There are also different classes to choose from such as Boot Camp, TRX and Heat. I began with a groupon and was hooked after the first week. The coaches Eddie and Bonnie are great. They always encourage you to try harder, do your best and complete the workouts. I also don't think there has been a workout where everyone hasn't laughed at something. The biggest reason I decided to have my son attend Strategic as opposed to other martial arts schools is 1- The curriculum that is taught is done by professionals that actively participate in the field. 2- The amount of students per class is fair and a frequent training schedule. Students are able to ask questions and the instructors are able to correct any issues or concerns individually. 3- No BS or hidden fees, you pay for your Monthly membership and an annual fee that covers promotion ceremonies (4x a year-don't quote me on that) and any expenses for the instructors travel. should your child compete. Jen was amazing at showing me the basics of Pilates and helping me find reformer classes that would suite my needs. Susan and her instructors have a wonderful disposition and are extremely skillful instructors. When initially starting I had a lot of body and self confidence issues since I had gained an extreme amount of weight. I was not comfortable with how I looked; however, never once did I feel out of place or uncomfortable. I love the intimacy of the classes, knowledge of the instructors and the welcomeness of the studio. Since my journey I've attend several group classes with various instructors and personal sessions with Susan. I've enjoyed learning more about my body, what works best for my body even with health challenges and overall body movement at Pivotal. I highly recommend this studio.

She assured me that unused classes would roll over each month, which influenced my decision to sign up. I have consistently paid my monthly dues, and as expected, there have been instances where I could not attend, resulting in accrued classes. Recently, my membership was suspended because the management deemed it unethical to continue charging me while I was not attending. I conveyed to Donna, the manager I have not yet met, that I am willing to continue paying. However, their primary concern seems to be my accrued classes, for which I have already paid. They informed me that I would only regain access to my accrued classes if I re-enrolled, limiting my ability to utilize these classes to a specific timeframe. I find it highly unethical that I am required to sign up again to access my accrued classes (in a specific time frame), while my new membership will continue to accrue additional classes. This approach demonstrates a lack of respect for clients and prioritizes financial gain over customer satisfaction. The business practices at this pilates studio are subpar, with even former employees highlighting a lack of respect. While they offer standard pilates classes, there is nothing exceptional about the experience. Instructors frequently change without prior notification, and clients are often spoken to in a condescending manner. I would prefer to invest my $250 in a more professional studio.

I am in the adult class and, at age 59, am in some of the best shape of my life. It has even helped keep my arthritis at bay. Went for my first session for KM and the instructor Sensei MJ was really patient (considering I was super late!) & was super knowledgable. The basic moves he showed me for self defense made sense in doing it! He's had 20+ years of experience in practicing, living, and incorporating martial arts into his daily life. Really enjoyed my session and counted it for the day's work out! lol Then I saw how he was with my nephew. My nephew is really shy and reserved. It took him a while, but eventually he warmed up and really enjoyed his 1st session with Sensei MJ. Sensei MJ was really patient, kind, respectful when working with him. He was explaining directions, words, and reasons clearly and simply for my nephew to understand. Sensei MJ really makes it a fun session; to get the kid active physically and mentally. To have them really enjoy martial arts. His kind and patient nature is truly evident in his teaching. He strives for the success of all his students both on the mat and other aspects of their lives. His style of teaching is always positive, supportive, encouraging and rewarding. My daughter has been learning and continues to develop many skills at Ambition MA. She is learning leadership through teaching her peers. She is learning teamwork through the development of good communication, support for each other and working together. She is learning safety through the understanding of physical limits and boundaries of herself and those around her. She has become more confident and resilient. She is more social with her peers. She would get in trouble for "going too hard." FYI This place does not compete, does not support competition, and will definitely not prepare your child for a real world, self defense situation. The owner claims he is all about self defense, yet the training here is sub par and nowhere near the kind of skills you'd need for an actual fight. I regret having stayed for so long...I had no idea. I left in September of this year and my current 4 year old already knows submissions and trains hard at our other place now. My 6 year old has THRIVED since leaving Ambition. If you are just looking for a hobby, something that makes you feel like you are progressing (but really aren't), and you love the false sense of skills, then this is your place. It wasn't until I entered the real competition world of jiujitsu in July 2025, that I realized, WOW, Ambition has taught my kid nothing in terms of actual fighting, offense, and defense. She was never taught any submissions. A true disappointment. I'm a full time working mother so giving up time and money for an activity needs to be worthwhile. I have massive regrets. Was this place a nice start? Sure. But definitely NOT a place to stay at if looking for real skill, technique and progression. A few month ago I got into a workout rut. I have always been very active and went to various…read moreclasses (bootcamps, kickboxing, spin, etc) but after a while I always get bored. I never push myself very hard when I work out on my own. I found Crossfit ASC on living social and had one month of unlimited membership. After the first day I was hooked. The workouts are awesome, and Nick (the owner) breaks down each exercise for you (which was particularly helpful since I hadn't done crossfit before). The workouts are challenging, but they can be scaled to be easier/harder depending on your level. Everyone is super friendly and will push you to achieve your goals, whether it is learning how to do your first pull up or getting a new pr on your deadlift. If you are in the area give ASC a try, its the best gym in the area! (warning: crossfit is addicting!!)
