I have some nagging sports injuries from a million years ago and a fair amount of stress in my life. I try and get a massage whenever I can and I have tried a few places in the Kenosha area and a couple in Milwaukee. Most of them were not great. Beth at Bettina's is the best masseuse I have found in S.E. Wisconsin. She is skilled, friendly, and professional. Her studio is upstairs of a salon but it is certainly not an afterthought. The room is comfortable, clean, and inviting. There are a few things that make a good masseuse. They have to have the skill and strength to straighten out kinks even in big guys like me. They have to be affordable. They have to be able to listen and try and help you achieve relief where you want it. And finally, they have to be professional and courteous. Beth is all of these things. She listens and tries to relieve pain where you have it. She does not talk your ear off the entire massage. She lets you relax. She is friendly and easy to chat with if you are someone who wants to chat during a massage. Lastly, her rates are not cheap but they are certainly affordable and definitely competitive with other massage locations in the area. I have been to Bettina's a few times and I will go back.

Intake and appointment scheduling is very easy. The front desk staff people are friendly and professional. The therapists are top notch. They know what they're doing and are happy to explain what's happening in the body, why it's causing pain, and how various exercises will help with healing, mobility and range of motion. I've been seeing Shamshir at the 75th St. facility by Pick and Save. She's amazing. I cannot believe how much my elbow pain has subsided, and how much my range of motion has improved. An added bonus, she's a friendly and interesting person! I don't love being in pain and needing therapy. But, I am happy to have found Athletico. Highly recommend!

He was impressed by the fact that they were able to figure out what was actually causing his pain and how to address it. We are hoping that this will help him avoid surgery. The ONLY bad thing, which is why we didn't give a perfect rating, is that they will tell you what to do and walk away and work with someone else. I think that they should stay and make sure that they are doing the exercises correctly and not leave someone alone. I don't know if they are understaffed or if this is just their process, but I've had physical therapy in the past at 2 different businesses and was never left alone at either one.
