I'm really blown away by crepes. I've had them in France years ago with ham and a cracked egg in them and they were great, but the sweet crepes on offer here just don't do it for me. They do however sell by the bucketload. Whether its with sugar, honey lemon or chocolate spread the queue for this place at the height of the day is ridiculous for a market with such variety. I stole a chunk of my girlfriend's sugar and lemon pancake the last time we were there and I will admit it was tasty. Crisp and crunchy around the edges and slightly squishy in the middle. Regardless of what anyone says about this little place it will continue to make a small fortune. I can only imagine the profit margin on crepes, they sell for a reasonable £2 but cost next to nothing to make. I would give them a try if you something sweet to brighten your day but I would have a look elsewhere and avoid the queue too.

The offer crepes with pretty much every topping you could think of (I had strawberries, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles!) They also offer french toast, LOADS of different flavours of milkshake, and teas and coffees. They are reasonably priced, and they also do outside catering for events which would make a lovely 'different' centrepiece to the day.

It also offers sweet crepes (£4) and waffles. So I got one with ham, onion and egg and my wife opted for ham and onion. We also ordered a flat white and a cappuccino at £2.4 each. The coffees were very good too so no downsides on food, food quality, food portions, temperature and great service. It Audi has soups, toasties, sandwiches and panini. I paid on ordering which meant when we were done we could just up and go. This place has only one downside, it's a small, and narrow place inside with only two tables, with most seating on stools. It's also an ice cream parlour and a sweet shop. There's a large choice of ice cream cones to choose from too. The ice cream is Morelli's, which I can't say I've ever had, and the vivid colours put me off - they have to be artificial. They did have a pooh bear equivalent (I'm a Mauds pooh bear honeycomb fan) but really I couldn't get beyond that blue colouring.

I ordered a duck one and my wife ordered a 3 cheese one, with my daughter getting a sweet maple syrup one (canuck communion wafers). The portions were monster and I quickly dug in. I can't believe I've avoided having crepes as a food all this time! Not only was my dinner one of the best I've had here on the island but my wife and daughter's meals were both damn tasty as well. This place would be making a killing in downtown Vancouver and from what I hear, it's a favorite here too. Do NOT miss this place if you're anywhere near the Quay or on your next trip to Tesco's. They are sparkly gorgeousness with beautiful creamy icing, edible glitter and soft sponge with delightful extra tastes inside. You might bite into one expecting just sponge but end up with some blueberry juice, or chocolate chips and so forth. These guys are artists, and very very good bakers too. We were parked and walking into town discussing where to go for a fry. 'Will it be Cafe Mocha? Will we try Cafolas again?' when we bumped into a friend of a friend. We told him our trouble and he recommended Jarrah - boy are we glad he did. The breakfast selection from 8am to 12 midday is quite outstanding with the choice of a small fry, a regular fry, a deluxe fry or a super deluxe fry - each time the price and the plate size goes up slightly. My beau ordered a super deluxe fry consisting of...wait for it... 2 sausages, 1 bacon, 2 eggs, beans, mushrooms, half a pancake, soda bread, a hash brown, potato bread, french toast and a fried tomato!! Holy Fry -Up! I just ordered scrambled eggs on toast. The food was good, the setting was comfortable and they provide the days papers while you wait. There is a separate section to purchase take-away sandwiches or ice cream, I have heard the sandwiches are also filled well, reasonably priced and tasty. I knew I was going to yelp the place once I'd finished eating it was just so nice. I have had a baby recently and find this is a really handy place to call in, have a bite to eat and feed him. The staff are so friendly they really go out of their way to help me with the pram, holding the door open etc. Also because of the baby, they have no problem providing hot water for the bottle and bringing over my food. There is plenty of space to park my cargo which is a welcome change to other cafe's bunged out with tables. The carry out service is separate to the main seating area so you won't be disturbed while dinning. I would not go anywhere else to eat while in Newtownards.
