that are actually functional. Not only are the classes fun, you really learn all the facts and know hows that'll go a long way if you really want continue mastering your skills. Signed up for 102 class already and exited to see how these classes can help me in a long way.

I left my first session understanding so much about my new machine, as well as how to use it. Not to mention, my first project was so beautiful that I could not believe I actually did it. LOL! She further helped me by giving me pamphlets and websites to read to help me once I returned back home. I would give her 10 stars if the system allowed, for I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. I drove 2 hours to attend this one-on-one training and it was worth every mile. I can't wait until our next class! I originally stopped by in search of pottery classes--and was delighted to find not only that they offer them, but also that a new session begins on October 13th. In addition, there's a Fall Break Art Camp for grades 2-5, where children will experiment with a range of media including watercolor, acrylics, and collage. As I walked through the space, I was able to watch artists at work and enjoy the current gallery exhibits on display. The atmosphere was inspiring and welcoming. Adult fall classes--running October 6th through December 13th--are also available, covering both visual and ceramic arts. Each class is taught by individual instructors, making it approachable for students of all levels. Best of all, online registration makes it simple to sign up. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that such a wonderful resource has been right in my neighborhood all along. It was a great experience, and I've already registered for pottery classes--something I'm really excited about! I had to do a grocery delivery for a student at Berry College today. And that was the worst…read moreexperience I have had doing this job in over a year. Not Only was I treated unprofessionally, but the student was as well. My purse was recently stolen and I had to order a new drivers license when I got to the welcome center. I showed them the delivery order and the license order and situation the young guy at the gate had to go in and speak to this overweight girl with who is taking her job a little too serious and she refused to allow me to deliver the order. They told me to call the customer and make her come to the welcome center which is a 15 minute walk one way and it is over 70° today with all of her groceries. Which would have taken her at least three trips she was finally able to find a ride up there, but the welcome center only had one available parking spot. to be a handicap spot. And even though the overweight lady knew that they were coming up there to quickly get the groceries she sent the extremely overly aggressive wanna be police out there to harass these poor kids. I was absolutely shocked at how aggressive he was approaching them knowing they were just picking up their groceries that the fat girl wanted them to walk in the heat to get knowing that she would never do that. They were so apologetic and polite to this man, and he just continued to talk to them like they were beneath him had that been my kid he was speaking to I would have went to jail today and the fact that parents pay as much money as they do for these kids to attend that school just for them to be treated like that is insane to me!!!!!! there is absolutely no justification for how any of that played out today!! that wanna be police officer and that overweight girls need a serious lesson in professionalism!!!! I have never seen that type of behavior from anyone at College until today and honestly, I could care less about how they treated me but the way that they treated students at that campus is absolutely not. OK. Y'all should be ashamed!! them sweet kids look like they wanted to cry. They said that that is the normal there.

I visited Berry college yesterday because I was in the area, and I've heard that they had some…read moreexcellent hiking trails. It's very close to the Marietta and Rome, GA communities. I stopped by the entrance visitor's gate, they gave me a visitors map so I could sightsee their campus. The campus is very beautiful and well maintained by the college staff. Their hiking trails and also well maintained and they're not overgrown with weeds and shrubs. They also have cottages that can be rented by visiting family, friends, or guests which looked quite cozy and comfortable. I'm sure that we will return for another visit and check out some more of their hiking trails on our next trip to the area!!!!

Going to college alone is just not enough to build a good book, in my opinion. And The Creative Circus is the place to be if you wanna go to portfolio school. (And have people constantly asking you, 'wait whaaat? where do you go to school?') I didn't just build a book there, though. I met some amazingly talented, super smart (so smart they're intimidating at times but also awesome) people, and made connections. People say your college friends are 'for life,' but honestly, my Circus friends are the ones I'll never forget. Plus, the people are really nice. Very low asshole population. That is saying something. Also, they didn't pay me to write this. PEACE.

Even though I took art studies and pottery classes in college (all four years), I still learn every single class when I am with Lesther. He really is a fantastic teacher!! This particular session I made two mugs, three bowls, and two plates. They all went to the glazing fire last week, and I will be able to pick my finished pieces up in 10 days. The Pottery room consists of two large rooms with different sections for hand work, glazing, firing and the pottery wheels. This area is my happy place, and I plan to take as many classes as I can moving forward and become a pottery member. Have a fantastic summer, make a lot of memories, and find your happy place. We reserved a space as a courtesy but I appreciate the drop in option. There are no pressure sale tactics to rope you into buying classes or dates with penalties. It promotes the love of art period. Parents can deop their kid off for a class and everyone is happily discovering their artsy self. The offer language classes and piano lessons as well. The theme is giving and avenue to express creativity with no pressures. I was so pleased to learn they have camps for when schools out as well as host parties. Most of the teachers have been there a while with professional experience and a love of art with patience which promotes creativity at reasonable prices. I'm grateful for their flexibility because when the rain caused a delay it was really good of them to offer my daughter a shared private lesson where she was able to connect with another young person who shared her interests in art. That was really amazing to witness two young people on the same artistic wavelength getting lost in their lesson. My daughter plans to return and we recommend this place to anyone who has a child who loves arts.
