Last week the LG fridge I purchased stopped cooling. I called a repair service to have it repaired. Repair service "fixed" my fridge - but in the end I was out some cash and still had a fridge that wasn't working. I called PJ in an effort to find another service tech to look at the fridge. Instead PJ said to come in and he would help make it right with a good deal on a different fridge. Purchased a new fridge this AM. PJ worked with me and i bought another fridge at a great price. It is refreshing to find a company that will stand behind what they sell. He owed me nothing as I knew that I purchased scratch and dent appliances and any warranty that might have existed had long expired. Great experience buying there - highly recommend!!

It has been a few months and I am still very upset every time I open our fridge. Fuming actually…read more We needed service on our fridge and Whirlpool sent this company. The repair wasn't under warranty. While they have a system in place to keep you notified of your position in line for repair, that didn't work for us. We never saw the line number advance as our scheduled technician apparently showed up several hours late to start work. I called the company in the afternoon and they assured us they would still come out that day. There were still 5 or 6 people in line ahead of us in the late afternoon. We then received a call at dinner time saying the tech was on the way. The tech that showed up complained that the other guy came in late and now he had to work late. He started pulling apart the fridge including shelves and drawers. I had laid out some pads but he just set items everywhere and was not gentle with them. The tech completes the repair and starts putting the fridge back together. I notice a 1-2" piece of white plastic on the floor and comment about it. The tech said the fridge is fine and then wouldn't double check when I asked him to find where the piece broke off from. He left and wasn't happy. It was over a week before we were confident it was finally fixed and then we filled the fridge back up. We immediately noticed that the produce drawer doesn't slide in and out properly anymore.Very upset. The piece had either chipped off from the drawer or the track. So now I think of them every time I open the fridge and not happy thoughts.

Since I had medications that needed refrigeration I bought a small dorm fridge. That soon proved inadequate so I started shopping around for a used counter-depth fridge. Again, somewhat rare like the replacement. Was nice to find these folks on Craigslist and happy to report they delivered what I needed. The delivery people were nice and respectful and handled the stairs and drop-off professionally. The fridge works perfectly so far and I am happy with this transaction.

I baught a refurb washer and dryer 3 weeks ago signed a contract stating I'd not be able to refund my purchase which should have been my first red flag. Paid for delivery and waited for my unit to show up. Delivery went fine except for the delivery team taking an old drain hose I needed for my washer. I knew this was an honest mistake but when I called to get my hose back they said they'd call their manager and then call me back. They never called back... I called multiple times trying to get this hose back and finally resorted to "asking for a manager." To my surprise A1 appliance explained to me that they "don't really have a manager" this was the second red flag. I did get referred to the delivery manager (I guess they have managers now) Alfredo who drove in to the store to confirm that the hose was on the delivery truck. I requested this hose be returned to me since I paid for delivery service but he refused. He said I could "pick it up at the store." I'm expected to drive in using my gas after paying for a delivery service that made a mistake. No one offered to comp my gas or time and so I again requested to speak to a manager. Instead they have Lisa who's not a manager but her role is to "handle complaints" I imagine they get a lot. She never called me back but I did finally track her down after calling and explaining the situation at least 5 times. Meanwhile i set up my refurbished washer only to discover that it doesn't work plus it smells bad but that's besides the point. Lisa was apologetic claiming she would send someone out to drop off the hose which a kind man named Greg did that day. She also connected me to the service department that sent out a technician. She had spotty communication but things appeared to move forward. He worked on the washer machine and told me to reach out if there were any more problems. I tried the washer machine the next day and it still didn't work. I called back in and left a message with Lisa. She again never called me. I called her days later she answered said that they would exchange this unit for something else but they wouldn't do a return for me. I just want to be done at this point so I agree but explain that based on the lack of quality communication, service, and management I didn't want to risk purchasing another used machine from them. She said I could get an unused machine but I'd have to pay more. I asked that after 2 weeks of back and forth and multiple disappointment is there any way they'd be willing to exchange this unit for a new one which based on the "sale" was a $300 difference. The sales department explained the only person who could authorize a discount was Lisa. She said she'd take $50 off the price and I now need to pay $250 more and hope that there aren't any more issues. I know no one really believes "the customer is always right" but at this point you do what you can to make a customer happy even if you loose $250. I don't trust their ability to repair anything or follow through so i feel stuck. I just want the nightmare to be over. Ive been unable to do laundry for 3 weeks playing phone tag spending close to $1000 and the "discount" just isn't worth it. I waited to post this hoping for someone to actually try to make this right but now I need to tell the story. Don't waste your time! If you have a little issue YOU have to fix it. If you have a big issue... good luck. Most importantly... no refunds.

Called a couple of companies. One didn't serve Mpls, several said the didn't service LG. Rogness sent Kevin out who diagnosed the problem, found another issue and fixed everything with parts from his truck. Great service!
