Would give 0 stars if I could. This place is atrocious and poorly ran. This facility has been open since I was a kid and it's never gotten better. Tons of administrators have come and gone. The only reason this place is allowed to be open is because it's the only skilled nursing in CC. Ask around town, everyone knows how horrible this place is. Please do not put your loved ones here. Better off driving to brookings or Medford to get quality care. read more

There are Many cases against administrator , Public records !!!!! My personal experience with this person was , intimidation, 1hr late for her appointment with me about my mother ( now passed) . It's seems she intimidated many staff members as well. I had communication with several employees. She needs to be removed from this position asap read more

I have been in too many nursing homes here in California that have been discusting! When looking for a place for my mother, we decided to provied 24 hour home care for her because we could not find a home where we felt comfortable leaving her. Crescent City Skilled Nursing home is by far the best and most awesome nursing home I have ever entered or experienced. You do not have a smell as you enter the facility, the staff are helpful and caring, the facility is extremely clean, they have nurses, physical therapists, and nutritionists on staff. Animals can visit their owners. Renee Porter LVN/Administrator is an amazing, caring person in charge of the facility. Her ability to handle difficult situations, her knowledge of patient care, and her desire to make relatives, friends, and staff happy is amazing. This place is horrible. My father had terrible care. Laid in bed for hours without help. The administration is a joke they don't care about anything as long as they get paid. My father had no chance here. I blame myself everyday for putting him there. read more

I know a lot of bad reviews on here. i will acknowledge that like everywhere, they are desperate for staff. That said- they care for a family member of mine and I must admit- I had my hesitations, but they really do seem to care. They seem to nearly always be checking on my family member. Everyone has unique experiences- but thought important to explain that even though i am actually completely against SNFs, they have kinda made me take a second thought. I hope this helps. read more

I actually worked as a CNA at this place for a little under a year. I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time there interacting and helping those that needed it most but there are deep flaws to this place. Those truly interested in the well being of clients are very very rare. Most left out of fear that this place would force them so low they would lose any license they had. Staff higher up is very out of touch with those working on the floor and were generally dismissive to any concerns of mistreatment. I remember one case quite vividly where a fellow CNA left a very large and non vocal patient on a bedpan for 4 HOURS. It was not until she had theft for her lunch that we discovered him sobbing silently and bleeding from the friction the bedpan caused. He told us that she had told him multiple times that he needed to wait to get off the pan. When we went to those higher up then us seeking some action be taken against her for harming this poor man nothing was done and the situation was quickly hushed. It is a system built on cash before quality. Don't be fooled by the word rehabilitation. While I worked here I saw many people come and go. Those that came for a week of therapy got recommended to stay another, then a month, then 3 months. 9 out of 10 patients that entered this place stayed until they were walked out in a black bag. Your family deserves better. read more

This place has to be the worst place I have ever seen. It smells like urine and most of the CNA's dont want to do their job. They claimed my dad could feed himself just so they didnt have to feed him when in all reality he couldn't even lift his hand. When you push the button for help, they dont show up until at least 15 minutes, but most likely longer. My dad is afraid to go to the bathroom because he says they get mad at him for having to clean him up. They let him sit in a dirty, soaked gown until it dried. I feel so sorry for the residence of that facility. The sad truth is that no one has options if they want their family member close by and therefore they have no choice but to put them in that horrible place. read more

I worked there as a second job when I was in the area for a travel nurse assignment. I have worked long term care intermittently over 15 years in three states. I continue going back to long term care as I love working with the elderly as well as the younger residents. I loved working at Crescent City Nursing and Rehabilitation. The management was supportive and open to new ideas and most staff were great to work with. It is like any job, not everyone is a good employee but the majority of them were. I have decided to live permanently in the state where my family is, otherwise I would become a permanent employee there. read more

I currently work at Crescent City Nursing and Rehabilitation. I know that no business is perfect but this is a great place to work. It saddens me to see the lies posted by others.The staff here works hard to care for the residents and does a great job. I know the staff here truly care about their residents and take pride in their jobs. Working in a nursing home is hard yet rewarding work. Administration works hard and goes over and above for the residents and staff. I can't remember the last time I work at a business that still does employee parties but we do here. I have been an employee here for several years and I am appalled at some of the reviews I have just read. I have witnessed EXCELLENT care here given by the staff and know of several residents who absolutely REFUSED to go home because they love it here. Administration has been very attentive to any concerns reported by family and/or staff, and address them promptly. They are compassionate towards the residents and staff and are very accommodating to their staff members. There are several employees who have been working here for over ten years...so please keep that in mind when reading about how horrible the staff is treated. I can't tell you how many times I have heard residents say that they came into the facility very apprehensive because of the "nursing home" stigma but come out feeling great and rehabilitated. read more

I have worked at Crescent City Nursing and Rehab for 4 years and love my job. I have been a c.n.a and worked on the floor for two years of the four and I can tell you that I was always treated with respect on or off the floor by administration. The residents get taken care of very well and everyone working at ccnr care about them. I have witnessed a loving, caring facility that is always willing to give a helping hand to anyone whether it be a resident or staff. Administration deals with any and every situation that may arise and shows compassionate and genuine concern. Just recently we had a resident that was only here to get stronger and because of the care and love she got from staff asked her daughter if she could stay. So please keep in mind when reading negative statements about our facility please remember that most of the time negative has an agenda. I walk into this facility with my head held high and am proud of the care that is given. read more
