I will say after a bunch of research, CFB is the ONLY gym that would include our entire family in their classes!

I can already feel and see the benefits from the workouts; my strength, mood and energy have definitely improved. I like the group camaraderie and friendly welcomes to established and new members. Fitness goals and challanges are encouraged and assistance is available. There are a variety of classes, Crossfit, Barbell, Masters +55 (one of the classes I take), Personal training and even Open gym times. Crossfit Kenmore is located near Burke Gilman Trail and a beautiful Park. Hope to see you!

When I walked in, it was a very "Seattle Freeze" community. If you aren't part of the regulars, you're largely ignored. I tried to spark conversations, but it was clear that I was not welcomed by the "regulars". The trainer of the session was very kind, but didn't really explain the terminology of CrossFit for me. So I spent most of my time trying to understand just what I was supposed to be doing. Lastly, I just don't enjoy the "competitiveness" of the classes. It's more about people beating each other's score than it is about self growth. Mind you: I'm an avid fitness enthusiast. I have been working out for over 10 years. I know what I'm doing inside of a gym. I also have been to gym classes. And, by comparison, other gyms have had a far friendlier and inviting atmosphere. Trainers have gone out of their way to introduce newcomers to regulars to help grow their community. This gym seems to cater to the regulars above all else. Sadly, I won't be back. I gave it three classes, but it was the same thing every time. I give it 2 stars because the attitude of the trainers were pleasant. I just wish they knew how to (a) cater to CF newbies better and (b) did more to break the Seattle freeze community here.

When I hear "24 Hour Fitness," I naturally expect the gym to be open 24 hours. However, this location's hours are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends. This may not be an issue for everyone, but it caught me off guard. I showed up to work out at 9 p.m. on a Friday, assuming the gym would be open, only to find it closed and had to drive to the Lynnwood location instead. Other than that, it's a great gym--I just think the name can create some confusion about the actual hours.

Don't believe the newer members who don't notice how disgustingly filthy this place is. THE LEADERSHIP DOES NOT do anything about it and they're lying. This place is absolutely filthy. I have pics to prove it and nothing ever changes. Skin and hair layered on the machines. Filthy saunas. Floors disgusting. Don't take my word for it Go check it out yourself. It's not opinion, it's fact. MACHINES: Outdated and dirty. Gross in fact. Especially upstairs. GARBAGES: Constantly overflowing. BATHROOMS: Dirty. Overflowing garbages, garbage on floor. LEADERSHIP: Poor. Unresponsive. Previous manager was totally checked out and unresponsive. Current leadership-- unresponsive. They do not return messages, acknowledge requests. This place is awful. I keep coming because of the friends I've made, but overall gets a failing grade. I know 7 gyms in the area, and this is, by far, the dirtiest. As a leader of many organizations, I can honestly say this is one of the worst businesses I've ever been involved with. The leaders do not lead with conviction, just excuses. Culture is terrible. What is the ONE thing people care about the most at a gym? Cleanliness. 24hr fitness? An F for failing. They take away paper towel dispensers so the people use less. They seriously don't care. If you care about cleanliness, this is not the place for you. If you can tolerate poor leadership and a filthy environment, then go for it. If the pool and saunas attract you to this gym, just be prepared for dirty areas. It's so bad, people bring their own masking smells. 24-hr Fit screams, "We don't care. But sign up here." The only passing grade are a few employees that actually care, but feel like their hands are tied to actually do something about the problems. Should I add photos from this morning? And it's like this every day

Strength training is always part of my injury recovery process, but I've done a bad job of incorporating it to my workouts. Either I don't lift weights, or I do too much too soon and I'm sore in a way that impacts my running. I've been a member for about a month, and I am really enjoying my workouts at Progressive Performance. Signing up for this gym keeps me accountable to strength training and I'm able to keep running in addition to building strength. More than that, I really appreciate how the trainers took the time to know me, my goals, where I've struggled in the past and are there to guide my workouts. The trainers are super personable, the workouts are a good challenge, and every other member I've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and kind. Oh, and the gym is clean and well-equipped. I'm looking forward to progressing my fitness and strength here!

Then the next month I got hit with a late fee because they REQUIRE your bank account info on file. I then called about the fees and bank info was told a manager would get back to me. No one did. Then I went in person again to update bank info. This employee didn't know how to, so then I left and was told a manager would reach out. No one did. I called multiple times about trying to fix my account and got no where. Then in fall, by this time they hit with a late fee each month since they didn't have a bank account numbers on file, but had my card which I guess to them isn't a valid form of payment to planet fitness which is ridiculous) I was talking to a manager in Katrina I believe her name, she was at least trying to help me get it resolved at first, submitted a refund for my late fees and finally got my bank account numbers resolved, and at least acknowledged that it wasn't fair I was paying 10 more a month for a late fee I don't deserve to pay. I was told by her she would keep me updated but I had to keep calling myself to get updates for over a month in the holidays. Finally again I called myself this week only to find out she's not there anymore, and I had to explain my situation 10th to this new manager, Zack. He explained that the refund was declined and honestly could not of cared more about the almost year of me getting hit with late fee each month because other employees didn't help me or promised to call back and never did so. Let me tell you, he couldn't care less. I asked since planet fitness declined my refund of "late fees" they I don't feel I deserve, can it be applied to my monthly credit. His response, "that's not something we do here" and asked if there's anything else that can be done or I can talk to someone above he said "nope!" WOW. I was a fitness manager for 5 years, I'm just not buying it. He also mentioned "oh well planet fitness refunded you one late fee in June we can't do another" Um, I got NO refund for any fees that I am aware of. And so you guys can do them too. Very condescending tone really did not care at all. 9 months of communication with this place only to get a fat I don't care from the manager. Just so disappointing since I have been a member since before this place even opened and was a presale member. Want a gym that cares about long term members? Keep looking elsewhere!
