I've was a member for almost 3 years, until recently. I cancelled my membership on April 10, 2026. Prior to me cancelling my membership, I experienced something that no one should have to experience. I had finished my workout and I was changing back into my regular clothes. I had left my shirt hanging on a rack in the locker room. I was reaching for my shirt and I noticed that something had been left in one of my shirt pockets. I didn't see anyone standing around, so I cautiously reached inside my pocket and pulled the item out. To say I was disgusted at the vile item that I pulled out. I would have been less disturbed had I pulled out a noose. Someone had stuffed one of the brown paper towels used to wipe the equipment after use. Whomever had left the paper towels, also left a message for me on the paper towel. The vile individual took time to use the bathroom and wipe their butt, that's right, that vile and filthy individual defecated, wiped his a$$ with the paper towels and then stuffed the paper towel in my shirt pocket. I reported the incident to the director. I was told the matter would be investigated, but I know how that will go. People of color, if you have a membership at the Y, I'm not telling you to give it up. I'm telling you to watch your sorroundings and be alert.

For helping me in a situation with my stuff being stolen. The staff worked extra hard in locating my items as well as sticking around to see if I was okay. 10/10 customer service! Olamide walked around the building even, and the other man drove around in his car looking for my items, Averi was diligently cleaning while keeping an eye out for my bag. And the other lady was making sure everyone involved was okay as well as helping the officers with their investigation. Thank you guys so much!!

I have called the local office multiple times, the last two being August and November of 2024. He finally had to close out the checking account they were charging every month since he moved to stop from continuing to be charged. Now they have threatened to turn him over to collections. I called again today, both the corporate number and the local gym number. They still refuse to cancel the membership over the phone. I was told by Taryn that he either has to drive 3-1/2 hours to so it in person, or write a letter (postage and an envelope, really?) I rarely post or do reviews, but i am posting in the hopes of preventing others being a victim of this predatory business practice and having to endure the hassle.
