We reached out to State…read moreFarm as a respectable insurance firm and had received a solicitation in the mail from Chris Fritts. Initially Chris Fritts came back with an approval and a rate that was lower than our current policy, so we accepted and we cancelled our existing policy. A few days later came the OOPS, "Sorry, we can't write that kind of policy or some other lame easily avoidable reason". We had to scramble to get our prior policy back in place, had to pay penalties for reinstatement and a fee to our property manager for handling the reinstatement. And here is the kicker... Chris Fritts and State Farm continue to bill us for the policy they denied. Going on our 3rd month of bills yet they can't seem to find out why and want us to produce the top sheet of the policy that they never actually wrote even though we can show them the billing statements. BUYER BEWARE. AND - they have done another naughty... bait and switch on our new auto policy. How can an auto insurance company make a quote and write a policy without looking at your driving record? We accept their policy, take a digital safe driving course in order reduce the rate. We give them the completion certificat and expect to lock in the discount, but without notice they raise the rates 2 months in a row and not by a little bit. We are both over 60 with paid for cars. We reach out and they say because of a speeding ticket 2 years before. HUH. We can't understand how they don't pull driving records during underwriting and the quote process unless they are trying to lure drivers in with low rates and hoping they don't notice when the rate goes up without notice or option to remedy. I guess we will be letting the Insurance Commission decide.

Jack Lenenberg is fantastic and I highly recommend his Long Term Care (LTC) services and expertise…read more I did a lot of research on LTC policies and options, including from my trusted source of insurance USAA (which I have for all of my other insurance, as I'm a former Army officer) and it was quite a morass of options and complex offerings. During the research process, I kept coming across Jack, with lots of informative articles online, podcasts, videos, etc. He was absolutely prolific and every one of the interviews and articles helped me to understand a little more of the LTC landscape. I'm not usually one for brokers...I like to go straight to the source...but I eventually realized that I needed to check out the source of all this great information that had been put out there for free. I contacted Jack and that was all it took. He's unbelievably knowledgeable, kind and understanding, takes as much time as you need to get to know your situation and recommend what's best from the various offerings on the market. I applied for LTC with Jack's help, but got turned down by the LTC company the first time. I was bummed, and Jack said that there were other companies/policies that might take me, but he advised against it because they were more expensive for coverage that wasn't as good. Instead he said to wait the required 18 months and apply again, advising me on a couple of things to do that would make it less likely that I'd be turned down again. So a broker, Jack, who could have steered me toward a policy that wasn't as good for me and gotten compensated for his time immediately, instead told me to wait, gave me great pointers, patiently waited with me, that was it: it was all about helping me, not worried about selling me something as quickly as possible. No sales calls in the meantime, not bugging me or anything, just available to help if I needed anything. A few months short of the 18 required, I thought I was ready and contacted Jack just to catch him up on my progress and ask if there was anything else I could do. He said he'd see if he could get me another chance to apply early, before the required wait time, and sure enough he was able to do that through a company contact that he had. I'm happy to say that I was accepted this time and now have my LTC policy, and a great policy it is. Having looked at many others on my own, this one is truly the best, and it was Jack that made not only made it all possible, but encouraged me to continue trying when I wasn't immediately accepted, and made the entire process as easy as possible. During the whole process, he also had multiple meetings with my wife and I while we both asked lots of questions, patiently explaining everything, for as long as we needed. I truly can't say enough great things about Jack. If you're considering Long Term Care, don't hesitate to check him out. Even if you don't end up going with him (although I don't now why anyone wouldn't), you'll learn a lot, and there is zero pressure from him in anyway. He's truly expert and helpful, and I'll be thanking him for the rest of my years for putting my mind, and that of my wife's, at ease, with this LTC policy protecting us if I need that kind of care in the future.

The problem was she only wanted to show me one option. Her option did not seem very good for me. Through my research I came across Jack's blog which has been SO HELPFUL in answering my own questions and helping me to best understand my choices. I was so overwhelmed with all of the policies, the options, how much coverage I needed. Growing old is hard to think about and I just do not want to burden my children with these issues. After reading Jack's blog I submitted an online request for quotes through his website. Jack responded with a phone call and we spoke for a few minutes after which he prepared initial information for me that I reviewed. I ended up having A LOT of questions. I emailed Jack, I called Jack...for a few weeks with (maybe too many) questions. God bless him he patiently answered every one of my questions. If I asked for a new quote, he sent it out to me right away. Finally, I said "What's the next step?" Jack said "Well Dolores, let's get you approved for your policy." The application process was very easy. I completed a telephone interview with a nurse. My policy arrived last week. It feels so good to now have this off of my plate. I do not trust and will not use Larry Kircher's agency any longer…read more I moved my business to State Farm from Allstate, because after I'd been hit by a State Farm policy holder, State Farm took better care of me than my own insurance company. Parts warranties, service, and the entire experience was better dealing with State Farm. Now that we are with State Farm, my daughter was hit by a driver carrying insurance apparently from a foreign country. She called Larry Kirchner, and was summarily kicked to the curb. All that Larry's office had to do was to give her the claims number, but instead they told it "it is easier" to deal with the other party's insurance. My daughter was left to attempt to navigate through the trying process of having her car repaired with a foreign insurer for whom English is a second language. Do they have the same quality of repair shops? Do they warranty the parts and the work the way State Farm does? I don't know, and Mr. Kirchner didn't either. It wasn't his concern. When I called Mr. Kirchner to take issue with the shoddy treatment my daughter received, he doubled down on his comments. "You'll have to be out of pocket for your deductible," he said, "and if the other insurer denies responsibility, you won't get your $500 back." How dumb! I asked Mr. Kirchner what made him think that if this foreign insurance company won't pay State Farm and their teams of experts and lawyers, what makes him think they'll pay me? He didn't have an answer. It would have been so easy to simply refer my daughter to the claims department. We trusted this agency enough to write them a check each month, and when we needed their advocacy, their assistance, and their expertise, they summarily dismissed my daughter without any regard for her difficulty, because it was easier for them. If I hadn't been there to help her and direct her to the appropriate people, she'd have had to struggle through the process of getting her car fixed because her agent couldn't be bothered to help.
