Very elegant restaurant with the most tasteful Crepes. If you enjoy cappuccino, you must try one here. The foam on the cappuccino is velvety and creamy and the taste of the espresso is very smooth. This was the only restaurant we visited twice on our trip, a satisfying dessert experience. The first time, we leaned to the savory side, with chorizo, serrano ham with brie, and sobrassada with emmental (the chorizo being the best, as I recall), followed by Nutella with banana. On our return two days later, it was another Nutella with banana and a plain chocolate. We had a bit of a wait the first time, not the second. Service was a bit slow. read more

Wish I would have waited to have a crepe until I got to France. I was craving a crepe and this place was a disappointment and did not meet my expectations. I ordered the mushroom and ham crepe. It had no cheese, no flavor, and no sauce. There was only a few other people in the restaurant when we arrived and the server was very slow and not very welcoming. The cappuccinos were the best part of our meal. The only reason we decided on this place was because we had just watched a concert at the Palau de Música across the street. read more

The large windows give you a great place for people watching and the service is quick and efficient. We both went for sweet crepes, I had the chocolate and hazelnut crepe and my co-Bruncher had a banana and cream crepe. Both were delicious and rather large for the price. Perfect night cap to our evening of tapas & sangria in the Gothic Quarter! This location was the closet one to our hotel (10-15 min walk) & it was also open late late. I ordered the Salmon and Cream Cheese crepe....I loved it! There was no customers inside when we showed up, but by the time we left it was busy. We also got the nutella and strawberries crepe as well as the chocolate and ice cream crepe. We left stuffed. We all were in a food couma. Stepping inside I was initially worried by the smell in the restaraunt. No, it didn't smell bad - quite the contrary. It smelled fresh and clean - like the living room of a new home. More to the point, it didn't smell like food, much less delicious crepes. Fortunately the crepes were quite tasty. The lady had some sort of vegetable crepe that was essentially a crepe with a nice vegetable stew spooned inside. Mine was less exciting but likewise flavorful - egg and chorizo. My wife and I had brunch here to start our day. The atmosphere is very pleasant with a French feel. Large windows afford the opportunity to people watch on Via Laietana and the Palau de Musica is steps away. The crepes were some of the best I've ever had and the staff were very friendly. The service is quick and the price is great for what you get. We had the Nutella crepe and huevos y chorizo. Both were extremely tasty. Bathrooms are well taken care of. Ok, so this place doesn't seem like much and the Crepes they make are definitely not the prettiest but the flavor is bang on. Getting the Egg and sobrassada crepe and the serrano ham/ brie seem like really weird combinations but work really really well. Visited here in March 2010. I was in Barcelona for 6-7 days and came here two or three times after the first taste. It's a perfectly-situated snack spot since you can visit it on the way out or on the way back to your ho(s)tel. The crepe dough was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. We then discovered there was another one of their restaurants on Enric Granados and had dinner there on our last night in Spain. Again the food was fabulous particularly the salads. Unfortunately one of our party had her handbag stolen while we were sitting outside. The staff (Carol & Sonia) could not do enough for us and lent us a phone so we could have the credit cards and cell phone stopped. While it was an unfortunate experience, Carol & Sonia were amazing. I had a tomato and spinach crepe - and was pleasantly surprised to taste really whole juicy tomato slices and a slightly crispy/chewy crepe which is exactly the way I like it. What a combo! Awesome cocktails, (one of the Bartender guys did a mixocologist stint at the Lab bar in Soho) and scrummy crepes. Packed every night I've been in there, this little bar rocks. Nuff said. The menu is err.wellCrepes and Cocktails (yah really). For 4.50 euros a crepe its great value and with most cocktails going for roughly 6.50 euros everyones a winner. On the cocktail side of things you have three laid back and rather witty bartenders, one Brazilian, one Mexican and a spanish dude, and on the crepe side of things there is a charming French women. The simple cocktail menu caters most tastes, but these boys are happy to go off piste and make something special for you if you wish! Bar the french lady, all are full of chat and up for a laugh when they are not crazy busy. With Crepe lady its a case of I'm here to servenose to the grind all night, armed with only her hanky to wipe her moist brow and a pint of water to quench her thirst, she lovingly produces simple but delicious sweet and savory snacks for a hungry mixed crowd in this bijou but charming bar. The first time I went I was quite literally mesmerized for most of the evening watching crepe lady do her thing (maybe the effect of one too many darn good cocktails), but the girl has technique! For me its ham & cheese crepe all the way but the nutella crepe is also a bit saucy. This place pulls in a good crowd which makes the atosphere fun but with a relaxed vibe.
