I checked out Hotworx this weekend as part of a contrast therapy session, a partnership they are…read moredoing with Arctic Bath & Coffee, located right next door in the same plaza. Basically, you get to do a heated workout in the infrared saunas at Hotworx and follow it up with a cold plunge at Arctic Bath & Coffee after. What a rush! Heated workouts aren't my favorite, as I usually get a little lightheaded, but the friendly team at Hotworx talked me through the info and let me know that I could just take a breather if the heated workout was too much. Your time in the sauna is your time, so you spend it how you need to. I tried the hot yoga, where up to three people can do yoga side by side. You have to use their Hotworx mats and towels, but they had plenty to utilize. They also had foam rollers available, which was a nice touch. The other sauna choices had things like row machines and stationary bikes, and I thought it was cool that you could do workouts like that in the saunas. I may try the rowing next time. They also have a free weights gym area in the middle of the facility, and anyone at Hotworx can use it while they are there. It's a members only studio, so the main door is locked unless you have your member access. You just book the session you want (or as many as you want) and head in to get a great workout! I highly recommend trying out the fire and ice combo they are doing with Arctic Baths next door. It's so rejuvenating to get in an awesome sweat at Hotworx and instantly cool down your body (literally) in a cold plunge right after. And the teams at both businesses couldn't be nicer.

The specific classes targeting the different muscle groups were excellent. Intense workouts (or you could take it easier if you wish) with wonderful targeted exercises. They also had a ton of classes throughout the day. I speak in the past tense only because I'm almost positive this place closed down, unfortunately.

I love Circuit & Triple Threat ..stations is ok but I definitely don't burn as many calories as the other formats. You are given a heart rate monitor so you can track your progress and after class you get a breakdown of your heart rate throughout class. This really motivates you to push yourself!!! The instructors are great at providing demonstrations and pushing you to do your best. The only downside is it took a few weeks of going there before anyone explained the heart rate monitor and how to use it to achieve your goals. Other than that I really recommend coming here if you want a good sweat session!

I have been going twice a week now since September and I am starting to see and feel my efforts pay off. I have lost 5lbs and I have increased my endurance on the treadmill. I typically do the evening 5:30lm class and/or a Saturday morning class and I love all the coaches! The coaches are really great about making sure you're doing the floor exercises properly and they provide clear explain actions of the exercises. I really love that I am able to get a TOTAL body workout in just under an hour; which makes this really easy to incorporate into my life. I can't say enough good things about the Orangetheory program, the coaches and staff. I would highly recommend giving this a try if you struggle with finding motivation to go to the gym on a regular basis. They have a wide range of class times available to fit just about anyones schedule.
