So first off if the instructor sees this please know you were fine, it's the format of the class…read morethat the organization did that created the issue. That's the only reason there's any stars at all. I'm sorry but I really need to review this class and Red Cross needs to not use this location until it can be fixed. (Anaheim LOCATION) They do not separate BLS from the regular CPR for civilians. And it was NOT good. There was not enough equipment for everyone (including the BLS professionals). It was extremely rushed. The children, infant and First Aid portion was rushed to the max. I have taken a how to on tourniquet before and it was not enough information given during this part. I'm a civilian and I'm not prepared even though I'm now technically certified. I literally need to retake. There was no skills review section for civilian which is concerning, doesn't Red Cross want certification to mean anything? My husbands class at another location had a skills review. And it wasn't rushed like this. The BLS test was being administered at the end when civilian video was going on. It was difficult to follow the video with the q & a from the BLS. Plus the stop start and not finishing parts of the video make it extra hard to follow. And I'm assuming taking a test with video blasting isn't great for the professionals. Note for content to Red Cross, why doesn't the anaphylaxis portion tell you to use the opposite leg for the second dose of epinephrine? That's basic information and as someone who carries epinephrine I'm actually angry Red Cross doesn't include that information?! It's literally dangerous. Don't include it at all if you can't do it properly. *Edited to add I did NOT sign up for the one that says combined. I signed up for this " ARC Adult Child and Infant CPR AED and First Aid Full Class". No BLS mentioned.

Great class professional, easy, and on time. Great location…read moreand very easy to navigate too.

First, The SG Center has relocated to 1801 Excise Ave. #108, near Mission and Haven…read more The facility may look small when you walk in but it's huge in behind doors. I like how they kept it clean and organized. You first wait in the break room and they have water dispenser with both hot and cold water. You may also help yourself to some fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and other snacks. It's a cozy break room with comfortable couches and chairs. The bathroom is also neat and clean. The staff is very welcoming and hospitable. I took the PALS class and Alex was my instructor. It's your standard class with book and videos but what I like about Alex was that she stopped each video to see if we have a questions and she also reviewed whatever information was pertinent to the video. Alex was patient and did not make us feel stupid at all. She encouraged us to remember the information and did not rush us to answer any questions. When I answered questions incorrectly, she politely corrected me. Another great perk about this place, it's near a lot of restaurants, both fast food and dine-in. I highly recommend The SG Center.

I signed up for an early Saturday BLS class that supposed to start at 8am. So I got there at on…read moretime and the door was still locked. So I waited for 5 minutes, and no one answered the door as I consistently knocked on the door. So I waited for another 10 minutes. I figured I'd give them 15 minutes before I called the office's number. I finally called and I was told that their computer some how did not receive my registration...but interestingly enough received my credit card payment lol. So I was told that the instructor (which I think is the owner) will be there at 9 am. So I tried to not be as upset and tried to make my day better by going to a local fast food and get myself come coffee and breakfast. Then I came back at 9 am, and I was greeted by the instructor and he told me that he was sorry that his computer in the office some how did not sync with the website registration. Then he said that he will give me 10% off for the inconvenience (which will show on my bill as a credit). So I accepted his apology and his discount. However, as I was about to begin to class, I realize that he is the only instructor there and he was instructing one other customer in a different room with a different class. So he was walking back and forth...back and forth. To his credit, he did a good job juggling the two classes and he was still able to teach me a few new things in my BLS classes. He then told me that he didn't have the manual book that I had purchased with my registration. Low and behold, about 2 hours in...his little daughter came in the office and brought him the manual book. I thought that was kinda funny. By the way, what made me to write this review and give it 3 stars is not the fact that they were late for an hour. It's not that they were not professional by having the whole family working rather employees. It''s not that there was only one instructor running back and forth and juggling the two classes simultaneously. But it's the fact that they didn't credit my 10% discount. I called him 3 weeks later and left a message, never received a return call from them. I checked my credit card, and haven't gotten the credit. So there you go.....
