The fitness center at LWRGCC is really quite good. The equipment (wide variety) is all fairly new…read moreand well maintained. The center itself is very clean all the time. They offer combination lockers for daily use. They offer many classes included in membership like pilates, yoga, high intensity workouts, water aerobics, etc. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. I've been a member for a year and a half now, and still trying to find the best time to go, when it isn't so crowded. The personal trainers don't work on weekends, so generally fewer people there on weekends. When the snowbirds are in town, obviously more crowded. I guess my only real complaint is with some of the other members and basic gym etiquette. Some folks simply don't wipe down the equipment after use, and some folks will hang out resting on a machine or looking at their phone for what seems like a long time while others are waiting for that equipment.

Four stars for this tucked away Long Boat Key community…read more Yes, this is an older subdivision, and not the most luxurious set of condos on the Island. It is also true, however, that affordable condos are very hard to find on Long Boat Key. These townhouses are very large and relatively affordable. We didn't play tennis, and we avoided the pool (due to pandemic concerns), so we really can't speak to those amenities. This place does have lush, well kept landscaping, a dock on the inter-coastal, and it's own mini beach on the inter-coastal (during low tide, the beach does disappear during high tide). Each unit is a bit different, so I probably should leave out most those details, but I can say our unit had a nice long garage, 3 bathrooms, and two bedrooms. The Wifi in our unit was excellent. **Note**, these units are not walking distance to the gulf beaches. We would recommend these condos to anyone wanting to hang out on Long Boat Key without breaking the bank.

Anything else is too much of a hassle for her. Avoid her and continue down the hall to someone with less of an attitude. Otherwise, this place overall is pretty average. Tennis? Sure, they have courts and I guess that's nice. But the rental condos are pretty outdated. They also say they are close to the beach. They are not. They are at least a mile to the closest beach access. The also say they have kayaks with every rental. Not the case either. When we checked in and asked about them, they said "yeah, we no longer do that and haven't updated our website". Just about all rentals down here have tennis courts. And many are closer to the beach . Good luck.

Has quickly become my favorite local park. Excellent neighborhood park. Very clean and looks well…read morecared for. Paved walking path throughout park. Both tennis and pickle courts. Large playground for younger kids. Exercise stations throughout park. Plenty of benches and a picnic area. Street parking. Dog friendly. Lots of waterfowl who tend to ignore pooches as long as the pooches ignore them. But don't act like you are going to feed them, you will draw a crowd! LOL The park is very well laid out with lots of natural flora and water. The old growth trees add a feeling of permanence. There is also a memorial garden with several busts of historically important individuals to the area. I love the diversity of the busts but was disappointed to not see any women represented. Either way its a charming spot. Another major plus for me is the noise level, or should I say lack of noise. This is definitely a peaceful park. No music blasting, no yelling (other than the occasional groan from the pickle courts or joyful shriek from the playground). There's even a dedicated dog park right across the street and you don't really even hear much noise from them either. It's very reflective of the neighborhood which seems to be a very peaceful, almost bohemian sort of vibe. My dog Chico and I enjoy our time there!
