The nice thing is, I had changed my mind a bit since showing the initial proof to Zion Tattoo when I initially booked. Travis was totally fine with it and adjusted to my wants. I also appreciated how he added his input on my ideas to ensure they looked good upon completion. I was there for about 45 minutes, everything was fast and inclusive. Fast forward to this…read morepast weekend, one of the balls of the earrings I was pierced with fell off while I was on vacation and I lost the earring. It was the only pair I had. So I made an appointment to get a new pair from this shop. I went in on Tuesday and got a similar hoop and the guy (not Willow, but can't recall his name) replaced them and put them in for me. I was charged $85 which is outrageous, but fine whatever, I paid it and gave the guy a $10 tip. The next day, I noticed the right earring ball was quite loose. I tried tightening it myself but it just keeps spinning around. I didn't want to lose the ball and earring again so I contacted their FB page and asked what I could do to tighten it. Whoever replied said you need a special tool and that I could just "pop in and they'd take care of me". I informed them I'd be there around 5:30 on Thursday (today) and didn't hear back. So I pop in, as directed, and the same guy who fixed me up on Tuesday is there and he asks if I have an appt. I told him I was the one on FB who had the loose earring and he looked at me like he had no clue what I was talking about and said the person who was messaging me is the owner and he's in Thailand. Ok...? Dude didn't even recognize me from 2 days before. I ask him if he will tighten it and he's like "I can but it would be a $10 service charge". I said "I just paid $95 on Tuesday for these and one is loose already and I don't want to lose it and have to pay for another one." He tells me it shouldn't fall out any that me wanting him to tighten it would be "my preference" and that he "doesn't work for free." He was being extremely rude and it was ridiculous that he wouldn't honor what the owner told me. This shop lost any future business from me based on this interaction. I'm only giving 2 stars because my first experience here was just fine, as was my visit on Tuesday. In fact, the guy who got the new earrings in was very pleasant, not at all the kind of attitude I got from him today. Horrible customer service and treatment of a customer.

The apprentice is supervised by a senior piercer, in my case the shop owner, and it was a great experience. We went slow and had an easy paced consultation making sure the placement was just right and would also meet the kind of jewelry I wanted. They were happy to change and mark placement multiple times until I was satisfied and the owner was happy. All in, I paid $90 for both piercings including jewelry plus a tip. They are also make sure to go over aftercare prior to and after getting pierced to make sure you are aware of how involved the healing and care process will be.
