( Honestly one of the main reasons I don't come here more often, you can't just pop in to browse and look around ) ~ "If you want to find something in-store then use the app." I find the value in this store is a necessity for a specific electronic component That's usually why I come here, especially when the availability doesn't add up with the app anyway so it's a gamble if I can even get the thing I want. So just pray that the thing that you want is in stock, and on sale for it to be at a reasonable price. I've heard good things about the Geek Squad at this location but every time I've asked them for service they say "We don't do that here" ( even though I've called over the phone to confirm the services before visiting the store. So there is either a miscommunication between the phone service or the store isn't holding to its standards, either way, I've lost my patience trying at this point. ) Overall thoughts Pros: - They have electronics ( sometimes ) - The store is clean Cons: - Their online inventory seldomly matches the store inventory - The interaction with store staff sometimes feels forced and aggressively friendly - It is impossible to ask questions, as usually the question leads to a false expectation or a dead end - Some of the quality of the presented computers is a bit questionable - Even after guarding the entrance and a strong security presence, and with the product being locked up, you still can't browse the store when looking at the product you intend to purchase, almost forcing you to buy piecemeal.

The guy was friendly and repeated many times that it was his pleasure to help us. I thought it was due to our tech stuff being very old, but with everything new and updated, it's made no difference in speed or anything other than the home phone works now, new box. He said he had the same box, brand new, back in 'the safe'. We paid $80 for it, for the old version. He tried to sell us other things, initially we said yes to the netflix etc. package, but ended up changing our minds. He knew we didn't want it, yet he never removed it. He did have me figure out the verizon app, which I was able to get in to. On the way home I deleted the netflix package... it never worked, the charge went thru to the bill. He never told us our bill would be an extra $105/ due to line start ups ( a total verizon rip off) then go back to just a little more per month. He was very interruptive, and just not a good listener, so very frustrating to work with. He never told us that how to send back the old internet box, and he never told us it would cost us $25/mo.until we do send it back. HE NEVER EVER dealt with why I can't sign in to the verizon website. I was on chat last night with verizon for 1 1/2 hrs settling out all the problems this guy created for us. Enrique was fabulous! Enrique is sending me the label to send back the box (he said I could drop it at the store REALLY? WHY DIDN'T THE SALES GUY TELL US THAT?, BUT I don't want to go back there, ever) He cancelled and refunded the netflix package. He explained all the charges and which ones would go away. He apologized over and over for the bad experience we had. BUT I STILL can't sign in to my verizon website ... anyway, FIND ANOTHER VERIZON STORE, Highlands is incompetent.

REVIEW of KOBUCHI COMPUTER (Mark K. and Tyler C)!…read more Mark and Tyler! Great job preserving and recovering data on my HP Pavilion (about 8 years old, 60GB +, bad hard drive and sectors issues). ISSUE: This was scary...my laptop started slowing down and finally said 'insert hard drive' and 'reboot disk'.. on a black screen (see pic below). Not good. I called a half dozen 'geek' repairers but the compass pointed to Kobuchi Computer Repair....reviews here sold me. Virus' was not an issue imo. As Tyler said "This is 9-5 for us." :) WHAT WAS DONE: recovering hard drive (bad), new solid state drive installed :), forensic recovery, new battery - (better than buying new as Windows 11 is not fully embraced by the industry yet) WHAT IS GREAT: Speed, speed, speed...love that. - My Google Chrome tabs / bookmarks were preserved and intact.....all WPS (word) files intact as you said. - My critical files for taxes, finance, health, spiritual, retail, real estate, etc. all are accessible as you said. - EMAIL, printer hookup good! - Most importantly (I was nervous for 3 days!) was my HR Block tax software data access.....years of data ...was it lost? ANSWER: I had to go back to email over 4 years and find HR Block downloads for 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and get the activation codes. I registered each year again the files populated....relief! This year's taxes are about 75 pages to the fed/ 10 to the state (I don't e file) - imagine having to do it over again! FUTURE: Is there a remedy when the laptop is getting on in years and slowing down? Mark and Tyler solved it but it was ugly....Mark will attest to late night hours and data interruptions. REMEDIES: I need to do more cloud saving - Google and WPS are choices or an external hard drive (not a gamer).....a possible 2nd computer dedicated to taxes (?) ...or Mark & Tyler - just bring it back and you'll wave a wand and fix it right? Looked up a you tube video to see how to check that by putting it in diagnostic mode after I left. I couldn't see any areas with dead pixels, nor could any of my family. When I got back to my state, I went to an actual AT&T owned store and what do you know, I traded it in with no issues and they salesman didn't say anything about my phone having dead pixels. I don't know if they just don't know what they're looking at, don't want to to the work or just want to make more money on the sale. Whatever it is, the guy at my local store had no problem doing a trade in.
