They took the time to explain the differences between State of Maryland and Georgia automobile insurance policies. They also gave us accurate price quotes. Several months later, I realized that we had not received our permanent auto insurance cards and our temporary auto insurance cards had expired. I called the State Farm 24 hour call center. They explained to me that our automobile insurance was expiring within a week. At that point, we had not received a billing notice or a phone call from Trevor's office. We were able to renew the auto policy on phone and we were emailed new insurance cards. While we were able to resolve our insurance problem, my belief is that an insurance office should regularly communicate with its customers whenever insurance policies are near the expiration date.

We reached out to State…read moreFarm as a respectable insurance firm and had received a solicitation in the mail from Chris Fritts. Initially Chris Fritts came back with an approval and a rate that was lower than our current policy, so we accepted and we cancelled our existing policy. A few days later came the OOPS, "Sorry, we can't write that kind of policy or some other lame easily avoidable reason". We had to scramble to get our prior policy back in place, had to pay penalties for reinstatement and a fee to our property manager for handling the reinstatement. And here is the kicker... Chris Fritts and State Farm continue to bill us for the policy they denied. Going on our 3rd month of bills yet they can't seem to find out why and want us to produce the top sheet of the policy that they never actually wrote even though we can show them the billing statements. BUYER BEWARE. AND - they have done another naughty... bait and switch on our new auto policy. How can an auto insurance company make a quote and write a policy without looking at your driving record? We accept their policy, take a digital safe driving course in order reduce the rate. We give them the completion certificat and expect to lock in the discount, but without notice they raise the rates 2 months in a row and not by a little bit. We are both over 60 with paid for cars. We reach out and they say because of a speeding ticket 2 years before. HUH. We can't understand how they don't pull driving records during underwriting and the quote process unless they are trying to lure drivers in with low rates and hoping they don't notice when the rate goes up without notice or option to remedy. I guess we will be letting the Insurance Commission decide.

I do not trust and will not use Larry Kircher's agency any longer…read more I moved my business to State Farm from Allstate, because after I'd been hit by a State Farm policy holder, State Farm took better care of me than my own insurance company. Parts warranties, service, and the entire experience was better dealing with State Farm. Now that we are with State Farm, my daughter was hit by a driver carrying insurance apparently from a foreign country. She called Larry Kirchner, and was summarily kicked to the curb. All that Larry's office had to do was to give her the claims number, but instead they told it "it is easier" to deal with the other party's insurance. My daughter was left to attempt to navigate through the trying process of having her car repaired with a foreign insurer for whom English is a second language. Do they have the same quality of repair shops? Do they warranty the parts and the work the way State Farm does? I don't know, and Mr. Kirchner didn't either. It wasn't his concern. When I called Mr. Kirchner to take issue with the shoddy treatment my daughter received, he doubled down on his comments. "You'll have to be out of pocket for your deductible," he said, "and if the other insurer denies responsibility, you won't get your $500 back." How dumb! I asked Mr. Kirchner what made him think that if this foreign insurance company won't pay State Farm and their teams of experts and lawyers, what makes him think they'll pay me? He didn't have an answer. It would have been so easy to simply refer my daughter to the claims department. We trusted this agency enough to write them a check each month, and when we needed their advocacy, their assistance, and their expertise, they summarily dismissed my daughter without any regard for her difficulty, because it was easier for them. If I hadn't been there to help her and direct her to the appropriate people, she'd have had to struggle through the process of getting her car fixed because her agent couldn't be bothered to help.
