I mean, really!?!? I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Creepyworld St. Louis on Saturday, October 7th. My group had timed entry tickets for 8:00 pm. However, upon arriving on time, we were herded into the General Admission queue and waited for over 2 hours just to enter the first house. To make matters worse, there were multiple lines even after this long wait, AND the power went completely off three separate times for prolonged periods of time. The mismanagement, extended wait times, and power outages made our visit a complete nightmare. We eventually decided to leave the event early. read more

My friend and I went to CreepyWorld the monday before Halloween. We bought speed passes and waited in line less than 5 minutes before beginning in our first house. The houses themselves were decorated really well. I was disappointed in the amount of actors in the houses. It really seemed like there were way less than previous years and this took away from the experience. read more

I gave this 5 stars based off my experience back in 2019. My experience this year was still really good, but not nearly as excellent as it was two years ago. They had to remove some features because of the pandemic, and it seems like they were struggling to get enough scare actors, regardless, it was still a fantastic experience. Creepyworld is my favorite haunted house in the St. Louis area. It might not have as much production value or be as scary as The Darkness (they're the same company), but the expansiveness, variety, and indoor/outdoor element make it the haunted house I enjoy most. Its got 13 different haunted houses -- parts of the mazes are indoors and parts are outside -- most years you'll need a jacket (this year it was really hot though). This year's attraction had themes like Crystal Lake, a mansion with creepy dolls, a house decked out in holiday lights just in time for Krampus to arrive, a twisted asylum, and Silo X, a mutant filled area with a evacuation siren going off. If you haven't been to a screampark like this before, here's the setup: you'll typically wait in a line to enter the first house, after a few houses you'll get stopped in another line as they work to spread out groups as you enter the next set of houses. This will happen every few houses, so while there is a small break from the scares all 13 houses are streamlined into one big attraction; in other words, use the facilities (porta potties) before you start. The logistics: There's a small cash fee to pay to park, so carpool when you can. My best guess is that it takes somewhere between 90 minutes and 2 hours to make it through the attraction (not counting the line to get in). Depending on what day/weekend you choose to go, the speed pass might be worth it. After the first few houses there's a short haunted hayride that requires an extra fee; it was fun, but I'm not sure I'd feel like I need to do it again. Buy your ticket online, unless there's a better in-person discount. This year we opted to purchase (online) the Ultimate Scarefest Scream Pass, which came to about $99 (with tax). It included Creepyworld with the haunted hayride, Lemp Haunted House, The Darkness, and speed passes for all three. Of course there's always the question, "is it scary?" Well, yes. But that's hard to answer, because each person's scare tolerance is different. Is it as scary as The Darkness? Probably not. Did my friends scream a lot? Yes. Are there jump scares and super intense moments? Yes. Is the set design creepy? Absolutely. Did my friends and I get trapped between a super lifelike animatronic and scare actor in a narrow hallway, suddenly finding ourselves in a scene from Scooby Doo as we bounced into one another and managed to escape with the monster on our heels? Yes. Yes, we did. My best advice: If you're afraid you'll be too scared, but still want to go, get a group of six and stay in the middle. In front you'll get the people jumping out at you; in the back you'll get followed. If you think it won't be scary at all, go in with the attitude of being entertained instead of scared, and who knows, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. Ultimately, immerse yourself in the experience, allow the adrenaline to flow, and let out a scream. read more

Very enjoyable semi-outdoor haunted house. Great mix of actors, animatronics, sets, and props. We visited as it opened at 7pm on an early October Sunday, and lines were very modest, especially with Speed Passes. Of the three Scarefest facilities (Creepyworld, Darkness, and Lemp), this was the only one to make use of outdoor areas, or to have a hayride - and the outdoor parts were indeed some of the best parts of Creepyworld. While the hayride is fairly short - maybe 10 minutes - it was worth the trip, and had an all-star cast and some great sets. I think Creepyworld's secret weapon is that each section has a coherent theme, and you get a breather outdoors before entering the next one - it makes the ensemble feel much larger than it probably is, and stretches time out by repeatedly changing venues. A lowlight was the Christmas-themed section, which just didn't feel as horrific as the other sections. The actors tried hard, but it felt more goofy than scary. A highlight was the 5-minute escape room, which is best with at least one partner, and which was a nice multi-phase puzzle. You need to pay extra for this, though. A welcome surprise was the Jack O Lantern section at the end - wow, very well done, and so many of them! It seemed huge from the first moment, but then we realized it was maybe just the first 1/4 of the exhibit! We visited all three Scarefest facilities, and if you're up for that (which I recommend), then you should definitely get the Ultimate Scarefest Scream Pass, which includes all admissions, plus Speed Passes, plus admissions for the Hayride and Jack O Lantern at Creepyworld. This is me and my friends second year going and it is amazing but they do need to do a better job on separating groups because sometimes it would become one huge line and then it made it not that scary but when we were separated (which was most of the time) we were terrified this is the best haunted house in all of MO. read more

First of all, the lines are absolutely RIDICULOUS... even after paying $110 for a speed pass, we still had to wait in line. Then, there are no portable restrooms ANYWHERE, except the front of the haunted house. So you stand there and wait in line for over 2 hours for the haunted house and you can't pee. It's honestly torture. Also, since they are so packed, you're filed in line (one by one) like sardines and don't even get scared because you see what's happening to the person in front of you that's not even in your group. So after I bought my ticket I got in line I got a speed pass and I thought my brother got the same ticket but apparently not when it got time to start walking through the group of girls in front of me let me join them because I was by myself and then they went to do the hayride I didn't so I continued through by myself and most of the workers weren't scaring me they kept asking me if I was ok because of all the fog I would just have my hoodie over my face so I could actually breathe. read more

Very rude employee. I spent $60 for my son & I to have a fun night out. $25 a ticket for entrance, $5 extra a person for the haunted hayride. As we entered the haunted hayride line, I pulled out my wallet to give the employee our tickets. The employee saw my law enforcement badge in my wallet, and I'm guessing he thought I was trying to get on the hayride for free. He began saying "What are you doing, trying to flash your badge? You think that's going to impress me? I was a cop for 25 years?" I then removed my already paid for tickets from my wallet and handed them to the guy. I explained to him I wasn't trying to get by on anything and I had already purchased the tickets. This made the situation very uncomfortable and my son could barely enjoy the rest of the evening because he was so upset about how this guy spoke to me. Again I paid $60 for a nice night out and this guy was very rude and ruined the evening for my son and I. read more

My husband and I went to creepyworld 10/19/2019. A prop in the Haunted Hayride smoked me in the head. It was a mechanical wolf head that comes over the hayride. It's set too low and when we passed by it smacked me in the side of my head. I had a headache for the rest of the haunted house. Additionally, the 3D clown house didn't have the 3D glasses which made the attraction completely pointless. Also, the line management was poor. There were instances where we were stuck in hallways for 5-10 minutes at a time without moving. Barely any actors as well on a Saturday night. read more

I had debated for a while to write a review... but I decided too anyway .. I came to creepy world on 11/3/2019 and would like to give a High Five to the Parking lot crew at creepyworld. My husband would also like to give all the actors a high five as well... he thought the inside was kicking... But my main reason why Im writing a review is: I just want to say I love coming to creepyworld every yr. This yr. I wasn't able to go in when I got there, bc i wasn't feeling so great. so we get there paid the $5 to park (which is Hella Cheap), To the Lady in a pink Vest With the multi colored hair with she had a headset with a mic. (which later I found out she was the Supervisor of the parking lot and her name I think was Dottie) anyway, We were directed around the top grass lot and then to the middle section I was 1 car away for the entrance where all the girls stood to collect the parking fee. I was in my car for about 2 1/2 hrs.. Let me just say, I have read some of the reviews and about how the parking lot people are rude.. Well I guess so, as I set in my car, I had my windows down, I could here the rude comments and the disrespect from some of the people that came thru. I watched a guy throw his drink out the window on her bc she asked for $5, and he was pissed bc he just spent $60 per ticket. I got out and was having a smoke, I walked up and asked her if she was ok, or can I go get her supervisor, and that's when she informed me she was the supervisor of the parking crew. "She told me maybe they just had a bad day." I sure hope she is being paid well to put up with that kind of BS, abuse and disrespect. Not that its any of my business, but I just felt bad for her bc I watched her move all around the parking lot and then come back up there and not just that one ignorant man, but she had 3 more ppl that cussed at her and ranted about paying a little ol $5. People need to understand she is doing her job and it could be $20, to park. Stop being rude! I just wanted to let someone know that she was doing the best she could, hell all of them, and the other girl that was collecting, was also running into drunk, high and rude a$$ people.. I thought the parking crew did great.. maybe some people need to lay off the drugs and alcohol before they come.. I hope this reaches them..
