I purchased cabinets and quartz from JL recently. Things started off well. I was working with Chloe. I had a separate contractor for everything except countertop installation. When it came time to measure for the cabinets and countertop the gentleman didn't say "good morning", "nice to meet you". Nothing. He just came in, did the measuring and left. When it came time for countertop installation we hit a snag because Chloe said my contractor hadn't installed the bottom cabinets level. As a result, I, as the customer, got put in the middle. I was already under a lot of stress trying to make sure that everything came together in a timely manner. It is very unprofessional to put the customer in the middle like that. I am happy with the quality of the countertop and the installation of the countertop and sink. The cabinets are nice looking. I paid for assembly and one of the drawers was not installed but seemingly put in in a very hasty fashion. My contractor put it on track and it is useable now but still rather tough to pull out. Luckily, I don't use it much. I will say I absolutely love the Lazy Susan. Two stars have been withheld for poor customer service. I may use JL in the future if I feel like the customer service has improved. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I had a horrible experience with this place. Cabinets came with scratches and dents. They rescheduled our installation date 3 times because they were behind on other projects. When they finally showed up to install they didn't finish in the two days they said it would take. They ordered the wrong bathroom cabinet and then tried to blame us even though the invoice and contract clearly stated the correct items. When asked to replace the wrong cabinet they said it would take 2 months to come in. Installer left a huge mess of material that he didn't bother to clean up and to top it off his truck left an oil stain in my driveway. They were completely unwilling to take responsibility for their many mistakes and still expected me to pay full price. They are cheap for a reason, you get what you pay for! read more

I had the cabinets installed and they broke the Schedule C PVC pipe and took a picture after they broke it. I personally removed the cabinets and had everything ready for the install and the guys denied it. They also did not cover my floors and left all kinds of scratches on it. No care for homeowners homes! After the granite people came and knew I didn't have the cook top in the house and installed after they came back they cut inside the house without plastic cover, opened two windows and they knew I had cats and left a gray kitchen, living room and my cats left the house. The dust traveled all over the house through the vents and they didn't hold them selves responsible. Instead Chloe sends you all kids of messages denying what happen cause the installers tell her that. Lots of dust left behind for my cats and my kids and I. Had terrible allergies after for a whole week. These people are not professional at all! I went to them with the assumption that I would not go through all this and instead it was worse. They sent a plumber a week later and didn't fix my sheet rock only covers with the cabinet. This is by far the worse experience I have ever encountered while remodeling the house. read more

All I can say is WOW for this company. I just got my countertops installed and it looks great. Chloe and MiMi were amazing to deal with along with their installation team. There were patient with me asking several questions and there was no pressure to buy. All questions were timely answered. The installation team was very respectful of my time as I was attending work meetings during installation and tried to keep noise level at minimum. Subsequently I had a minor issue with countertop which was corrected timely. Good price and great customer service. I would highly recommend this company for your needs on countertops. I paid $4573 for Quartz counters that upon first install were cut too short length wise which created gaps filled with messy caulk, cuts were not aligned and did not join at intersections, the caulking (easiest part) appeared incomplete/missing in several areas, a large area of molding was broken and exposed (not minor) - and the company refused to fix the molding or conceal it with Quartz referring me instead to fine print in the "company disclaimer policy". Install process took 6 days instead of 2-3. I had to request the team to re-do lousy work; the installers thought I would accept bad work for $4572. At project completion there are still seams that don't line up to corners that the company did not correct because that would have required replacing the counters with longer pieces of Quartz and essentially starting install over. The company cut corners to bandaid the easily correctable areas, while leaving other lousy work. I'm just disheartened that I paid $4572 for such work. read more

Then I walked in to JL Cabinet and wow do they know their business. They made it process so easy. They are very knowledagble and have a wide range of products they give you expert recommendations on. They also are very up front with pricing and provide it lightening fast! I kept changing my mind on countertops and they were so nice and helpful providing updated quotes on material changes instantly. What impresses me most is that they are so meticulous. From office staff before the install where they put it all together, get all the appliance measurements (so your end result looks more custom) to the on site install. I can't even begin to tell you how professional the crew was. They were meticulous on the install! With measurements and leveling, the whole nine yards. Making sure all doors line up every opening and measurement was EXACT. My walls were funky on a bulkhead so the crew redid the crown molding 4 times until it was perfect. Under a microscope perfect. And not because I asked or said anything, but because they literally wanted every inch to be perfect. And all that it only took them a day and a half to complete. They also kept it very clean vacuuming all the time so there was no sawdust etc everywhere. I didn't even tell them my daughter was asthmatic and I like to keep work areas with minimal dust, this is just their standard operating procedure! I was crazy impressed. Because I can be picky and they are WAY pickier than I ever thought of being. I am overjoyed with the results. Beyond expectation!!! ....And because one of the things that I found most annoying when planning this kitchen remodel is the length of time to get pricing and the mystery around pricing... I'll be super up front with you on the amazing prices J&L has. I got several bids on cabinets, one for 11k with Kent Moore, Another for 9k with a semi custom group, and J&L's was 5400..installed! I don't normally leave reviews for things that meet my expectations, but I would say these folks are worth giving them a look for counters. We had quartz installed, they showed up masked,, installed, were here after dark and all good. The next morning I noticed a dull spot on a very visible spot in the daytime and called them to come back. The owner came by and under plastic polished it out and its perfect, no fuss and no mess under the plastic bubble he created for the splatter. We are happy, looks great. We had our own quartz sink too, not the stainless one they provide so consider your own sink to make it POP. All in all we are happy. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodeling job and took bids from multiple cabinet and countertop installers, including Lowe's, Home Depot, and Prosource. JL beat them all on price with a better product. The JL cabinets were their lowest price option but still made of all wood. The others were wood and particle board and still cost more. The pricing on quartz countertops was equally impressive. They installed both for us, all within three weeks of my initial quote. They did a poor job of following up with me when I had questions about my project. They consistently told me that they would email me/call me back and then never would. Pros: Work well done within time frame Cons: difficult to communicate at times They came to do my counter tops in my kitchen and restrooms. They also installed the backsplash. They usually have a 3 week build out but they were able to do Mine with in a week. They came used my drive way and started work and measurements. They set down protective matts for the flooring. They finished all the work with in 2 days. Only thing I would have wished for was better communication on when they would arrive, if I had to be present for the installation (I was the whole first day) and when to arrive back to my home when they left. They usually worked 10am to 5pm I learned on the second day. While they were working if I had a question or wanted them to do something a certain way it was difficult to communicate with them what I wanted. I only know English and Spanish so I had to call their main office to ask them to relay the message. Keep in mind these are counter top installers. You must provide all the materials for the backsplash. They will cut the holes for the sockets and install. Only negative thing I have to say is that they did do a small nick of damage to dry wall while installing the counter tops but I was able to fill it and paint over it. Also no matter much they cleaned up after themselves you're probably gonna have to do a deep clean after they leave once the dust settles. I'd recommend storing away the things under your countertops. They also do not install your fixtures for faucets. You will have to do that yourself or get a Plumber. They ended up moving or disconnecting something by my dish washer that caused it to have a small leak which the plumber was able to fix. All in all I would recommend these folks! read more

Who buys granite countertops as an impulse purchase? I do! I was next door at Custom Sounds and decided to explore the shopping center. Minutes later I was next door at JL and making an appointment for measurements. I replaced some ugly cultured marble in two bathrooms for a great price. I paid a deposit and the countertops were installed about two weeks later. They are gorgeous and the crew was great about making sure they were level and instlaled well. The only downside is this is kind of a messy job so there was a lot of vacuuming afterward, but who cares, I have gorgeous counters and they included beautiful undermount sinks at no extra cost. If I need other cabinet or granite projects done, I'll absolutely go back. read more

JL is wonderful. From the time we came in to look at finishes to the installation of our fancy new counters, we received wonderful service from JL. We wanted nice counters, but didn't want to break the bank. JL were the only ones we found who had high quality at a low price. We picked out our quartz (on sale! Amazing deal) and they came to measure a few days after that. One thing I really liked is that all of the quotes they give you are installation included; the price they give you is the price you pay.They ask for a deposit before they schedule the install, and you pay the rest when you're satisfied. We also got a free sink with installation. They will take out your existing sink but can't install your new one, and they let us know that far in advance. On the day of the install, three men came; they were on time, they knew what they were doing, and they were courteous. The install went on from 9:30 to about 4:15. They did a great job and we couldn't be happier with the price, product or service we received from JL. read more
