You are right next to a creek which is also nice. My only dislikes is that it is not as private as I would have liked it to be. You are close to the other cabins and right across the creek are homes that can easily see into your cabin.

We stayed at the Fishing Creek cabin that sleeps six and has a small kitchenette with Wi-Fi. This cabin is also Creekside and has chairs with the fire pit set right next to the creek. The cabin was super clean. The beds weren't the greatest, but they weren't terrible either. To fish the creek it's $25 per person per day, but the creek is stocked and we caught plenty of trout. My husband and I would definitely stay here again and are looking forward to coming back. The only negative was that Four Fillies offers add-ons to the reservation such as in cabin massages or cake pops waiting in the cabin upon arrival. We booked for and paid for both of these add-ons provided, but received neither as the massage therapist canceled and the bakery where the cake pops come from was closed the day of our arrival we did however get a refund.

My coworker checked us in and I was walking in as he was coming out, and she gave the extra effort to tell me where I was going. Shout out to Rodger for cleaning my room and leaving a personalized note. Just goes to show the staff actually care about this place. I would definitely recommend this place to any fellow travelers!

The front desk agent said it was no problem and she put still made sure we were close to the rest of the family. (We were having a family reunion) also they placed all our rooms on the same floor. So we had the floor to us as a family. The 2 social areas on the floor were an added plus, great places to hang out as a group. The rooms are very well maintained and clean, the beds are firm with lots of pillows. All thou the sheets and blankets are a little thin. And the noise level is very quiet. Plus, the view from the balconies and the overlook of the New River is breathtaking. 10/10 for me, me and my whole family highly recommend this place for a great stay!

They have a little convenience shop to the left of the desk filled with snacks and, luckily, floaties for the pool. The front desk ladies were polite and friendly! We stayed here twice, in the same room actually. It had 2 queen beds, a pull out couch, mini fridge, desk area, and a decently sized bathroom. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children and we had more than enough room. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, all in refillable pump bottles. The sink also had hand wash and body lotion. The pool area was kept clean and the staff said we could eat in there at the tables if we wanted. It wasn't a huge area, but there were at least 2 tables and several options for seating. The pool only went to 5 feet and had decent stairs for my toddler in the shallow end. There was also a small gym, complete with some dumbbells, an adjustable bench, treadmill, elliptical, and star stepper, plus a yoga mat and exercise ball. There was a small cabinet which held towels, wipes, and a water dispenser/cups. The only bummer was I saw the same dead moth under the elliptical both stays (2 weeks apart), so I know the gym hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast was decent-- it was the same both both times we had it. They have 3 cereal options, some yogurt and oatmeal, fresh fruit (apples, oranges, and bananas), two types of eggs, sausage, bacon, toast (even a GF bread), bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and a pancake maker. There was also coffee and tea. Everything was served until 9:30. There is always water with fresh fruit out. We ate at two nearby restaurants-- Fat Boy's Pizza and Cinco de Mayo Mexican and both were great! There is also a restaurant list inside the lobby. I felt safe staying here and had no issues in the parking lot. There were only a few other guests during both of our stays. This was a good spot to stay during our travels and I will definitely consider coming back!

Church Street Bed and Breakfast absolutely MADE our trip to Lewisburg. Tom and Sheila Cardis, our…read morehosts, are not just warm and welcoming, they make you feel like you are one of a large group of gregarious friends and family. The house is a large, nine bedroom manor from 1904 which is lovingly done in period style. They rent out two rooms, and we stayed in the downstairs Laing Room. It was huge, had a queen bed, a fireplace, and a television. There was a large attached bathroom, all kitted out in full Victoriana, complete with the original clawfoot tub (and a modern, freestanding shower). Sheila has put out all sorts of toiletries in case you forgot something, and there are loads of towels. We came and went as we pleased, Friday to Sunday, sometimes staying to chat and drink wine with the ever evolving group of friends, family, and neighbors stopping by to pass time on the porch or back patio. Tom and Sheila are both genuinely hilarious individuals, and there is plenty of what the Irish call, 'good crack.' I will come back and post a picture when I download them. The house is on a very quiet street about two or three blocks from downtown Lewisburg. The main restaurants and shopping and pubs are a five minute walk past the picturesque Old Stone Presbyterian Church and Carnegie Institute. There is a large garden with a pond and chairs set out on the lawn. Temperatures were lovely and fireflies were out in abundance. I highly recommend taking a little jaunt up to Lewisburg and calling ahead to reserve at Church Street.
