This was our first visit and they were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I don't know much about sewing and my 8 year old daughter has done a handful of classes. We were gifted an older machine that I wasn't sure was in working order. They so kindly inspected it and taught me about oiling since it's an older machine. I was able to pick up the supplies I needed to maintain it there as well! Really appreciated the time they took to show my daughter how to thread it as well. Will for sure be back! They also have folks on site that offer sewing classes, so we may check that out in the future as well. read more

I've purchased two machines here and love the selection available. Their service is top notch! I've benefited from the free lessons and have learned so much. I had an issue with my new sewing machine not making a stitch and Kay was able to determine the issue and get it corrected for me! She gave me some sewing pointers as well as on replacing the needle and how to make sure it was installed correctly! read more

I've been buying sewing machines, embroidery machines high end , cutting machines , sergers , lots of hoops and miscellaneous from this company for over 15 years at least . And although I've had some issues they have always been resolved in the end . My last purchase was something expensive that I needed to return even though I shouldn't have been able to, which I didn't realize. They allowed me to return it understanding my situation. So I really have to give both Roseville and spring lake park 5 stars. I still purchase from them even though I live in Virginia. read more

My wife took her Huskvarna Viking here for minor repair and tune-up. They said no guarantee on any repairs ... and they send it out somewhere where the actual repairs are effected. This should have raised some flags for us, but "too soon old, too late smart." $175 and two weeks later when she got it home, it had more problems than when she took it in, including (apparently) them changing the bobbin winder for a different one that DIDN'T FIT THE BOBBINS ANYMORE. Besides that, the bobbin winder didn't work right, the feed was misbehaving and the needle would randomly fall off. After some research we should have done in the first place, we took it to Gratz Sewing where there is an actual repair person and they guarantee their repairs for 120 days. It only took five days and $75. The plurally-named "Creative Sewing Centers" may be okay for non-sewing-machine-repair stuff, but I assume they'll just take your money and break your stuff like they did with our repair. read more

I used to give this store in Spring Lake Park five stars, but unless you are buying a new high end sewing machine, prepare to be ignored. I brought in a dead machine to find out whether it will ever work and they warned me that it will cost at least $100. It's taken so long to get a machine back that I've had to go to the repair shop to pick it up. One of the staff (a supervisor?) is so rude I walk out if she is working that day. The others on the team want to be helpful but she interrupts your questions or mini lesson. I've bought three sewing machines from them, but I will hesitate to buy from this shop if I ever need to buy a machine again. Their promise that you can come in for help or a quick lesson review is honored by all except the crabby person. And heaven forbid that you come in for a needle a few minutes before they close! You will be warned about closing time before you are completely in the door. I've never seen a Store close so fast! I am really disappointed that their attitudes have changed so much. It must not be a happy place to work. read more

I have been going to Creative Sewing for years, have purchased multiple machines, and taken many classes. I've had excellent one on one time with each new machine to learn how to use the new features. I've recommended this store to friends and family and all have been satisfied with their purchases and yearly maintenance they've received. I'll continue to frequent Creative Sewing in Spring Lake Park... excellent machines, and awesome staff! read more
