In 2023 built a home and siding started coming down and issues. cristo has documentation rhsy tried at least 4 times to. fix within Warrenty. matthew from the Warrenty team set up vendor to come out 2/10/26 as I had outside siding companies look andxsaid a builders error and should have withheld 200 miles per hr wind! vendor was a NO SHOW 2/10 and 9 days of more, nothing and Matthew says hes waiting to hear from vendor all these days?! very unprofessional and not appropriate at all! I need this resolved ASAP! read more

However, it is a reason why * subpar quality (material and work) * Poor communication * Many mistakes (flooring, siding,) Examples: * In my community within 1 year 3 homes A/C units broke * Many had floor complaints * Furnace went out on 3 homes (water issues inside) * Post home inspection discovered roof issues * Several people had siding concerns * Discovered post move in that upgrades people paid for they did not receive (garage, upgraded siding ) It's tempting to go because they might be the only builders in that community, but find another one. We recently closed on our second Cristo home and have had a great experience both times. Our first home was a Market house that was framed and ready within the time line promised in 2016. We were first time buyers and loved our home, but needed more space. We built a second home with Cristo in the Trails of Todhunter community and love our new space! Michelle is always such a wealth of knowledge and a straight shooter - she is respectful of your budget and makes helpful suggestions to find out what is most important to you in making final decisions. We had delays in getting finished but that is just the current state of things in the world and not completely unexpected. Overall we have the space we need on a lot we love with the finishes and additions that were important to us. If I could give this company zero stars I would, while the majority of the reviews seem to be positive for this company, it seems most of these people have not lived in their new house very long. Our current Cristo homes is six years old, While it looks beautiful on the outside Cristo took many shortcuts in the building of these houses. We have had issues with leaking roofs, windows and doors. Couple that with no appropriate flashing, and the damage begins. The picture I am posting is the subfloor under our rear sliding glass door. As you can tell the floor is completely gone and the door and floor need to be replaced. You wouldn't think this would be needed in a house that's only six years old, but that is what you get when you buy a Cristo home. Furthermore, I've already had to replace the downstairs back door as well. So if anyone is looking to get a house built I would strongly recommend going elsewhere and choosing a more reputable builder. Companies like this should not exist when a home is one of the biggest investments you ever make. read more

We are in the process of building our home with Cristo. Everything was easy to do it was easy to pick out our finishings. We enjoyed the fact that prior to the start of finalizing the blueprints they had us pick out where we wanted data ports, sound systems, security systems and central vacuum. I also like the New home construction portal where you can view your finishes and they post weekly pictures of the construction process. Michelle answered a lot of questions for us in the beginning - she is patient and excellent. Mike has kept us updated regularly. We're still a few months out from moving in. read more

Don't buy a Cristo Home! Within a month our carbon monoxide detector went off three times. The furnace had to be replaced. Our pipes froze. It took over a month to get them fixed. Another house in our neighborhood's also froze and burst! They water down their paint. You'll never be able to clean your walls. And your replacement paint will be moldy in less than a year. We own a Cristo home in Liberty Twp. Highly advise anyone NOT to work with this builder. Their workmanship is awful snd you really have to advocate strongly for yourself in order to get even the most obvious defects addressed. Customer service is awful. Communication is awful. Furthermore Joe Cristo is holding our neighborhood HOA "ransom" and will not turn over control of the HOA board despite being years overdue according to the bylaws. He will not hold a meeting because he wants to continue to pay himself to be on the board despite not owning any lots in this community after selling out to Drees 18-24 months ago. We are now forced to take a legal action and have retained a lawyer. Very disappointing. read more

I especially liked that their homes are categorized by school districts-- exactly what you should be looking for in a home first! They have floor plans to match any budget, too. I am super impressed with the quality of home that Cristo builds. I wish we would have started our process here from the beginning and not wasted so many weekends visiting other builders who did nothing but try to deceive us before we visited Cristo Homes. Be very careful with CRISTO HOMES. My house started squeaking on the stairs, floors in just two months. There were leaks leading to Molds in showers. Don't buy with Cristo Homes. Although some of the employees at Cristo show that they really care about their buyers, most of the time the contractors and office people are telling their new home buyers no. When you sign your house they tell you that they will be coming at 3 months an 11 months to inspect the homes and fix anything that has shifted, or needs repairing. This process is anything but exceptional. Every time something needs fixing they give you a date and never come, or they tell you that it is something that is not covered. Also, the house only has a one year warranty, this is so because most of the things they put in the house - windows, paint, cabinets - is super cheap and they know they won't last more than a year. Even their contractor admitted to us that the windows they put in the house are really cheap, and that the paint they use is watered down. Which makes patching up almost impossible. This whole process with Cristo has been exhausting, and I would never wish that upon anyone else. If you can buy with anyone else, do so. This company promises the moon and stars and they ALWAYS come up short of their promises. read more

Entire neighborhood is having issues with cement board and install. Do not build a Cristo Home. The absolute worst experience of my life. Three months after closing roof began to leak. Half the windows were installed crooked and I don't think there is a single straight light socket in the entire house. I had to repaint every room because primer was showing through even though contract stated there would be two coats of paint on walls. Kitchen cabinets pulling away from walls within first year and mold was found behind baseboards two years after closing. Cristo is award of the mold problem and has done nothing to resolve. read more
