Visited another Crossroads in an attempt to sell some items. This location tends to be busier, imo, than the Market St location. Recommend arriving at opening if you want to sell and avoid longer queues. Arrived right at opening on a Sunday and there was one other person ahead. Fill out you info on a tablet to the left when you come in and they will call your name or text you when it's your turn. Had about two bags and it took about 15 min for then to go through it. Shopped around the store while waiting. Smaller than Market St but has a solid selection. I personally didn't get anything but someone else in my group did. Also was able to make a couple successful sales! Recommended credit over cash as you get more selling value. read more

Arguably the trendiest of all the Crossroads in the city, this one boasts all sorts of second hand clothes and shoes that you'll see hipsters young and old, male and female. Top brands aren't cheap but easily 50% off if you buy it retail, and some of the clothes still have tags on them. Friendly service at the changing station and the changing rooms are neat enough to take off your shoes. ; ) read more

This was my first time thrifting in SF. They have good stuff the prices are pretty fair because a lot of it is in really good condition. I would rather pay a little more so the staff could have a better wage anyways. Crossroads was the only store I went to, but I found a couple purses I liked. I even found a Portland leather purse which is a brand I've been wanting and couldn't afford to buy full price. I recently brought about 20 beautiful designer clothing items to Crossroads Consignment, many of them brand new with tags and easily worth over $2,000 retail. I was honestly shocked when I was offered only $87 for everything. The offer felt extremely undervalued considering the quality, condition, and brands I brought in. I understand consignment stores need to make a profit, but the pricing did not reflect the true value of the items at all. If you have higher-end or designer pieces, I would honestly recommend selling your items yourself on platforms like Poshmark instead -- you'll likely receive a much fairer return for your clothing. Just my experience, but I left feeling disappointed and undervalued as a seller. read more

This is the type of thrift store that has incredible brands and gems, but you have to dig and come by the store often to find them. I never write reviews but I feel like I had to because of how crazy HOT it was inside this store today. Absolutely insane. Couldnt stop talking with other people shopping in the store about how humid it was and we all felt bad for these employees who had no choice but to endure how hot it was in this store. While still smiling and visibly sweating and kept on apologizing for the heat which is the only reason I am even giving two stars. Store gave me the wrong amount of cash according to the pay out. I called the next day to let them know. They were adamant about their end of day cash in the cash register didn't have any discrepancy. 1 of 2 things could have happened: either the cashier counted wrong or cash is disappearing into thin air. I can respect an honest mistake but they said they 'review footage' on camera and noted the # of bills which matched the # of bills I have but the bills I received were smaller. If they said the number of bills were +1 more than I have then I would accept that as accurate but this is not the case. They also mentioned they count cash at the end of the day and if the accounting is as a good as they describe then I suppose cash is disappearing into thin air? I remember the conversation vividly because she didn't have the coins for my payout, she gave me an extra bill and gave me a wink. I think it was just to distract and have me agree to it and walk away. I put the cash in my pocket and noticed it when I got home it was the wrong amount. Just a note of caution to always pay attention to the cash count back AND ask for a receipt, which I conveniently was not given one. read more

Bought and Sold at crossroads for over 10 years and a loyal customer and gone to many. This is by far the worst service ever. The lady in the front was extremely rude and short with everybody. Will not be returning back to this location. The staff is really disgusting in the way they treat their people which is unfortunate because the management has been so nice in the past. Saw the low reviews lately and didn't understand until now. Sad because it's such a great location but sadly useless. Theft. I am a huge proponent of 'never assume, there's usually an explanation' but this experience left me furious and is beyond. Crossroads employees robbed me. I was a fashion designer in my 20s and am now a stylist in both SF & Palo Alto. When I work for boutiques, I often take trade in designer wares. My wardrobe is stellar but gets outta control every few yrs. I usually sell online or take it to designer resale shops, but I had to move from my apt ASAP, other high stressors, and 0 time --so I took three 16x16" boxes of clothing to Crossroads. Several ppl were in front of me, I couldn't wait. I insured my name was on boxes corresponding with forms and reminded the employees to plz make sure to I get unwanted items back! I missed my 'pickup unwanteds' date so I knew those clothes were gone, but when I went in several months later and asked abt my credit I hit the roof and and lost my ah*t. "We took 2 items, you have a $32 credit". 2 items?! Size 4 Theory, BCBG runway, dr Martens, Betsy Johnson, BananaR with tags, August Silk, Aventure des Toile etc and you took 2 pieces? I saw a manager; I wrote headquarters, but nada. A polite 'Sorry' and 'Maybe your style didn't fit the Crossroads aesthetic' is all I got. Really? You mean the black synthetic sweater that's lightly pilling right over here gets a hanger but not my Paul Frank like new blouse? No, the clothing never had the chance to meet crossroads criteria because it made an indefinite pit stop in someone's closets. Speculation is one thing, but 3 boxes filled with top label in good shape made me want to vomit. I didn't even find anything worth buying with my credit. I'll never step foot in there again Advice: Put in cameras and have your employees inbox and price the drop offs there without leaving frame! read more

Did you know Crossroads Trading Co. annual revenue is currently $107.7M per a year. Always passed by this location but never made it inside the store. My girlfriend came here on Sunday to sell some of her clothes. She had Fear of Gods, Zara, Nike, Kith brands. And it was barley used so it was in a good condition. So the people that worked here are all Gen Z, they all looked like they hated their jobs. The staff needs to be trained and learn to have some customer service. They were racists as well and very rude and disrespect to my girlfriend. The Gen Z staff that went through the 2 bags of clothes didn't find anything they liked. I wonder how they choose the clothes and what type of clothes for consignment. I understand companies needs to make profit and keep their business going. They did make $107.7Million last year, maybe train your employees on providing better customer service. Or this store and your company will just be another statistics in the city closing down. Thank goodness they had a waitlist on the website, or else my girlfriend would of wasted her time at this store. I suggest no one shops here anymore, there are lots of consignment and antique stores that would provide better customer service. read more

Terrible seller experience. When I arrived and checked in on the iPad, there was only one person ahead of me in line so I didn't think it would take long. I only had one small bag of things to sell. I was told I would receive a text message, and to return WITHIN 15 MINUTES of receiving the text to keep my place in line. I walked around the store without leaving for almost an hour, then decided to walk around on the block and look out for the text message. When I received the text message, I was definitely back in the store within ONE MINUTE but my spot had been given away to the person next in line. It took well over 90 minutes on a Monday just to have my one bag reviewed. The guys at the reg are arrogant jerks. Not a good experience at all. read more

Crossroads has really gone down hill. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that they are franchised. Firstly, the store really does not smell great. The staff are also not very friendly and look pretty disheveled. In my past experiences at Crossroads the floor has looked more organized. It's outrageous that they would offer less than 10.00 for someone's 80+ pleather skirt. I am curious as to how they decide the price points. While I understand that the staff have certain criteria's I do not feel it is necessary to re pack items unwanted by shoving them and breaking the bags I brought in that were very organized. Overall experience does not leave me with any urge to re visit this location to sell or buy. read more

I waited for an hour as 3 employees went through other people consignment clothes. They had a leisurely good time while people waited in line. They chatted away often about their weekend, every day stuff while taking their time, often stopping to review process. It was like watching paint dry. After an hour I asked how much longer the wait would be and was told that I was next and it would take another 30 minutes. With 3 people doing the intake. Fortunately, it was Sunday and parking was free (usually around $7 on Fillmore St, if parking is found at all). Complete disrespect for other people's time. I will be donating to the Salvation Army and get a tax write off. This was the store on Flllmore st Bush St. In Lower Pacific Heights. I left and won't be back. read more

Very mixed feelings about this location. I have bought and sold clothes here many times and the experience is always different, mostly unpleasant. The staff doesn't really pay attention to you and they are always chatting with each other, ignoring customers. You have to chase them down in order to try clothes on... Selling clothes: It's always a long wait, but recently I started joining the waitlist through their app. HIGHLY recommend. I started as 7th in line, but I think a few people were no-shows, and I was helped an hour or so later. I always bring about 1-2 large bags or suitcases and they never pick out more than 2-5 items. It's a little bit disappointing after waiting ages. I have been here a few times where they have bought 0 or only 1 of my items. I ALWAYS have better luck at other locations. Buying clothes: This location used to be my favorite for office wear/casual clothes, but I feel like, after COVID, the store has shifted its style. However, it's always worth checking out what's behind the counter. They have some great luxury items. In the past, I have bought cute Kate Spade purses and Doc Martin shoes. The dressing rooms are kind of dirty / always dusty. I wish they had a small bench or stool inside to make trying clothes on easier. read more

Eh, this place is hit or miss for me. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and sometimes I come out with bags full of clothes and other times not. It happens. Their customer service isn't always the best either. I feel like they talk down to you sometimes which makes me feel uncomfortable so I end up leaving without anything. My wife said the girl who helped her said they don't want the purses because she didn't think they were real. Just because my wife is black its like this employee thought she stole the purses. My wife felt really discriminated so she called the store to complain. I told her she should put a review on Yelp but she wanted to call. The manager she talked to was nice and my wife felt better but I wanted to review because its just not right. Maybe its a misunderstanding but the purses are not fake. 2nd favorite Crossroads in SF (after the Market St location). Also the location with the largest inventory. I once found a 90's leather Coach bucket bag in mint condition for $40 here, which was rad. The staff here is also super sweet. From a seller perspective, this location tends to be the least picky when it comes to buying. However.....this is a double edged-sword as I've seen multiple vintage items here with stains and holes, unsuitable for sale :( I do wish the employees would do a better job inspecting garments before putting them on the floor. And a reminder to always turn items inside out to check for flaws prior to purchase to avoid disappointment. read more

I sell here and in the Castro shop. I think the staff here are more discerning. They buy better end stuff that the Castro tells me "aren't trendy." I've found it's worth passing a thing by someone different since it's so subjective. The shop is bright and feels up scale. Men's section is tiny, but has good labels. Definite fan. read more

I don't understand the hype and love for this store. When I walked in, I never got a hi or anything and there were 3 workers. I walked all over the store and prices were meh. I didn't see anything special that made me want to buy it. I couldn't even find my shoe size and the only good is that they have a great variety. Their prices remind me of Poshmark but it's not that great for prices. I think I found similar prices at a Nordstrom rack. I won't be back to visit and the store was pretty dead.. In from out of town, looking for a jacket and wandered into crossroads. I'd been to a few locations in Los Angeles and Chicago previously so I was pretty familiar with the process. Not sure if the staff working on the particular day I went in were new, but they could not figure out the computer system. I stood there for 15 mins while they tried to figure it out. I would normally be sympathetic on something like this but both of those employees had already been rude to me. It's like they forgot they weren't working a Paris fashion week show or something. Anyway, after I finally was able to pay, no apologies for it taking so long, no thank you for supporting our business during this uncertain time of Covid, just a smug judgmental smirk. Can't talk about the selling experience since I've never sold here, but as a buyer, the Church location is better. The clothes they sell here are homogeneous like the homogeneous neighborhood the store is in. All preppy stuff. I like black, grungy, edgy styles and I love thrift stores because most of them have at least a little of that but this one does not. If you want better variety go to the Goodwill down the block and there will be something or your style. read more

Incredibly rude. I know that the different locations vary based on whether they accept drop offs for clothing. I called and specifically asked if they were accepting drop offs -- the person told me: yes until 5 PM. When I showed up I was informed that they do not accept drop offs at all at this location, and the woman was incredibly rude about it. Clearly, she didn't care if someone gave me the wrong information, didn't care about improving the information they might be giving out or who I may have spoken to, was just flat out rude and then went back to what she was doing. This used to be one of my favorite places to buy and sell clothes. They've gone downhill and it's all in the attitude. read more

I've been to a number of Crossroads and have had mixed results. This one slightly edges out the other Crossroads locations! The merchandise actually seems more limited than some of the other stores but it was nicely organized. They were organized by type and color. Prices in general seem reasonable. I got a pair of NWT Liverpool jeans for $9 (half off) which is great! There was a gorgeous Burberry trench for $200 on the wall but I think it was a men's trench. It was still a good value though! Their purse selection was a bit small but I didn't see the blatant counterfeit purses that I saw in some of the other locations. read more

Meh inventory is pretty dated and rude and condescending staff. Called to follow up on my trade and was told that "as we discussed" I was given a courtesy call to let me know they weren't taking anything. No call ever received, probably called the wrong number as my name was also copied incorrectly from my Driver's License. Too bad the 3 pairs of never worn shoes and clothing with tags were described as "poor quality fabric" Won't be back to this location ever. read more

Like all the other reviews, the staff aren't very pleasant, and its a long wait to sell your clothes compared to other thrift stores. Since covid, if you want to sell your clothes, you drop them off and they expect you to come back in 48 hours to finish the transaction and pick up any unwanted leftover clothes from your stash. If you don't pick up your items in 48 hours, everything is considered donated. I don't understand the logic behind this, besides taking advantage of the customer. I feel they're banking on the fact that most customers won't come back (especially if they expect any chance of getting low-balled, as this company seems to be known for). They're also not doing consignment items right now. My advice? Sell on Poshmark instead. read more
