Alec and Suzanne work as a cohesive, professional team and they are meticulous and knowledgeable in their work.  The top priority for them is to ensure the work performed meets all code and safety standards.  Alec examined the circuit box and all the wiring that had been done. He identified multiple problems that needed to be corrected in order to pass final inspection and offered excellent solutions.  He completed connections to two new Ring security cameras, two outdoor ceiling fans, multiple outdoor lights and outlets. More importantly, Alec made sure he was present during the final electric inspection so he could answer any questions the inspector might have. Residential Electric Solutions prices were not the cheapest, but were clearly outlined in the initial quote.  The work was done on time, neatly and professionally and all city inspections were passed.  It was very clear to us that Alec and Suzanne have a lot of experience with installing electric on new additions and we were thankful they helped us out of our nightmare. Prices aren't the cheapest, but they do a great job, are quick, so I think it's reasonable. The first time I worked with David Williams himself - my fridge's outlet kept going out, and then coming back on. David walked through steps to test the outlet, the circuit breaker, the grounding circuit and some other tests before he would come out and charge me. It was a nice touch. Trouble shooting took a few trips out, but he was very easy to reach as we tested. Next they came out to fix some really dangerous wiring in our attic after our roof was replaced. Installation went fine. The last trip out they installed new recessed lighting in our living room and a new chandelier and a two dimmer switches. We bought the chandelier, but they provided the recessed lighting. In all cases, dry wall is repaired to flat surface ready for painting - but they do the painting themselves. Jobs are generally paid for by service, not hours, so you know what it will cost up front - baring any surprises when they open an outlet and find that it's been wired to two circuit breakers by the pervious owner, or your attic fan apparently has 2 sources of electricity ...

Elk Electric, owner Mike Ehrlich, got 5 stars from a host of reviewers, who raved about him. He contacted me immediately, and also got back to me a 2nd time very quickly w/a repair estimate and his hourly rate. We were able to fix the problem ourselves, but I wouldn't hesitate to contact Mike, based on the excellent reviews he got on Service Magic, and also because he was so responsive to me. They're available 24 hrs./day, which is a godsend for working folks like my husband and I as well, and their website says they also speak Spanish.
