    Beautiful reformer studio
    Alexa D.

This is one of my favorite workout studios! The yoga classes are wonderful- the room is slightly heated and they are a good combo of strength and relaxation. I mostly come for performer Pilates, which is challenging but very rewarding and fun! The classes always have a really good energy and I find that the 50 minute class format is perfect. Generally, I go to Rachelle, Viv, or Angela's classes because I love the moves they do and find that they radiate positive energy! It's nice because I'm somewhat new to Pilates, and they all do a great job of describing the moves in a way I can understand and offering one on one coaching when needed. I also like that they ask what areas I want to work on before class and always incorporate them. I'm a big fan of this studio and will keep coming back!

After a baby immediately followed by a pandemic, I found myself in the worst shape of my life. I was miserable and my fitness had hit rock bottom. I was making all sorts of excuses and then one day, a random ad on Instagram caught my eye. Maybe it was desperation, maybe it's because I'm spontaneous, but I couldn't shake it. I signed up for a consultation with PP that moment and instantly felt a sense of commitment. That first step was the hardest - admitting I needed help to get myself back - but I no longer had an excuse. I meant with Jimmy and was emotional as I admitted that I didn't know who I was anymore and acknowledged I didn't even recognize myself - but I felt safe. There was no judgement, but something clicked. I felt an instant connection and a sense of community - I wasn't broken beyond fixing....I wasn't alone on my journey. There was hope! I've been going to PP for about three months now and my only regret is not finding them sooner. The difference is apparent - both physically and mentally. Jimmy, Bryce, Ellen - they are THE best. I look forward to my gym routine - Jimmy holds me accountable and Coach Bryce is so good at pushing me to do my best, always very attentive with providing tips to maximize my workouts. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for the team at Progressive Performance....seriously I feel like a completely different person. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me! However, thanks to Curtis and the PP team, there has been a significant improvement in my posture, physical strength & stamina since my initial evaluation. The best thing about the coaches is that they help correct your form, tailor the plan to focus on the areas that are the weakest for you, and ensure u never unintentionally injure yourself. I have never been a "gym" person, and aimlessly working out without a plan or guidance is not my thing, so I am truly thankful for the support and guidance I get at this place.

The men's locker and bathroom is clean and taken care of, as is the Black Member Lounge perks like massage beds and red light room. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is no room for classes, and only a few people can sign up. I decided to watch the class tonight, so worked out around there. I was horrified. ***This "trainer" is 100% going to get people injured.*** first person is older woman with an arm sleeve obviously some injury. He is dismissive telling her put matt anywhere. doesn't ask about arm or any physical limitations. Starts telling her to do exercises, then walks around not even looking at her. this is a CORE class, he gives zero direction on how not to injure back. A second person shows up and the guy is damn right rude to this man of color. He continues doing the "do this exercise" then looking at his phone or other people. Both people are deconditioned (I hear her say something about this) and having a difficult time with exercises. Rather than offer modifications, he keeps saying "to make it harder do this." Woman seems to know how to modify, and looks kind of disgusted. the man clearly doesn't. 100% this guy is going to have back issue tomorrow. The behavior and lack of professionalism not to mention straight up knowledge make this guy dangerous. do not take classes here.

Don't believe the newer members who don't notice how disgustingly filthy this place is. THE LEADERSHIP DOES NOT do anything about it and they're lying. This place is absolutely filthy. I have pics to prove it and nothing ever changes. Skin and hair layered on the machines. Filthy saunas. Floors disgusting. Don't take my word for it Go check it out yourself. It's not opinion, it's fact. MACHINES: Outdated and dirty. Gross in fact. Especially upstairs. GARBAGES: Constantly overflowing. BATHROOMS: Dirty. Overflowing garbages, garbage on floor. LEADERSHIP: Poor. Unresponsive. Previous manager was totally checked out and unresponsive. Current leadership-- unresponsive. They do not return messages, acknowledge requests. This place is awful. I keep coming because of the friends I've made, but overall gets a failing grade. I know 7 gyms in the area, and this is, by far, the dirtiest. As a leader of many organizations, I can honestly say this is one of the worst businesses I've ever been involved with. The leaders do not lead with conviction, just excuses. Culture is terrible. What is the ONE thing people care about the most at a gym? Cleanliness. 24hr fitness? An F for failing. They take away paper towel dispensers so the people use less. They seriously don't care. If you care about cleanliness, this is not the place for you. If you can tolerate poor leadership and a filthy environment, then go for it. If the pool and saunas attract you to this gym, just be prepared for dirty areas. It's so bad, people bring their own masking smells. 24-hr Fit screams, "We don't care. But sign up here." The only passing grade are a few employees that actually care, but feel like their hands are tied to actually do something about the problems. Should I add photos from this morning? And it's like this every day

I met Dawn while networking with local massage therapists through LinkedIn. We decided to have coffee and talk about our wonderful profession. I was immediately impressed with Dawn's knowledge and passion. We decided that we would like to receive massages from each other to get a better understanding of our respective bodywork. I get a good amount of massage and have some truly gifted trade partners so I was pretty overwhelmed when Dawn presented a solution to one of my lingering body issues from years as a professional fighter, within 15 minutes of entering her office! At one point during my first session I was actually almost moved to tears (yes, big boys do cry from time to time) just because of being able to believe again that I could solve a persistent hip/knee issue without surgery. It also made me even more cognizant of my role in helping my clients hold on to or regain hope in their recovery journeys. Although Dawn is truly multi-faceted and has studied many styles of massage, I would describe her primary work as structural integration, like Hellerwork in many ways. Dawn also provides exercise therapy and can give anyone a better understanding of how their body is designed to work and then help them get it working better. I highly recommend a visit to dawn if you have body pain that you want to be free of or if you just want to get your body in better alignment and functionality.

Let me start by saying this isn't my first time trying Crossfit…read more I was introduced to Crossfit by my husband who's a big enthusiast, and we first went to a gym when we were living in California, people were nice enough but everyone seemed to do everything like a pro and I felt pretty discouraged that I wasn't at that level yet, so my first Crossfit experience lasted a couple of months. Then at the beginning of this year, I decided to give it another shot at Crossfit Bothell. The first thing that was different was the fact that I joined their foundations class, where I learned what each movement and each exercise was supposed to look like, and ways to scale it down in case I couldn't do that yet. Another thing is the coaches are SO. NICE. We usually go in the evenings, and all of our coaches: Andrew, Peter, Rodrigo and Lincoln are the best. They push you when you need to be pushed, but it's always done in a nice and friendly way, and they encourage you to scale down when needed. They also have olympic weightlifting classes, Lincoln teaches this class on Tuesdays and Fridays, and while I was a bit hesitant at first, now I'm a big fan. We've made a lot of friends at Crossfit, it's now been 10 months and I can see myself staying in Crossfit Bothell for a long time. Tips: go the foundations class, and if, like me, you like working out with your partner, ask for the couples membership!

I occasionally show up at Bellevue club. I was a college and professional tennis athlete a long time ago. Still, because of the great attitudes of the people working here I am now going with my mom and my sister next Monday. Even if this class sucks (which I know it doesn't), I would still be positive about OTB because of the amazing employees I have only interacted with at arm's distance.

I joined Orange Theory Fitness in January, and it has been great workout wise. Most (not all)…read morecoaches and front desk staff are super nice and helpful. Few policies the studio has are very hard to maintain like cancelling classes 8 hours in advance - otherwise $15 penalty, no show penalty of $15 due to sickness etc. I was sick couple days and front desk said they will look into it, but I was still charged. I was pretty much charged extra on top of monthly fee (~$220 for unlimited) every month because of plan changes or sickness etc. I let go all these inconveniences because I liked the studio vibe and workout was effective for me. What pushed me over the edge is an incidence where the coach was extremely rude and disrespectful because I was 5 mins late. I entered the room; coach Jenifer rolled her eyes at me (is this a high-school drama!!) and then was extremely rude to me saying I need to leave the room. She didn't need to be so disrespectful! She could convey the same message nicely and respectfully. I am paying $220/month and including penalties every month easily it goes beyond $235 - she is not doing a charity! I am old enough not to tolerate this kind of behavior - I am not a kid; she is not my mom or teacher! I would rather spend my money where I get good workout AND am respectfully treated. I don't know if she would have treated the same way if I weren't a people of color. I was very disappointed in the fact that I didn't get to do my workout as well because I was late by 6 mins. I understand that the studio has rules about warm up and that is very much appreciated. - However, I could still have done 5 mins warm-up by myself on the floor (or on treadmill or rowing machine) after I reached and start my workout after that. But I wasn't allowed. I could still have done 49 mins of workout instead of 55 mins. This is nothing against the coaches/front desk, but very stringent studio/corporate policy. - Nobody wants to be late and lose money/time for no reason. I drove 20+20 40 mins for nothing and also paid for the class. This is just way too big of a time wastage and penalty. This is my first time ever in 6 months coming in late. - I am specially disappointed because making time with 2 little kids, bed-ridden mother-in-law and full-time job is already very hard as is. And on top, because of 5 mins delay you make us go back home. Not everyone is fortunate enough to live a smooth life where planning ahead for the week just works. So, I felt this gym definitely is not for me with so many strict rules and regulations, specially where I am not treated with respect. I value my dignity. I do want to add that the studio manager was very thoughtful about listening to my points which is very much appreciated.
