Cross Bay Travel is a mom and pop business that has been in Howard Beach on Crossbay Boulevard for at least 30 years. I've been using Cross Bay Travel for 15 years. Nick and his team Carmen and Glenn are lovely caring considerate folks. They never look to take advantage of their clients and they always try to help them save money or advise and protect them of possible negligence on the part of the airline or hotel. My trust for them is impeccable, and whatever my needs are I know that Cross Bay Travel has my best interest at hand. They have many magazines on display of places all over the world that you can visit and they're always happy to sit down and discuss your travel needs no matter what they might be and your budget. Next to each of their desks are beautiful thank you cards many with photos of there appreciative clients over the years. It's so nice to see still one of the original businesses on the boulevard still around and still in its original decor for many years. So I went to this travel agency because well I live in the neighborhood and wanted to book a vacation to Italy. My husband and I go one day and the people that work there quickly dismissed us only asked what dates and where we wanted to go and said they would call us or email. I thought it was weird they didnt ask for anything else, but my husband said to wait. Waited 2 days and we went and asked if there were anything the could offer us. Again they said to give it some time that they needed to contact their "associate in italy". Yeah ok. Been more than 2 weeks and yet to hear anything. I dont know if they did not entertain us because we are young, but we are a young couple with good jobs no kids and money to spend on a vacay. Anyway I ended up booking the vacay to Rome and Positano at a ridculous price doing it myself. This is why travel agencies are going out of buisness. read more

I am writing this as a parent on behalf of my son. My son and 2 of his friends recently booked a trip to the Dominican Republic with Nick Gramenides at the Punta Cana Resort. Price was excellent and all arrangements very easy without any issues. However my son came down with Covid the day before he was scheduled to go home. Even though it was a weekend he was able to get through to the agency almost immediately to make any needed changes. Aside from an excellent deal with a very good resort it was great to work with an agency that works for and with his it's clients. For what could have been a very difficult and costly situation, it was handled as good as one could have hoped for and was very stress free considering all the potential issues; health care, hotel stay, airline changes at the very last minute, etc. This is what a great agency and agent should be like. As a parent I am thankful and lucky that my son (through his friend) used Crossbay Travel and Nick. Also kudos to Travel Impressions as my son was able to get through to them almost immediately on a Sunday morning hours before his flight was scheduled to leave.
