The front desk staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful whenever I call or stop by. They also have a lost-and-found, which is a nice added touch. The facility is well kept, the hours are flexible and extend into the mid-evening, and the pricing is very reasonable. I only pay about $3 per visit, which makes it an excellent value overall. There's a weight lifting area but I've yet to use but from the outside looking in it appears clean! This location also has a playground and a batting area!

They have morning yoga sessions on the actual beach (typically ~7am) and they have some "Lawn Yoga" at the Las Olas park across from the beach, as well as some occasional night time yoga on the beach typically for full moon events. Lawn Yoga I attended 9:30 am on a Saturday $10 cash Cute lawn area for group yoga outside. It's $10 for about a 1.5 he class. WARNING as the sun starts coming out and the shade from the surrounding palm trees disappear if gets HOT! Bring sunglasses and iced water. I am likely not to attend this class time anymore because of the heat alone. Although she does hand out a cold drink and cool aroma therapy towels at the end that is helpful. You follow the instructor but this isn't the type of class where the instructor will correct or help your form. There is a Market going on at the same time as the class so it's cool to stroll around and see what the vendors are selling afterward. I had to pay parking if $25 via pay by phone app and that was a bummer. Moonlight yoga Occasional monthly event. $15 cash Attended Thursday at 630pm. They bring speakers and there are 2-3 row sections facing the beach. The sound of the ocean is beautiful. I attended class with one instructor the but the following day a different instructor hosted a similar session. Very nice and spiritual with the combination of the ocean and the moonlight. Although I felt that it could have been more in depth poses. Warning : No bathrooms around and it gets chilly once the sun starts going down.

After the…read morerenovations here, the Aquatic Center boasts the finest diving training facility in the Western Hemisphere--seriously, this facility is, especially for cliff diving, so good professional athletes come from as far as New Zealand to train here. The 27m platform is a true rarity: only a scant few dive towers in the world have this height and very few divers require it but by having heights above 10m (the highest standard Olympic height) Lauderdale is ready to meet the needs of future disciplines of diving. As a diver I am impressed by not just the facility on a physical level but the general professionalism of all involved in it. I cannot speak to the swimming facilities: aside from swimming across the dive well after a dive, I don't swim much. And I do understand that renovations are still underway which may frustrate some people as may the fact many aspects of the Center are dedicated mostly to professional/team development and not always open, but this facility is overall a true gem.

His teacher never even asked what the kids' names were and had to find out what his teacher's name was by hearing another lifeguard calling for him. Lucas it was. The Guppy class. He had absolutely no control over his class. He let the kids who weren't having thier turn jumping in and out of the water and swimming around not paying attention. And he was definately not paying attention to them. He never taught them any swimming strokes. Just told them to do the backstroke and freestyle stroke 5 feet. He just watches them and never gave any critteique. Not once. They never swam even 1 length of the pool. Not sure how they can go from this class to the Gater class when the Gater class is swimming lengths of the pool the whole time practically. He did not know any of each kids strengths or weaknesses. Teaching them to dive from the sitting position on the side of the pool when some kids could do a great job standing. Then has kids who couldn't even do a fairly good job from the side of the pool to doing it from the diving board. Unbelievable.

This is such a peaceful place where you can sit along the water and listen to birds while canoers and kayakers paddle though the waterway. There are also basketball courts and and a fitness trail for the more athletic and a bicycle rental rack if you want to peddle through the beautiful neighborhoods. Parking is plentiful and there is also bathroom facilities on the property. Safety is also monitored by a park ranger who drives a pickup truck.
