So I received an "unknown call " today from Garrett Insurance Agency as a result of my review. The…read morewoman working there stated that she was hoping that my voicemail would pick up as she did not want to talk to me. There was what should have been awkward silence for her, for a moment. Anyhow, she questioned my review and told me that she contacted Yelp to report my review. My guess is because she now claims that after having my credit card on file, as they have charged it in the past, she is saying that it's not on file. Apparently, although she told me that she was going charge me, per this conversation she now claims to not have my credit card information on file. I'm baffled as to how she would have made that transaction, albeit without my go ahead. But whatever. She followed up with the most sarcastic canned response saying "Well thank you so much for your business and HAVE A NICE DAY!" The take away from all of this is that they have virtually nonexistent customer service. They harass you when you make a valid review via "unknown caller ". The irony is that she reached out so much quicker to respond to my review then she EVER has for insurance related concerns. Garrett, Some advice.... Be this proactive with existing customers as you are with disputing with them over their reviews. Good luck! Update- She mentions getting back to customers the next day which was never the case but at least she apologized.

Our previous insurance company wasn't terrible to deal with, but I heard less than great things about their coverage and wanted to check my options for both homeowners and auto policy. I first read about Hausman Kunkel from a coworker referral and was impressed by the feedback, and when our Realtor suggested him too, I gave his office a call. Calling Mike was easily the best decision regarding insurance I've ever made. After he gave us a quote, I explained to him that my (now) wife and I were in the middle of the most stressful month of our lives-- buying a house, getting married, going on a trip around the world and moving-- and how I might be a bit difficult to hunt down at times. He took it right in stride-- Mike got our hazard insurance lined up, coordinated with our Realtor and title, and got everything we needed in place, all with almost no participation from me. Several weeks later, when we were finally settled in our new house, he gave me very detailed explanations of different coverage options, got our cars on a (much better-- and cheaper-- than our old company) policy, and was totally helpful and easy to deal with. Until we met Mike, insurance was one of those unpleasant necessities-- a monthly bill to a faceless company that always put me on hold when I called an 800 number. Now I can honestly say I don't mind dealing with insurance because I know I'll be talking to Mike, who is honest, fair, responsive and interested in getting things done right for his clients. Do yourself a favor and give him a call.
