We engaged Mees initially to create an atmosphere in our kitchen that mirrored a natural setting. They designed granite countertops that captured the flow of green, teal and brown featured in the azul portefina granite ww chose to cover our island as well as our countertops. The colors mimic the hues displayed in the landscapes and paintings in an art museum and delight the eye. Cooking in this environment is never boring. During the following year we returned to Mees and acquired a green quartzite countertop for our master bathroom to compliment the hues in our stained-glass window crafted by a master German artist. The effect is breathtaking. We are now in a quest to remodel another bathroom reflecting Souther gentility with historic southern colors and charm and would never consider seeking assistance from anyone but Mees. They currently have upgraded their services to include installation. The owner and staff reflect the professionalism, competency, and consideration we have come to appreciate and expect. This place takes the stress out of selecting tiles for your home. From the moment I walked through the doors I knew I was going to love it shopping there. Trophy fish were on display and a purring cat to welcomed me. The people who work here are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Mike worked with me on tile for several rooms that I was struggling to find what I liked and he was patient and enabled me to find what I loved. I also picked out marble for a fireplace hearth and had great help from Jeremy and Tim. They moved slabs of rock to give me options for the pattern. When I commented on how beautiful the onyx was, they showed me how it could be lit from below to be even more beautiful. I have been back to the store several times to complete my tile selections and they are very organized in keeping track of everything that I have picked out and working with my builder. Well the contract work ended up falling through - partially because the professional they sent to my home was unwilling to do "handyman work" (how he described installing my kitchen backsplash). Overall, the job did not get done, but I am still satisfied with Mees as a whole - just not who they contract with. read more

So when you are on that long, involved, intensive search for the perfect tile, this is a must-stop. Some of their salespeople are very, very helpful and knowledgable. Unlike the Tile Shop, there is no high=pressure sales job. But tends towards high-end renovations of old houses IMHO. Totally mod glass subway tile? No. Great subway tiles? Yes. Redoing a pool and have money to burn? Yes. I just couldn't find the right mix for me, personally. And some of the floor staff make you fell like you have to be part of a local club, or workers club, or something.... read more

Went to MEES to look for countertops the price given seemed to be decent but the quote was extremely outrageous. They would not provide a breakdown. Of where the outrageous pricing came from. The quote was unprofessional and lacked professionalism. The lack of communication was horrible as well. There are many places that are honest and want your business don't waste your time. MEES needs to make some changes and step up their game. read more

Sales people were not interested in a 1-house project. They were looking for bigger sales, something with a better commission perhaps.

Like many of the Reviews state, the estimate might as well be written on a napkin. We ended up going with them because they were going to be able to work within our remodeling time frame. What a major mistake! By the time it's all said and done we should've stuck with the original people. We ended up paying almost twice as much and with all the pricing delays, they installed it in just about the same time as the other guys would have. Rodney said you only pay for what you use and that is not true. Also you need to be an expert fabricator know where your seams will be cut. Otherwise your estimate is way off and it's your fault. They are great until they get their non-refundable deposit. Otherwise they do have a nice selection of tile, granite and quartz. read more

My mother had her kitchen redone. Mees Distirbutors is where she picked out the granite counter top she dreamed off. It did take her a few trips to decide on a color but she has been waiting for her kitchen to be remodeled for many many years, she wanted to be sure it was the right choice. Rodney in the granite department especially helped her out. Mees doesn't install granite but they fabricated and cut the stone. They did however recommend someone to install and the end results couldn't have been better. She's very happy. We plan to use them again when its time to finish the bathroom vanity. read more

Buyer beware with Mees Tile Cincinnati. We were NOT told prior to purchasing $2,000 worth of tile that they DO NOT let you return unused tiles. Terrible customer service. You are better dealing with tile stores that let you return unused product. Stay away from Mees. read more

We were very excited about the options and pricing when we left after the first visit. HOWEVER, received a quote which might as well been scratched onto a napkin with the lack of clarity it provided. The square footage costs initially provided seemingly means very little since the final quote offered no breakdown or transparency as to how they generate the estimated price. Their policy apparently stipulates that Mees WILL NOT provide full line item cost estimates, which tells me two things...1. They reserve the right to charge you whatever they want 2. They have no interest in working with small budget residential clientele. Either way, we are very disappointed with the amount of time we wasted ever walking in the door. The granite looked great almost matched the under mount sink perfectly. I say almost, they had a template that came with the sink that we gave them. It was very difficult getting help upon initial and subsequent visits. They kept saying our guy was busy. Even when we went in to look for matching tile. The price kept changing each time we talked to them, going up of course. Ended up paying 2k more than we had quoted from another granite dealer for a mid grade granite. Do not listen to their initial price because they charge outrageous prices for things as simple as a hole to put the soap dispenser. We originally went with another granite dealer and it was 2k cheaper with exact same layout and extras. Only the first dealer had an accident while delivering our granite dropped and broke it. Oh and to finish the the cut out sink holes into cutting boards was about 80 plus tax each, (we had two) but price jumped up 500. We couldn't figure that one out.... Like I said price kept going up and up. We would've cancelled but they already had 1500 deposit before the price started rising. read more

I needed a large limestone window sill cut into 2 smaller sills - it was already polished on the top and two sides. I was doing this because the stone was a rare pink Tennessee limestone. All the sills in the building are this rare stone and I wanted the replacement sills to match. I asked for two cuts w/only the cut edges polished. When I delivered it, I was told it would be ready in a month. A month later, when I checked, they couldn't find it. My husband went over there and searched their work area. He found it - they turned it around in a week. I had them picked up and installed. It seemed too expensive but I got past it because it was late and it was holding up the installation of the new windows. After it was installed the window guy told me one of the cuts hadn't been polished. When I inspected their work, I found they had polished the whole thing (except one side) and added an edge treatment. Guess that's why it cost so much! But, they didn't finish it. I moved sills around because the high gloss polishing they did didn't match the other sills. Now I need to cut another piece and I'm forced to pay too much to match the other work they did (that I didn't want). A lot of a pain in the butt over 3 window sills. I just want to mention, despite the fact I supplied the stone, it cost $330. I clicked one star because I couldn't submit otherwise. The stone is gorgeous, but I can't undo the extra work I had to pay for and didn't want. I would use them again, but I would micromanage the project to excess. read more
