This is a great crossfit gym. Mike is an energetic and friendly coach who makes the warmups and workouts engaging and fun. I appreciated the tips during the movements, and in general the programming is great. The people here are also really nice and welcoming. Crossfit Norwalk isn't the closest box to me but it's definitely worth the drive. read more

As a 45 year old woman whom had never tried CrossFit I was beyond nervous heading into my first class. I was hooked from day1! The instructors are not only welcoming, fit and extremely knowledgeable but they also are consistently focused on safe form for each individual. I've been going for almost three months now about 5 days per week and I haven't repeated the same Workout twice so boredom is NOT an issue. I've been coming to CFN for three years, i started after meeting a very friendly non soliciting guy who I now know as Mike Sabato, the classes are group or you can work on your own, the facility has expanded from a powerful shoebox to a huge facility to where CFN now resides, I know everyone by name as they do me, the knowledge and enthusiasm is as far as you want to take it, it's a very energetic environment and non intimidating for those who are new. read more

The best gym I've ever been to or belonged to! The Coaches are great. Group setting but they all take time to help correct your form so that you train safely and make the progress in your fitness goals you are aiming for. Class schedule is really accommodating. From 5am to 7:30 pm weekdays and great weekend hours as well. Baby sitting available in some classes and do their part in community service with WODs for multiple causes. And last....the members, there's always someone to support and cheer you on when you think you can't finish or just need that extra push to get through that last round! read more

Place is very big, so I expected it to have a lot more equipment, also walls were white (not the best color for wall balls made the place seem very run down and had a big hole in the middle) Could def use some work, equipment and look wise Stopped in first week of July- for a drop in to see if I would want to make it my new box- do not recommend And overall you can tell saving money is a priority, they use plastic laundry buckets for clamps and you just stack the plates in a pile, very unorganized and not appealing read more

Take this review for whatever it's worth. It was on my 'get post baby bum back into shape' list. I know guys who are addicted to CFit. Let's just say it's not for me. Not only couldn't I do the burpees all across the stinky floor, the kettlebell swinging almost knocked my already aching back out of line. I just wasn't into the whole group thing/partner. Guess I'm a loner. I like my workouts alone. Like I said, my review is absolutely worthless. It just wasn't my thing. I do advise asking for a free trial class before trying. read more

Crossfit Norwalk has become my therapist. I walked into this box 6 months ago and I don't think I'll ever leave. Every time you step through the door one of the coaches greets you by your name...EVERY TIME! I felt welcomed from day 1 and if you fast forward to 6 months I feel incredible, incorporated the Paleo diet into my daily life and quickly dropped body fat and gained muscle. Instruction on movements and exercises are taught every class, coaches are always there to help you figure out how to scale the workout to meet your capabilities and goals your looking to reach. Can't say enough great things about each coach. They care about everyone and want to help you perform at your highest ability. As once a skeptic of crossfit I can confidently say Crossfit Norwalk is a safe environment to conquer the fitness goals you have always dreamed of. After turning 50 and feeling miserable about my physical condition, I knew that I had to do something right away. I was somewhat familiar with Crossfit and had few doubts that it would be effective, but I was reluctant to join because I was afraid that I would feel inferior, out-of-place, and not be able to keep up with the rest of the members. When I learned that Crossfit Norwalk offered a 6-week closed group for beginners, I knew that I had to step outside of my comfort zone and give it a try. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The owner herself coached the beginner class (outstanding people in the same boat as me) and familiarized us with all of the basic movements and workouts, as well as the structure of the Crossfit workout. I lost pounds and inches in all of the right places, increased my strength, and added muscle. Most importantly, I felt confident enough to join the regular classes and now going to Crossfit Norwalk is a huge part of my life. Susan (the owner), and coaches Mike & Gilbert are amazing and true professionals. They greet you by name every single time you walk in, they take the time to make sure you are getting what you need, and that you are doing it RIGHT. They will help scale and adjust any weight/workout/movement to fit your needs and ability. The other members/athletes at CFN come in all shapes and sizes- young/old, male/female, very fit/not as fit, but it doesn't matter because when that whistle blows we all get to work and when it's done there are high-fives all around. I have NEVER once felt out-of-place. The support and encouragement from every person there is truly appreciated. For me, the very best thing about Crossfit Norwalk is that I don't have to think about or plan anything. There is a game plan every single time I show up. The coaches take everyone through warm-ups, go over that day's movements in detail, make adjustments for whomever needs any, fully explain the workout of the day (WOD), and then the fun begins! I walked in as a complete beginner with anxiety that I would be looked at / made fun of, and was completely blown away! The people here are super friendly and the trainers are motivating. I get antsy not being able to go when I travel for work, and it's something I look forward to at the end of my days at the office. I came here after years of going to my local gym. I stuck to the treadmill due to fear and anxiety of looking stupid with weights. I took a chance on crossfit beginners program and it has changed everything. Not only am I getting closer to my weight goal but I'm stronger and happier. Everyone there is so nice and encouraging. My favorite part is that we are all doing the same workout. I might be at 35 pounds and the person next to me at 125 but we are both grinding it out sweating and catching our breath together. We are a team. Sometime you get a "you can do it" from across the room and u keep going. I'm proud to be apart of Crossfit Norwalk. Come try it out!! read more
