They have things for senior citizens. They have groups for singles and for families. They are very community orientated and they will be there for their members. There are several different Sunday school classes for the kids, from a toddler class, to teen…read moregroup, daycare, etc. Everyone is kind and always greets you by name when you come. I'm new to coming to church and was even given my own Bible on my first day. It's easy to make friends within the church without even reaching out, they seem to come to you. Also, they still read hymns from the book! Old fashioned and lovely.

We couldn't participate fully as the congregation sang this or that, or responded with this or that, but no instruction was given re where to look in the hymnal or wherever so that we COULD participate. Someone in the front row wasn't singing enough for this priest, and he - very loudly - pointed to her and announced that she was to be singing now!!!! Who DOES that to a grieving family member? Shameful behavior. There were other rudenesses which the family told us about later, and it just made the whole day that much harder on the entire family. Lovely sanctuary, but my goodness.....a church IS the people, and this man was not a good representative for Christ that day.

(But I think that's just me in my old age!) Very nice and loud music. Actually did not need my hearing aids turned up to much to get what was being sung. Same comment on Priest and scripture readers as all are wearing microphones and broadcasting on a PA system. Deaf.... they have that covered.... they had a gentleman signing the entire mass off to the side near the back.... Good turn out... again I am old school and long to hear mass in Latin again but this kept the younger ones very much involved and appears to work in this parish!

I have had an opportunity to work with them on several outreach projects and I've worked closely with one of their ordained men. In a time when Americans and churches are turning inward, Monroe Outreach Assembly of God is reaching out to make a difference for the kingdom. I recently attended their pastor appreciation week service. I picked the right week to visit: there was a luncheon afterward with great food, and I got to mingle and get to know some people, including the guest preacher. The church building is a beautiful old church with stained glass windows and old (but comfortable) pews. This is a small congregation: about 50 members a week attend this service, so if you're looking for a small church to settle down in, this one may be worth checking out.

We love architecture, we love art, and we are people of faith. We find a peace in going to these beautiful structures dedicated to the divine. Cathedral Queen of the Holy Rosary is truly exquisite. It is a large cathedral done in Spanish Plateresque style and was done with Toledo, Spain in mind. In order to tour the church, we got permission from the church offices which are located in the adjoining Rosary Cathedral Catholic School. We were truly grateful to tour this awe-inspiring church!
