Vegan gyoza and edamame
Jessica C.

Delicious! I loved it. I had an order of the vegan gyoza and a side of edamame. It was an oversight on my part that I didn't see the side of half rice and half edamame, but I'd get that next time. The edamame side was so much edamame. The gyoza was so yummy-crispy on the outside and softer in the middle. The employee recommended miso dipping sauce for the gyoza-fantastic recommendation! I love that crispy gyoza has a vegan option too.

Delicious Chicken Gyozas!!!!! Super flavorful, perfectly crispy on one side, silky on the other. Edamame and sticky rice had no seasoning however they do offer seaweed sesame and wasabi sesame shakers at the condiments table, for you to flavors the sides, yourself, which I did and that helped! Those Gyozas are worth a second purchase, for sure!

Pork gyoza. Yum!

I'm impressed! I'm always skeptical of gyozas are restaurants and food trucks and it's probably because my Japanese mom makes the most amazing gyozas ever! But I have to give it to Crispy Gyoza because their gyozas aka dumplings are just as good as my mom's. No joke. The wonton skin wasn't too thick, the dumplings were cooked to crisp perfection, the flavor was on point and the sauce was just yum. Great job Crispy Gyoza! You've made of fan of me! Tip: Put some furikake on your rice for some extra flavor. Furikake is a dry Japanese seasoning. They have it available on their outdoor table.

Food Truck: Crispy Gyoza @ Bond Brothers Not a fan of these Japanese dumplings. Tried the Seafood & Chicken with a side of edamame. I really enjoyed the edamame, I wish I could say the same for the dumplings but did not enjoy this flavor combination. You receive a pager upon ordering so you can pick your food up when it buzzes which is nice. I would not recommend this food truck.

Awesome art work on that food truck!

Their food truck parked next to our office one day so I decided to try it out. I've never had a gyoza before but I have tried authentic Chinese dumplings so I'm curious try it out. My coworker and I got there right when they started taking orders. We still ended up waiting 10 minutes since they cook them to order. I got their 9 piece lunch box which came with a side of edamame, rice, and pickled vegetables. The gyozas were nicely pan seared at least on 1 side which produces sort of a crust. I got the pork gyoza and they tasted pretty decent. 9 pieces are definitely a good number because with the rice and sides, it didn't leave me starving but I also wasn't bursting with fullness. I absolutely love the seasoning that they have to put on your rice. I've never put seaweed seasoning on rice before but after that day, I've realized I've been living a lie. You can't eat rice without seaweed seasoning. The pickled vegetables added a nice bit of acidity to balance out the richness of the pork inside the gyoza. After my coworker and I got back to the office and shown it to others, I think 2 other coworkers also went downstairs and got their gyoza fix on!

Do not go by this opportunity to taste some special flavors in expertly crisped dumplings! Please try the vegetarian...so unique and flavortastic! We also got chicken shrimp so unique and tender delicious inside. The side of perfect rice was just the thing! I love your site with the upcoming week's locations...see u soon! Woohoo

This truck was at the 2019 Durham Food Truck Rodeo. Lady at the cashier was friendly and efficient. The food was also prepared quickly considering the crowd. They have a nice buzzer system to notify you when your food is ready. I think $6.75 for 6 dumplings and edamame is a good deal! And the food was well prepared and flavorful. I had the pork gyoza with miso sauce. Excellent! Thank you for the tasty treat!

My uncle calls me a "Yelp Elitist" which isn't super complimentary but made me laugh because I'm just "Yelp Elite." As mentioned previously, I am a bit of a food pain. That being said, I really did enjoy this food truck during lunch today. I don't eat pork - this means that Crispy Gyoza didn't have tons to offer me except for their vegan dumplings (gyoza). Lucky for me, they were absolutely delicious! It wasn't as if I felt the loss of meat - they tasted substantial (hearty & savory as if I were eating meat) and the quantity really filled me up. I feel that ten dollars was definitely worth it - it came with 9 gyoza, seaweed salad, rice and edamame salad. I got miso sauce and lime soy sauce. The wait was fifteen minutes but I was given a beeper for the wait (image below). The truck was brightly colored and the weather has been variable - it was almost a perfect day to eat outside with a friend - the food feels light and spring/summer appropriate.

In the case of Succotash we feel we have found the holy grail... Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff? check Homey and a little funky atmosphere? check cool soundtrack? check BUT what about the food? We first came for brunch... I had the 'Brisket and Grits'. It was a very tender brisket with cheesy, garlicky grits, scallions with fried egg. The best part? They drizzle some of the brisket gravy over the grits... Oh man this was delish. We got talking about South Louisiana food with our server and he told us they bring in Leidenheimers french bread from New Orleans for their po-boy's. What's the big deal? ...I'll tell you! The bakery was founded in 1896 and it is the ONLY bread that marks a true po-boy to New Orleans natives. Why? Because of it's unique texture. Their loaves have a pillowy soft interior and a crunchy crust that isn't found in most french breads. It's the gold standard for po-boys. So today, I came back to Succotash for an Oyster po-boy. And the Verdict? Five stars mon ami! Leidenheimers bread with a very generous amount of perfectly fried oysters. ...I like mine simple with just lettuce, tomato and a little hot sauce. This was I can honestly say, the very best oyster po-boy I have found outside of NOLA. ... so yeah, I've found a new home... thanks and a tip o' the hat to Chef Juan DiGiulio and the great staff he has brought together!

While the food was good, it didn't knock my socks off. And they're definitely more of a creole restaurant than a southern one. There are better cajun/Creole restaurants in the RTP area. I was going to order the creole gumbo, but found out when I came in that it was a seafood gumbo today not their regular one. Oh well. So I ordered jambalaya with a side of red beans and rice. Both were good but a little dry and I've had better nearby. The fresh catch of the Day was Amber Jack, and I love that fish, so maybe I should've ordered that in a Poboy. Might come back to try some of their other offerings.

A1 Gyro and Philly, a food truck that serves lamb gyro, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and grilled…read morechicken sandwiches, came to a neighborhood in Carrboro, NC today, and as a lamb gyro enthusiast, I decided to buy a couple (1 for my girl). I was the only customer, and the friendly Middle Eastern guy in the food truck asked what I wanted: 2 gyro wraps. He asked if I wanted to add hot sauce to my gyros with tzatziki sauce, and I said, "Yes". I asked him where the food truck is based, he said that he goes to different locations, and didn't mention a permanent location. I checked the address here on Yelp and it says it's based in Durham, NC, which is not too far from here. Each gyro wrap cost $12, and my total came up $26+ (I assume with tax included). I was about to pull out $25 cash but after he said total, I pulled $30, and he said not to worry about it. I insisted to give the $30 and he gave a $5 change. I guess I got a $1 discount. He finished cooking both gyros in about 12 min., a bit longer than I expected, considering I was the only customer he was serving at that time. The gyro wraps were served inside a small paper bag, and wrapped in aluminum foil. I was quite surprised at the size of the order for 2 gyros. When I opened my gyro wrap, the size looked regular yet a bit smaller that what I had in last October's State Fair, which was fine, considering the State Fair gyro (which came with side of Greek fries) cost me $18+. However, unlike that State Fair gyro, I did not enjoy A1's main specialty. I would have to agree with what the previous reviewer Renee said, "Onions does not make a Gyro make". I love onions but not too much on my Gyro; this one is loaded with so much onions, lettuce, and tomato to the point that it's drowning the flavors of tzatziki sauce and hot sauce (Did he forget to put it?). The amount of lamb gyro meat didn't seem to justify its $12 price; it's not even spiced well, and the mush of ingredients to hide the fact that it's lacking meat just looked as bad as it tasted. That's not even the worst part. When I ate the gyro wrap, the pita bread tasted soggy, and that unpleasant texture and taste were more emphasized on every bite than the lamb gyro. I was not able to finish it; and just threw my leftover away. As I'm writing this review, my girl hasn't eaten her gyro wrap yet, and I haven't told her what I thought so she could judge by herself. We recently enjoyed an $11+ gyro in Kebab Skewer in Cary, and a $12+ chicken + lamb over rice at Tasty Halal Eats food truck in Morrisville, NC (both I reviewed here on Yelp), and I'm sad to say that A1's gyro wraps were nowhere close to the food quality of those foods and the State Fair gyro I mentioned earlier. The food truck's friendly customer service and 99% Sanitation Score are the only positive things I could say about this food truck. A1's gyro is clearly the opposite of what "A1" means. Overall Score: 1.1/5
