Basically my worst fear has been realized that my face looks worse now than it did before due to the unevenness of the result and the 2.5 inch scar I have from the second procedure. After the initial surgery it was obvious that the left side of my sub mental area was much fuller than the other. I went to about half a dozen follow up appointments where I was told it was from post op swelling, fluid rentention and finally scar tissue. After being told it was due to weight gain, I asked the dr to look at my progress photos showing my left side has been fuller since the initial surgery. At that point he gave me a cortisone injection which didn't help at all. After a year of follow ups and wearing a compression garment for at least 12 hours a day I was finally told I needed another procedure to remove scar tissue on the left side. Although I was afraid of having another procedure especially with the same doctor, I ultimately agreed since it was the only way I would have a chance at getting the result I wanted without having to pay for a whole new procedure with a new doctor, which I couldn't afford. I assumed the procedure would be like the initial one and wasn't told anything to the contrary, but I was wrong. Instead of having the small half inch scars I had during the initial procedure, I had a two and a half inch scar across the entirety of my chin. This wasn't mentioned to me in the office but rather I realized it when I removed the bandages at home. I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that my left side was still substantially fuller than the right, or the large scar I'm left with that is still and probably always will be incredibly noticeable. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Ress' attention a year and a half ago he told me the only solution was yet another procedure. I couldn't bring myself to take another risk, so decided to wait it out and see it gets better. Well here we are 4.5 years later and its still the same. I also have little to no feeling on the left side and it will often start to feel swollen and hot randomly. I'm just heartbroken with this outcome. I spent money I shouldnt have and time in pain/recovery I'll never get back. Dr. Ress was always nice and to his credit offered another procedure as a solution, but I can't take the risk of it getting worse. I had one failed breast surgery, at the age of 20 years old, with a seroma, because the doctor failed to offer me drains. Then, I redid my breasts, at 22 years old. I did a mini lift, with small implants, as I naturally have a lot of breast tissue, to surround the implants. I chose a good surgeon then. I had those for 15 years, but they were just too big & bothered my back. Dr. Farber explained to me, that my breasts were drooping because my implants were too small for the width of my breasts. Dr. Farber recommended to remove the old implants, to avoid the drooping, then add an internal bra & do a full lift. Today, I am over 6 months out, from my breast surgery, with Dr. Farber. I had an explant, internal bra & full lift. My breasts are so great, they look like there are still implants in there. They are small & perky, just how I wanted them. My pain has been so minimal, compared to my past 2 breast augs. My back feels great now & no more back pain!! I feel taller & have a more slender silhouette now. The consult costs $100 but if you proceed with a service, they will deduct this cost from your final bill. At my appointment, I found the lobby to be very calming. The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone I spoke to throughout this experience have been kind, personal, and supportive. Dr. Rosenstein has a unique character where he makes a lot of jokes but he also is very thorough with his work. He answered all of our questions and explained the procedure in great detail while going over his process, risks, and recommendations. I decided to move forward after my consult as I felt very comfortable in a very uncomfortable setting for me (never had surgery before). Day of my surgery - I was nervous but as I got to the surgery center, the nurse even told me that I chose a great doctor! She works for the surgery center so she is unbiased. When I came back for the second consult, Dr Berman was rude and yelled at me for coming to him with insurance. He would do the procedure, but was no longer willing to charge insurance, rather he wanted out of pocket payment. Maybe he was simply having a bad day, but from the time I spoke on the phone to make my first appointment to the first visit and undergoing the tests he asked me for, I was lead to believe that he would do my procedure under insurance payment. This had already been deemed necessary and approved by insurance. In addition to all this, my consults and tests were payed by insurance to his office, but Dr Berman's office still sent me a bill for the visit which the insurance said he should not have because he accepted the insurance payment. Dr Berman might be a good doctor from what the reviews say, but he is certainly lacking some follow through with what he promises and he is a very greedy doctor. I wasted my time, ended up with a bill, and was forced to start the process with a different doctor who did this procedure very quickly without any issues.
