Through out the whole relaxing process she was combing the relaxer through my virgin hair to "Stretch it". I got home and realized my hair turned out dry and chopped looking in the back and sides. A week later I noticed my hair was shedding and breaking. She didnt apply the relaxer well, and that's the reason for the shedding and my hair falling out! I had mixed texture causing it to shed ALOT. I did a corrective relaxer at home and it turned out perfect. I give up on NJ stylist, I'm going to my salons in NYC for my cuts. The owner and staff are nice, but it's not enough to have me come back. Her hands didnt go with my hair.

I took my 10 year old to get a wash and blow out. The girl who washed my child's hair was gentle but I had know idea that they would charge an extra $26 for seems like every 20 mins!! She took very long to do my daughter's hair and I am wondering if it was done purposely. I got there at 12:30 pm and left at 3:30pm. I was originally told that it would take 2 hours prior to booking the appt so I am wondering how I got charged 5 times for $26 along with the cost of the wash and blow. I was not even given a heads up by the receptionist until my child's hair was almost finished!!! I end up paying an extra $130 for my child's hair!! And you are tricked because you're not told upfront. So for a 10 year old I paid almost $300. Insane!!! If I knew that's what they do I would have never even booked an appt. I find it crazy that someone would feel good charging $281 for a 10 year old. And to be quite honest my child's hair looked horrible after. No one would ever guess $281 for just paid for her hair. She was very knowledgeable and professional. Overall, my hair came out great and I love it, but when I got home I realized the balayage was only on my crown. None of the underneath layers were colored. I reached out the the salon to ask what I paid for ($377 in total) and they confirmed it was for full balayage. When I asked why there was no color on the under layers I was told they book and price by the hour, so I paid for the full hour of service and not necessarily full coverage balayage. I couldn't help but feel like I was overcharged, but like I said, I like the result. I went in hoping for full balayage, paid for full balayage and I still can't help but wonder what partial balayage would look like (and cost). But the salon did offer to refund their standard $30 for the misunderstanding.

I ended up just buying the Groupon because I had some credit I wanted to use and I was wary due to bad experience I had before when I didn't buy the Groupon. When I got there they took me in fairly quickly. The facial space is quite small and it smelled good, like a fruity fragrance. The woman who did my facial was very nice, she did try to upsell me on a "brightening facial" twice while doing my treatment but I had to decline because I get peels and facials from my dermatologist office that is covered under my insurance. After the treatment they gave me collagen sheet mask. I've gotten a few dermaplane treatments from Groupon on the past, they always coming with cleansing and separate custom facial beforehand but it seems like here they try to upsell you for that. This is probably the worst dermaplane I've ever had. Unfortunately I left with several tiny cuts on face. I know that it could happen accidentally but it was more than 3 separate spots and my whole face is very sensitive now. I am very disappointed and will not be back in the future.

I will grow out my eyebrow hair for months, and come back trusting that someone will do a good job, and they ruin my eyebrows again. They say they just take out the "extra hair." She immediately took me to the back washed my hair, asked if I felt it clean or if there was somewhere I wanted her to scrub more. We talked about her recent trip to Dubai and my trip to Europe. I felt like we knew each other for years. She did my roller set and placed me under the dryer. She also asked an employee to ask me if I wanted coffee I initially said no thank you but she insisted that I just try their coffee. Btw I am so glad I did! It taste like cinnamon! It was delicious! I am NOT kidding! The same lady also kept checking on me making sure the dryer wasn't too hot. As soon as I was dry another employee started taking off my rollers! I loved the teamwork! I honestly felt the good energy! She did a good job in my hair. Jessie and her team were extremely attentive! This was great customer service!
