Yes! Such a fun spot! It's like falling down a rabbit hole of creativity! I found lots of fairly priced items to use in my art.

She even chilled our wine, provided cups and allowed an additional member of our party to create a project at the last minute even though she never registered beforehand. If you're looking for a girls night activity, bday celebration, cute date night, or just something different than movies or bowling, THIS is your place! The inside is beautifully decorated and any craft you make is like Pier 1/Home Goods level nice. So the added bonus of having a great time is that you leave with a gorgeous piece to show off. Make sure you get a punch card on your way out for their loyalty program so you can eventually get a free workshop.

The staff were attentive and friendly, walking around to each table to check on each person and guide them along the process. The work areas were large and it was nice sound with others to guide and help each other also. There really wasn't an overall explanation on how to do the monogram on the box so we struggled with this until a staff member came by and guided us on the process but by then all but 1 monogram was on a box. Wish there would have been just a bit more overall instructions on this is how we put on and take off the monogram. Overall the experience was lovely and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Great place to have a party or come take part in a workshop.

Seriously, it…read morewas a lot of fun and to think I was feeling anxious especially after my grand entrance as I tripped in through the doors a little late to boot. Of course, the artist attendant was super accommodating, thankfully, my area was already setup. The artist attendant helped me into my apron and I received one drinking ticket which of course, a Mimosa is perfect on a Saturday afternoon. The artist attendant help me catch up, you select your paint colors and dab them on a plate used as your palette. Our art teacher took her time and both made sure to walk the room to provide extra help or tips. It's really cool you can "bump up" or customize your piece of wood art too. They're so helpful and friendly which helps cut the edge for anyone that may feel overwhelmed. Halfway through we get an artist break to replenish our liquids, snack or just to mingle around with your group or meet new people. I was surprised how nice and supportive people you never met before are, perhaps, it's the atmosphere. While you paint, they play some cool tunes and with drink in hand.. well, it's hard not to loosen up and your creative side seeps out onto the wood or canvas. In my case, we selected the class painting "Welcome Home" wreath on wood. It was great to see how each art turned out. For me, I changed "Welcome Home" to "Happy Campers" with a small drawing of our truck & trailer. This is more fitting since the Hubs and I are Happy Campers after all :) The art attendant & teacher were super encouraging and I received many compliments from my fellow class members. In the class, I met many other people either part of a group of friends, mom & daughter, grandma and grandchild, or just individuals by themselves... well, it was a pretty fun class and Budget friendly too. This art studio offered a "BOGO" special and my cost was $22~ (I was 1 of 6). At the end of our 2hr~ class, we took fun-silly pictures and of course, the class picture. The art attendant was nice enough to take a picture of our group however, they do a great job capturing photos of you while working as well and later check out their Facebook page to see your class photos! Definitely a 5 star first time experience for me.

It's sort of like the goodwill and used book store equivalent of crafting supplies... and at really dirt cheap prices. You can't come in with any expectation of what you're going to find. Overall they carry supplies for most crafting hobbies - yarn, fabric, stamps, paper, misc gadgets, cross stitch kits... I grabbed a chunk of denim fabric for $3 that I haven't even unrolled to look at (it's just handy to always have extra for mockups), and I was super tempted with what appeared to be salvage sari trim, but many things are folded and put into plastic bags or on some sort of cardstock and it's very difficult to gauge yardage of anything. Everything is very clearly marked with a dirt cheap price tag (and some things at the front door having an additional buy one get one half off type promo). The cashier was super nice and didn't rush out even though I finally walked out a couple minutes after closing. I have no idea what their trade in system is like but I would definitely consider dumping some of my excess materials here the next time I whittle my hoard down!

I am also pretty klutzy in general, so the idea of making anything using sharp objects vaguely terrifies me. That being said, the Florida School of Woodwork in Tampa is outstanding. A valuable resource for fledgling newbies (like myself) and for those who are more advanced. I signed up for the cutting board course with my mother. Apart from both leaving with all our fingers and toes present and accounted for, we learned a lot and had fun too. Our instructor walked us through the entire process, and allowed us to flex our creative muscles (within the scope of the intended project). We glued, sanded, cut, and other far more technical terms I cannot pretend to recall. Even better, we left with two beautiful and functional cutting boards (complete with my own pyrography pen design) and a lot of great memories. Book in advance for an afternoon, or even a weekend workshop, their classes are outstanding. Very well organized, and safe too. It is also a delight to work alongside instructors who are not only knowledgeable but truly passionate about their craft.
