Flexible Scheduling. Dr. Kaplan listened well when I was going through some difficulties. I have never felt rushed. He also had suggestions for my TMJ. When I have a headache, mostly from arthritis , his adjustments resolve that. He does not just approach a problem with ordering a pain medication. read more

Dr Kaplan will passionately take the time to explain your X-rays and conditions as complex as they may be in a way that was simple enough to comprehend. He adjust very carefully and will likely prescribe simple exercises that we take for granted and has helped tremendously. There is also a great deal, for $300 you can get 10 visits I believe. I cant even out into words how amazing Dr. Kaplan is! He saved me! I had the worst pain in the world in my back and had no idea what it was. It went from my rib area in the back to my shoulder. I couldnt even think it hurt so bad. My wife made a suggestion to see a Chiropractor and get Xrays. I made a appointment with Dr. Kaplan today and cane in same day. He did Xrays then got to work. He told me it was a Rib that was out of place. He worked his magic, I felt 5 ribs pop on that side and boom the pain started to decrease 5 minutes after. Im now at home and completely pain free! First I would like to start this review off with the good things about this business. The chiropractor Dr. Steven Kaplan, is a very educated and knowledgeable doctor when it comes to his profession. He made me feel comfortable, and safe in his care. The office staff and text reminders were extremely helpful as well. Moving on to the cons, I purchased a Groupon and this was my first time to the chiropractor. With that being said this office was close to my place of business in Bellevue however no where near where I lived. It was easy to access after work. However I didn't realize the adjustment appointments I paid for were 10 minutes only. The doctor moves very quickly, you feel like you are being pushed out the door before you even get in. Kaplan is super pushy with scheduling appointments as if his practice is the only thing that matters. I was in the middle of moving and needed to reschedule my appointment because the drive was too far for a 10 minute appointment. He then never texted when my appointment was and wrote my appointment as a loss. This is extremely disappointing, I will not be returning. read more

(Found this place through a friend's recommendation and at the same time a Groupon's deal.) I came in with a finicky sciatica nerve and lower back spasm that I'd been dealing for the past 10 months. I had to stop doing Zumba and BodyPump that I love so much because they would just exacerbate the pain. Though yoga and Pilates helped alleviate the pain, I knew that I had to do more from the inside (structure). Being a scientific nerd (who were born into a family of docs but never wanting to see one), Dr. Kaplan walked me through my X-ray and the "recovery plan" in the way that I was actually understanding and excited. His cheery yet professional demeanor puts me at ease right away. It's been 5 months since my first visit. My weekly adjustment visits have since reduced to a visit in every 3-4 weeks!! My lower back and sciatica pain hardly bother me anymore. Thanks to the regular adjustment treatments and the daily stretch exercises that he recommended. I need to highlight the fact no medications were used throughout the treatment. Which is another PLUS for the only natural-treatment me. If you're ready to get rid of the pain and start moving again like me, make that first step and ring Dr. Kaplan's office. (The front office staff is always nice and helpful, too, by the way. If I am not mistaken her name is Jessica.) My initial appointment lasted about 40 minutes, the follow up visits usually takes about 15 minutes. Dr. Kaplan was my chiropractor for the last year, and I couldn't have functioned without his twice monthly adjustments. I feel like a million bucks every time I walk out of his practice, and I've referred a couple of my friends to him as well. If you have chronic pain, having a great chiropractor like Dr. Kaplan close by is a huge asset. Recently I pulled a shoulder tendon while unloading wood, which resulted in a mild pain and some tingling in my fingers. A friend recommended me to Dr. Kaplan. I related to him the causative incident and that the pain was around a level 2, on a scale of 0 to 10. He proceeded to take two xays, and to administer a shoulder massage, a neck and torso pop (excuse me... a manipulation) and after the third visit, and feeling no better, I canceled what appeared to be a plan for infinite treatments. Dr. Kaplan did not ascertain that my insurance covered the process, so now I am billed for the full amount of $200 +. (I also take responsibility for not checking beforehand.) Folks, think it over carefully, before you follow the crowd. Chiropractic may have some valid benefits, but in a lot of applications, it is hardly what it is presented to be. read more

I got introduced to Chriopractic care 20 years ago after a car accident but then never needed it again until my late 30 ies when the wear from office work combined with tear from playing soccer started catching up to me. I was very lucky to find a great Chiropractor in the bay area whose comprehensive program with nutiritional classes and different froms of treatment I enjoyed for 2 years. His maintenance plan helped me be healthier and maintain a full range of mobility. After moving to Seattle and not taking care of myself well, I quickly develped stiffness and back pain again. I tried one other place last year in Bellevue and was not very impressed with the overall experience. After calling a well reviewed place in Redmond and getting a sense they did not want new patients I found Dr Kaplan through Groupon and the low introductory cost made it compelling to give him a try. I have now had 4 sessions with him so far and am glad I did choose him. I like his very efficient and straightforward approach both with treatment and how he handles the business side of things. I went there for a quick 15 minute appointment. My insurance paid them $130 and I paid my $20 copay. I was then repeatedly sent an additional bill for $50 every day for over a week. I was attempting to talk to my insurance to see if this was correct before I paid it. When I finally spoke to my insurance they said that even though I met my deductible and chose a chiropractor in network, that his rates still fell within my needing to pay the additional $50. I'm still perplexed how anyone could be paid $150 in network for a 15 minute appointment. I just mailed the additional $50 two days ago and just now got yet another $50 bill in the mail. It's so odd. He's now been paid $200 for 15 minutes. Never again will I go there. And I don't think I've ever written a review positive or negative about anyone. This is just soooo annoying. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a chiropractic exam, wellness exam, and 60-minute deep tissue massage for Crossroads Chiropractic a couple months ago. I'm new to the Seattle area, have had chronic lower back issues since a skiing accident six years ago, and desperately need to find a new chiropractor as I had been seeing my previous chiropractor nearly once a month before moving to Seattle. I called in to book my appointment and was absolutely appalled at the service I received. The man who answered the phone immediately became rude and condescending when I told him I had hoped to redeem the Groupon. He told me for my needs I should probably just find a salon that does only massages, even after I told him I would be interested in getting the exam as well. I was not even given an opportunity to explain my situation before he HUNG UP ON ME. I understand Dr. Kaplan may not have been pleased with the return he got from running the Groupon, but regardless, I would never want to see a doctor who cared so little about potential new patients and could be so blatantly rude to someone interested in helping out his small business. He judged me solely on the fact that I discovered his business through Groupon, rather than considering my medical history before denying me his services. I am truly disappointed and I WILL NOT be considering Crossroads Chiropractic in the future. read more

I am your classic uninformed, over educated back pain patient who has never been to a chiropractor before (ever). Being a total newbie/greenhorn/wimp, I tried to be as well-informed as I could and consulted all the usual suspects (Yelp, Angie's list, Insurance listings) and lucked out finding Dr. Steven Kaplan at Crossroads Chiropractic Center (across from Crossroads Mall). Dr Kaplan is friendly and very professional, and best of all he is a caring provider. I am a grumpy, demanding old-guy with really bad back pain who doesn't like walking around with a crutch (who does). Dr Kaplan put me at ease the moment I walked through door. He explained everything he was doing and he was most generous with his time (and also sensitive to my needs). When the manipulation was uncomfortable, he modified it to reduce the discomfort. At one point he even gave me an ice bag out of his freezer that was much better than the one I bought at the pharmacy. He taught me about back exercises and core strengthening and listened patiently to my whining. He even called me to see how I was doing early on in the treatments. After 15 visits I am really much better (no more crutches or pain pills)! I understand completely why it takes awhile to accomplish the "magic" of chiropractic adjustment. This is something a doctor could never do with pills. He is GREAT (The Best) and I strongly recommend him for your chiropractic needs. read more

Have to say that I've been visiting Dr. Kaplan for years and have been helped with regard to sciatica (no longer a problem), back and neck pain (car accident and fall) and relief of carpal tunnel. The receptionists/office managers through the years have been professional and personable and have been committed and loyal. Presently Jessica always is cheeful and pleasant and quite compassionate. Julie, massage therapist, is knowledgeable and did a good job on my first appointment. Dr Kaplan is fully committed, professional and very kind and encouraging. He is experienced in many areas and has always been ethical and personable. He knows his patients by name, and always is concerned and inquires if you are doing the proper stretching and exercising, etc. Good to be treated like a real person rather than a "case", a "number" or relative to $$$. It is in a convienient location, easy parking and hours. I am thankful for Dr Kaplan and his practice. He does work with you with respect to insurance coverage and copays.
