This is a great nature preserve to visit in the middle of St Pete! We saw many birds, native plants…read moreand baby alligators huddling in a nest! It's was incredible. We took the mile long loop, that meandered a very natural area of native Florida plants and trees. We loved the rustic, natural feel of the park with clearly marked trails. $3.00 to get in at the visitors center that is pretty cool to look at, too! Don't forget the rescued birds just outside the visitor center.

Going to try Northshore Park as I have heard they do a better job of keeping it clean there. Too bad, Crescent Lake is a beautiful park otherwise.

This is definitely my favorite park ever!…read more  It's filled with greens, flowers, orchids to be specific, a large walkway, volleyball and tennis courts, and so many benches and areas for you to walk or simply relax.  As I was walking around here I even saw a small family gather for their kids' wedding! One of my favorite playgrounds in Tampa bay…read more This is what you do for a half day on a weekend. We park at the parking lot that is closest to playground. It's the first one you come up upon on your left when you're driving down the street. We put in for three hours of parking which comes out to $7.35. We walk to the playground and while the kids play, I go to the outside bar and grab two skinny margaritas, which are very reasonably priced. Then we go to Doc Ford's or another restaurant close by for a meal. And then depending how crazy the kids are, we may take them back to the playground. This is such a fun place for the kids, half of it is shaded with a canopy and half of it is shaded by trees which means it's hit or miss whether the play equipment is shaded. I highly recommend putting on sunscreen. It is close to a small beach and splash pad also so you can walk amongst the three if it gets really hot. There's an area for younger kids 2 to 5 and the other part is for kids 5 to 12. Bring cardboard because kids like to sit on the cardboard and ride down a tiny hill that's there. Usually though there is cardboard left by other kids, but if you go first thing in the morning, you should be the people that bring the cardboard. It can be pretty crowded. All the kids seem to get along and my kids who are five and seven have an absolute blast year every time. I highly recommend.

This is my favorite park in St. Petersburg…read more The Gorgeous Pink "Vinoy" across the street from the Park gives it a unique Deco Vibe & lovely vintage upscale feel. It's also across the street from one of my favorite restaurants. La vie en rose! OuiOui. The views are spectacular of the bay, in the early morning fog, with the Vinoy in the backdrop, it is reminiscent of a 1930's epic Hollywood movie set. One of the most romantic places to take a stroll with the one you love or just by yourself.. A perfect place to ponder, watch the boats go by. The decorations at Christmas were gorgeous this past year. It is just a completely magical place indeed. Added to moi lists of the most romantic places & moi list of most zen places & peaceful parks. They have a few observation decks and one very tall three story observation tower. You cannot fish from the bridges but I seen a ton of fish in the shallows.
