I think there was a time when Creative Tours by Pat did good work as an active travel agent, but I think that time has past. My latest experience with them indicated that if you want to travel but don't have access to the internet, they can book things for you - but don't expect service beyond that. We had issues with a trip they booked for us that led to it being cancelled. I emailed respectfully expressing my frustrations. It's been over a month and they have never responded to the email. I know they got it - they talked to the other member of my party to confirm the cancellation. But could not even show the respect to acknowledge the correspondence. You'd do better using Expedia and Travelocity for free than calling Creative Tours by Pat. read more

I was hesitant to call this agency based on reviews, but a friend recommended a particular agent at Creative Tours so I gave it a shot. Pat answered and I was not able to speak with the requested agent because "she was on the phone", Blown away by how rude Pat was. She didn't offer to have the requested agent call me. I was looking for help with hotels and air travel for an upcoming cruise. We travel often, but recently moved to this area and flight availability is limited. We thought a local agent would know the best options.. Pat told me they don't do that, she was only interested in helping if we transferred our cruise reservation to her. She didn't ask where we were going. When I asked about her experience, she talked about all the cruises she's taken and referred to me as "honey" (I'm 62 years old, lived in the south all my life , and while I'm not typically offended by this term, for some reason her tone was horribly condescending). So turned off by Pat, I thanked her and she just hung up with no comment. She didn't appear to have any customer service skills at all. I know I can google or use travel consultants with my credit card companies to get the support I'm looking for, but I really wanted to give my business to a small local company. I personally have used Jerri to book my travel for years now, even before she was working here. She has always gone above and beyond for all of her clients. I even recall a time where she stayed 2 hours past close to help me change my plans last minute. She not only was helping me, but doing a million other things at the same time. I can't speak about anyone else in the office, but Jerri is as good a travel agent as you can get. read more

My initial interaction, when scheduling travel with them, the agency was extremely responsive. When the need arose for us to cancel our plans, the agency now won't return emails or phone calls. They have not refunded our deposit as promised a month and a half ago. I'm hoping through this forum they will process the refund and return my email regarding said refund. read more

I have taken about 12 cruises - the travel agent that booked this one doesn't even deserve 1 star. They were horrible and very unprofessional. There are a couple of ladies that work in the office - The main one, Jeri booked return trips for when we were not even off the ship yet, had hidden fees that we found because of the way they had to charge the credit card, she lied on several occasions, and just made the whole excitement of getting a trip on the calendar a nightmare. There was 6 of us in our group (Mom, dad, sister and her husband and the two of us) and we were all miserable. We tried to go through Royal Caribbean directly but because we booked with the agency they could not assist us. The owner Pat was actually on our cruise (that is her job I guess) and totally ignored us the whole time we were on there (there was another whole group that told us of their horror stories as well so it wasn't just us). She knew we were not happy as we had some conversations with her (when we finally caught her in the office) and she did nothing but stuck up for her employees. My sister actually booked us with this agency because they were close to where she lived. She went there several times - one time they were just returning with some lunch and told her to come back in an hour as they were going to eat. Great customer service! I can't say loud enough here - but don't walk away from this travel agency - RUN! There are too many good ones out there. Like I said, I have been on many cruises before - we will go back to GO TRAVEL and use them for our future needs. read more

There are to many good, professional travel agencies to deal with this office. Lack of and poor communications was the biggest issue for me. Poor customer service was another. The agency sent out a letter regarding a pre-cruise excursion and hotel...the hotel, from what I remember, was $200 per person per night. Our group thought that was excessive for a place to sleep as we were going to be on tours during the day. We asked the travel agency for an alternative which they would not provide. Their recommendation was for US to find a hotel and let them book it, which we did. Guess what......without informing us of the change, the entire group (about 16 people besides our group) ended up at the hotel WE booked. Also, if you use this agency question everything and double check what you are charged. I had to go in person to pay, ensuring I received a receipt. I was still over charged but did get a refund, eventually. Often I picked up receipts for others in the group because they never received it via mail or electronically. When I went to the office, on occasion no one was there...when in, the 2 employees run around barefoot and one uses the floor as her "outbox".....which may explain why nothing was received via mail. When we questioned the lack of e-mails....all we received were excuses. No thanks to this agency, our cruise was GREAT! We chose our own hotels and transportation pre and post cruise...the hotels and private transportation were great and at a better price than what the agency offered. read more
