Would tell me he'd be there at 10:00 a.m. and then wouldn't come until 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. if she showed up. The floors were done horribly (all kinds of sanding marks not smooth) and he left me with an absolute mess when he tried to fix what he damaged on my trim and refuses to fix that.

The coating had waves in it and the owner of Dream Garages agreed that his product was unacceptable but claimed it was not his problem. He claimed the concrete was not level. I had another epoxy floor contractor look at their final product who said, if the concrete substrate was not level, Dream Garages should have known it was not level enough to produce an acceptable finished product when they were doing their prep work on the concrete. If the concrete was not level as Dream Garages claims, it should have had been brought to our attention at that time, as we could have grinded the concrete level. I believe I was owed any information of pre-existing conditions that would have prohibited an acceptable final product from Dream Garage Specialists When Dream Garages applied their epoxy to the concrete, they accepted the concrete as acceptable or they should have not have applied their epoxy to it. At the end, I had construction fatigue and paid Dream Garages in full just for it to be over.

The screw ups where to many to mention here but the highlights are: Misaligned and crooked grout lines, Tiles not flush, exhaust fan not vented thru roof. And to top it off they did not pull a permit for the electrical or plumbing. They even hid a junction box behind the sheetrock in a wall ( this is a major NEC violation). I had to hire a master electrician to come in and fix the wiring. i did get compensation back from lowes after the store manager finally came out to look at the horrible install. This is not a good company to do business with!

The installers were particularly good and dealt with my quirky hall bathroom vanity with the odd angled corner very well and got it all to fit perfectly! They were also fine with my using a non standard little oval sink to fit that space. I decided to keep my Santa Cecilia kitchen granite instead of replacing so that I could do the bathrooms and they did a great job of fixing the chips, reconditioning it, and making the cooktop hole a little larger so that it would fit my new cooktop. I am now looking at re-doing my fireplace with them because they just do such good work at a fair price.

Blue Diamond did a terrific job…read more We had spoken to many contractors, but too many either did not return calls, or wanted to make cosmetic changes but not fix the basics, or wanted to do work without city permits and inspections. Our small 1958 house needed all the basics. Sewer lines needed replacement, water line needed replacement, interior galvanized plumbing lines needed replacement. Unsafe ungrounded electrical wiring needed replacement. We needed more outlets, better lighting, outside outlets. HVAC was in attic, old, not up to code and ripped ducting. Needed to be replaced and relocated. Roof needed replacement, old aluminum single glazed windows needed to go. Cream shag carpet and ugly hard to clean floor tile (which was on counter and backsplash too) had to go. We needed insulation. A proper vent for the stove. New backsplash and counters, new toilet and sinks. We left our fifties single bath and cupboards to save money. In only a little over two months from start of work, working with city inspectors and all up to code, they took our house down to the bare concrete floors, the ceilings down, the bare bones exposed, and built it back up, new, improved, everything safe and working, and much more beautiful. With a working kitchen and finally a dishwasher and disposal and washer dryer! The bones are 1958 but the house is 2020. Shout outs to Hayk the electricIan, Zach the plumber, David the carpenter, all the drywall guys and everyone else for doing a great job. Max addressed any issues promptly, and was very responsive. The team accommodated us staying on site with the cats, and there were no escapes. Having the in-house Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing made all the difference. Sometimes we had multiple crews working simultaneously. Everyone was courteous and wonderful to work with. The whole house was brought up to code and passed all the needed inspections. and even the inspectors commented on the quality work that was being done. We still have a small, three bedroom one bath house, but it's now the house we dreamed it could be. In fact, we had everyone sign the house as they finished! Quality craftsmanship is an art form, and we are delighted with the results. Blue Diamond worked well with outside contractors, too. To save some bucks, we had Window World do the windows and a neighbor did a great job paintIng. This caused no problems. On time, at budget (yes there were a few unforeseen items that brought it up but nothing serious)). And now we have a beautiful home we can retire in. Kudos to Blue Diamond, one and all! I hired Bellus to install vinyl flooring over my tile about a year ago. I love the Kardean product…read moreI bought from them. It's really easy to maintain, resists water and normal wear with proper upkeep. While I liked my salesperson, the rest of the experience bordered on surreal. The first and second days I had a crew of about 12 people working in my house for about 14 hours each day. The crew left the second day and reported they were done. However, they had damaged my flooring during the install in several places, improperly installed bowed molding in a few more, had inconsistent molding cuts in the doorways, among other installation issues. I've included just a few pictures to highlight their work. There were many instances of each example. I think I had them out 4 times to replace flooring the installers damaged and fix improperly installed molding. There are other smaller issues I won't go into detail about that revolve around excessive use of caulk and not cleaning up after themselves. The salesperson asked me to write lists of what I needed addressed, which I did, several more times over a week or so. One of the things that was a challenge for me was knowing what the new flooring should look like and dealing with installers who had mysogenistic attitudes towards a female when I'd correct their work, as the salesperson asked me to do. They even had the audacity to curse me in Spanish, thinking I wouldn't know the word they were using. I was dismayed to find such a lack of support from the company's representatives, and the lack of respect and workmanship of their installers. We eventually got the flooring done. I decided I preferred to have a few issues I had to fix myself rather than have their workers in my house again. I was also tired of having to clean up after their workers. Every time they came into my house I had to dust, vacume, and mop. It was comical watching them trying to vacume the carpets in an adjacent room with a vacume cleaner that was overfilled with dust from another job. The workers didn't bother to try and contain the mess, even when I provided plastic sheeting to them. I provided them a bill for the services I'd provided that they'd promised and not provided, and was compensated. I wouldn't say don't use this company, they offer very competitive rates. If you don't live in the building they're working on, they'd probably do fine. If you don't mind having to do reiterative quality checks, great. If you're planning on doing your own clean up, even better. If you're one of the people who's moved here from the NE, you'll enjoy the opportunity to get into heated arguments with the installers every day.
