I am disgusted by their lies and awful things I have heard over the course of my studies. From dismissing hearing and mental conditions as an excuse to the administration staff telling teachers that they have to reach a certain pass rate by either failing students that deserve to go on or passing students that should have failed. I have witnessed clinical instructors teaching students while poking the patient with the same needle more than once which is a huge health violation. They prefer students not with healthcare backgrounds so they don't get called out for their lack of proper education. They promise resources and help to students that need assistance but to the students that reach out, are scolded instead for even working once or twice a week and dismiss their requests for assistance. Their remediation for failing a test is talking to students that are a class ahead of you to tutor you for an hour without bringing up the test or similar questions so all that's left for them to say is to read the book with outdated information that contradicts what we learn online or in person. They leave it up to the students to decide which source to trust which leads to constant mistakes that are never learned. I admit my flaws as a student. I have lived with hearing aids and when they were broken I got no assistance from the school. I will admit I scored 73% and 74% in med surg and pharm (passing grade is 75%). I take accountability for my own actions but my mistake was assuming the school would be responsible enough to do the same. After all their smiles and fronts they put up. Once you are admitted and you're financially tied to them, they don't care about you anymore so unless you have 100k to spare for nursing and no responsibilities as an adult to teach yourself. Avoid this school at all costs.

I called and was transferred to student affairs for more information in regards to their hybrid program. I was on hold for 4 long minutes so they can transfer me back to admissions. So I hung up. I got a call back from a guy who states I. Going to run down the bullet points for you , then you tell me if you have questions. So he's telling me about the Wonderlic, the Days , the Essay and the Program. I asked for more literature sent to my email to compare other schools. He said he didn't have any ,but ran down what I needed to submit to move forward. So I asked him to confirm what he said over the phone to be clear And this was his response. What I did was Opt out because I had gotten 2 messages back to back never blocked him, if this was the case he wouldn't have been able to get through over the phone. His response "like I said " don't sit right . This isn't effective Communication but passive communication and for this I become hesitant to go to him directly. And choose completely another school. FIrst they had me to take general course for MSN and then get me into the FNP. Then, I asked for clincial sites and they didn't really suport. This LAC program is a RARE find and I've highly recommended this program to many people. Please do not get discouraged about applying to this school, we may lack some amenities, but I wanted to set the record straight because false information is not information. 1. We have a student counselor. They are introduced to you at NEW Student Orientation 2. If you need ADA accommodations, please see the office of education for additional information. 3. We have multiple computer rooms and study rooms for students to sign up for. If you need help looking for one, please visit the library or ask the front office for assistance. 4. There are 2 metro lines- 78 and 605. Infront and across the street from the school 5. In terms of safety- this is a CLOSED campus with badge access. Students can park at a free and guarded parking lot structure across the street from campus with badge access. 6. The real world average nurse-to-patient ratio is generally recommended to be one nurse for every four patients but can depend on departments; school is weaning you into real world practice. 7. You can log the documents that you turn in at the front office in a log, if that gives you peace of mind about what youv'e turned in. Please note if office is requesting the same documents various times throughout the year, other internal department within LA county are asking for it so they can provide students with clearance to attend to patients. 8. Lost and found is in front office. 9. This is a full-time course and can be tough; you can do difficult things. Believe in yourself. 10. For anything you sign we retain it in the student or class file- feel free to ask for a copy or come into the office to see it. As an Angelino, I'm hopeful for the future students coming out of this program. I know that with OPEN communication we can improve this program for current and future students. When we look back at the places we've been, I want us all be able to say we left it a little better. I will share comment from user Bella L. to the correct departments in hopes we can change some things. Your confidence with direct patient care will be achieved through experience.
