I really liked the way she captured the love between the couples in her photos and I wanted my photos to be just as good. I was obsessed with the engagement photos; I figured I would want more of them around the house than me in a white dress. I picked a couple of our favorite places that had sentimental value for us as a couple and then I coordinated outfits to go with those places. Then I went on pinterest and viewed several engagement photos to get an idea of poses. I made a inspiration board for each place with outfits and poses and sent it Mollie in advance. This worked out really well. Mollie knew in advance what I was looking for and was able to add a number of additional poses at each place. In addition, she took us to some places that she knew about that would go with our theme. It took about 1-2 months after the shoot to get our pictures. For the wedding, we did the same thing. My groom and I put together an inspiration board of photos we wanted to take with our bridesmaids/groomsmen. My husband took advantage of this and went to several locations around the wedding site and got some really good photos (Mollie's husband took these photos). I was exhausted and choose to stay in my suite with my bridesmaids, but we still used a number of the poses from my inspiration board and got some really good photos as a result. I didn't put as much effort into the wedding photos and since Mollie knew this wasn't a priority for me, there were only a handful of pictures of just me and my groom. There were still good pictures, but only a handful to choose from. Mollie and her husband stayed for the reception and got all the traditional photos, but by this time, I didn't care anymore and it showed in the photos. It took 2-3 months to get the wedding photos back. There were over 1500 photos from the wedding day and we got about 600 to choose from. It was a little overwhelming. All in all, I had a great experience working with Mollie and her husband and would recommend them to anyone considering them for their wedding. However, remember that you are an active participant in the photo process; the more effort you put into your pictures, the more you will get out the experience. I recommend researching what you want in advance and letting your photographer know what your priorities are. We referenced the poses from the inspiration boards several times at each shoot and my favorite photo is from one of those poses that I never would have been able to come up with on the spot.

When looking for vendors I felt many had a moody, darker style and that was the opposite of what we were wanting. I was so relieved when we found Ashley. We knew she was the first vendor we wanted to secure! We are so impressed with the difference that film photography makes in the coloring, quality and feel of our images. It's become clear after seeing them printed out and hung on our wall. Our pictures are truly unlike any wedding photos I've seen. Obviously I'm biased but every time I look at our album I catch myself smiling without even knowing it. There are countless things throughout our engagement and wedding day that blew me away about Ashley's talent and service. We live in Kansas City but our wedding took place in my hometown of Wichita. Ashley went out of her way to accommodate us! She cleared a Friday evening for our engagement photo session so that we could make a weekend out of it and visit family rather than making it a there-and-back trip. We also had 0 ideas of where to take engagement and wedding day pictures and she completely solved that for us! When we got to the church the day of the wedding she showed me a picture of the altar to make sure the decorations and flowers were set up to my expectations. Leading up to the wedding and the day-of I had countless non-photography related questions that she answered with ease and eagerness. Such as, "Uhh what should I do with my engagement ring before the ceremony." She always had an answer for everything and made me feel at ease. Ashley was an incredible help during the planning process. Her checklists, event timeline, shot list, attention to detail and learning about what we wanted, etc. were beyond appreciated as I had enough to worry about. The recommendations for engagement session outfits, wedding day reminders and planning chats took the edge off of my nervousness. Ashley even worked directly with my florist to get flower pieces the night before my wedding so she would have them for my detail shots. Truly, everything she could take care of, she did so without missing a beat! My favorite part about working with her is she placed joy into every step of the planning and day-of experience and I'm beyond grateful she was a part of our vendor team!

After meeting Ashley I knew instantly that she would be the perfect fit for us! She is the sweetest person, who truly makes you feel so comfortable and prepared right from the get go! The keepsakes you receive are absolutely STUNNING and completely different than what any other photographer has to offer, especially the wedding album that is SO elegant and unique! You also get to help design everything! All of her keepsakes will forever be displayed in my house, and are of the upmost quality! I had a very short and fast wedding day, and was constantly worried that we wouldn't be able to get everything done in our allotted time at our venue.
