Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.

However, my appreciation and rating is based on the work, as well as the price. The two electricians who showed up were fantastic. Jason and Todd were one of two teams that GSW has, and they were excellent. They had the outline of the job, but talked with me to get all the details and my preferences. I was really impressed. I deal with a lot of contractors, and these guys were good. They mapped out the installation plan and deferred to me how I wanted things done, made recommendations and gave solid advice on the project. The workmanship was very good and the guys really have skill. The were exceptionally careful to not damage anything and made sure that the electrical install worked perfectly at each stage before moving on to the next phase. They encouraged me to ask questions and gave honest, no BS answers on it all. I was very impressed. Highly recommend GSW and Jason/Todd. Will hire again!

Well after he has just completed our project here in Mount Airy, I would give him a 6 if there was one available!! Lol.....George or Spencer as he likes to be called, is the owner of GSW and I dealt with him directly through out the course of the project. GSW is a small family company that takes the time to understand the needs of their clients no matter how big or small they may be. Spencer has two main "Hot Shots", Jason and Chris who handle all of the dirty work and they are the nicest most accommodating two young men that you would ever like to meet. I could go on for a few more hours but unfortunately I must move on to more important things like...........Football! Go Steelers! Alec and Suzanne work as a cohesive, professional team and they are meticulous and knowledgeable in their work.  The top priority for them is to ensure the work performed meets all code and safety standards.  Alec examined the circuit box and all the wiring that had been done. He identified multiple problems that needed to be corrected in order to pass final inspection and offered excellent solutions.  He completed connections to two new Ring security cameras, two outdoor ceiling fans, multiple outdoor lights and outlets. More importantly, Alec made sure he was present during the final electric inspection so he could answer any questions the inspector might have. Residential Electric Solutions prices were not the cheapest, but were clearly outlined in the initial quote.  The work was done on time, neatly and professionally and all city inspections were passed.  It was very clear to us that Alec and Suzanne have a lot of experience with installing electric on new additions and we were thankful they helped us out of our nightmare.
