We walked in and it was very cozy inside. The staff were friendly and attentive. They were giving out free samples of hot chocolate and a square made of peanut butter, chocolate and candy cane. So yummy! I ordered a Gingerbread Latte and an Italian Trio sandwich. My Mom ordered a Hot Chocolate and a Chicken Pesto sandwich. Everything was tasty and fresh! I loved the flavour of my coffee. Mmm perfect for the Christmas season! There's more seating available upstairs and a few seats downstairs. There are lots of plants and owl decor around the cafe, which contribute to the cozy vibe. I can see myself coming back again in the future with friends for coffee catch ups.

It's not too far from my children's school so I decided to give it a shot when I had about 90 minutes to fill after drop off. I am grateful I made the drive. This bustling cafe is super cozy and the staff were all extremely friendly. The cafe also sells beer and wine. Plus, they have kombucha on tap! I purchased a blueberry peach scone (will definitely be back to try the chocolate salted caramel) and a honey cinnamon matcha latte. The scone was not overly sweet, but still had a great flavour. The matcha was as good as the ones I've gotten downtown Ottawa. It was blended nicely and did not have any matcha chunks...love! It's an interesting place in that it's a non-profit restaurant with proceeds going to various charities in town. Except for the cooks, the staff (a lot of them high school students) are volunteers. They serve tea in teapots with tea cozies and use the real deal China teacups. They serve delicious homemade pies, scones, muffins and various other baked goods. It's a pretty cool place.
