I was rather hesitant to go to Crowley nursing Home and rehab as I had been in two different Rehab and nursing homes in Granbury. They were awful So I started my two weeks stay there on a Thursday afternoon. It took a day to find out I was in a very safe place. Yes, it is difficult at night because there are many patients that need a lot of individual care. Like and other place there are fewer staff members at night and old people, like me, are not the most patient. Lts of things toconcidee. Medications affect our moods and how dev react. I sat in the hall and listened to to nurses seriously discussing patient care. It takes a lot to deal with all of us old people but I found everyone there trying to do their best work and take care of patients. I am sure they don't get paid enough to do this job. Joe really works at entertaining all patients and even going to individual room to play his music Overall I have to say they made the experience great Mark, in physical therapy really know his stuff. Senior Care of Crowley.. Nursing Home and Rehab, in my opinion based on how they treated my Sister, is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND INHUMANE. My Sister was in this "joke of a rehab facility" for about 2 1/2 months (with the exception of a week and a half when she went to the hospital to have emergency surgery).  My sister has stage 4 non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and has had for over 6 months. She also has severe lymphedema, hepatic encephalopathy, she was vomiting blood yesterday and because they severely restricted her fluid intake her blood pressure "bottomed out on multiple occasions". At this point she cannot walk on her own, she cannot stand up for more than 5 minutes and even with the five minutes she has to have assistants, she cannot shower or bathe on her own, she has to have special utensils to be able to eat because she has severe tremors and because of the progression of the stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver, she has encephalopathy that makes her have memory loss (when it flares up). She needs 24-hour care. She was kicked out of this facility on February 25th because her Medicare supposedly stopped paying, however they did not bother to look at her Medicaid to see if Medicaid would continue to pay. (This actually might have been a blessing);  however, they waited until the last second to tell her that they were sending her home and not only that but they were sending her home with no walker, no assistance, no home health aide, nothing at all. They were literally throwing her out the door with nothing and telling her to do it on her own. That is absolutely disgusting, immoral, unethical and inhumane. The Social Worker (and I use that term loosely), Maxine, new about Medicare and that they were going to terminate services way before yesterday however she did absolutely nothing to set up any kind of aftercare or develop any kind of care plan for after discharge. I was on the phone on speaker phone and heard how she treated my sister and this immoral person named Maxine was the most rude and vile as well as ignorant female I have ever heard in my life she does not deserve to be working with people especially people that are terminally ill and at the mercy of their caregivers. The representative from Humana (Ken) did everything he could to help her and he did find a solution and she will be going to a Skilled Nursing Facility within the next 2 days. However,  Senior Care of Crowley refused to let her stay until she could be transferred ...so right now she is at home and a good friend is trying to help her out as best she can because Senior Care of Crowley sent her home with absolutely nothing, they literally kicked her out the door is hard and as fast as they could... again, with only a few hours notice. This is the kind of "care" that she received while she was there for "Rehab": NUTRITION - grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit cup, open faced Turkey sandwiches, canned vegetables and "mystery food" (She had no clue what it was), and sugary drinks. HYGIENE-or rather Lack Of.  The entire time she was there she never got a bed bath, she never was able to take a shower, brush her teeth or get any kind of personal hygiene whatsoever. (I just became aware of this yesterday). REHABILITATION- she was there for rehabilitation however after 2 months and an emergency major operation she still cannot walk even to her bedside commode without assistance because the lymphedema is so bad, and her muscles have atrophied to a severe degree. Is that rehab?  Rehabilitation has to come in many forms including Physical Therapy, occupational therapy, nutritional therapy and psychological therapy. My sister received none of the above therapy modalities. I even had my son deliver a sugar free over the counter spray for her mouth (they refused to give her anything), I also had some personal items, wrapped securely in a white plastic bag..it was taped securely and labeled securely.  My son gave it to the front desk and they confiscated it! They opened her PERSONAL MAIL and refused to let her have it...isint that called "stealing"? In my opinion the last two months have been a waste of time and has caused a severe decline in her health. The 2 Doctors that were supposedly taking care of her, were a joke.. Dr.Kanale and Dr. Bazaria.  They documented disorders and conditions that she did NOT even have, yet "Forgot to mention" her Stage 4 AutoImmune Hepatitis! SERIOUSLY???? I truly feel sorry for anyone that is in this place and for anybody who is contemplating putting a relative in this place,  please please do your research and do not subject your loved one to this type of inhumane treatment.  DISCLAIMER- The opinions expressed are my own based on observation of how my Sister was treated BOTTOM LINE, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE..I WOULD NOT PUT MY WORST ENEMY IN THIS PLACE!  (my opinion). read more

Don't let the pictures of Crowley Nursing and rehab fool you! Pictures are deceiving! My mother only lasted in this place one day because of the horrible treatment she received after her knee replacement surgery. The staff was rude, the facility smelled of urine and feces. The food was terrible and just tossed on a tray as if she was an animal. They didn't help my mother to the bathroom all night and left her sitting in wet clothes. They also did not give her any of her medications or pain medication all day or night. She used the call button and no ever came. She could hear them having conversations and laughing, but no on ever came to check on her. If we could give less stars we would! We would not wish this place upon our worst enemies. Very nice building but the staff is so lacking in compassion. The rehab staff has done a good job but nursing has dropped the ball in many areas of care. The aids really rather be somewhere else. They would leave my mother in wheelchair dirty for hours, would put her to bed and not put on bed clothes. Someone had to be there every day to be sure she got decent care! We had to stay on every aspect of care! The call button could be pushed and you would wait up to an hour for anyone to bother to come in the room. Walk down the hall and lights are flashing and they totally ignore. There was no compassion present in the three weeks we were there. We removed her early due to lack of care! Please don't put your family members here without checking very closely! Walk around and talk to current residence and their families first! They do have a new administrator but she is in over her head with this group! read more

I wouldn't let my enemy bring their family here. the overnight staff doesn't do anything and when it's time to wake them up before shift change they don't change resident's diapers, they just throw clothes on them, the admin told a CNA to worry about getting a resident up instead of worry about changing a residents dirty diaper, the nurses lie, and/or lazy most the CNAs have to do hoyers by themselves anytime the ask for help the nurses say no, if a residents falls or hurts themself and they dont have family that come to see them much the nurse will say you didn't see that. a resident will have light on for long periods times and a CNA will be busy with another resident the nurse will walk the hall looking for the CNA cant find them because they are with another resident so would go sit on the nurses station then see the CNA and would make a comment this residents needs changing then go back an sit on their asses. the care for these residents is horrible they don't care about the residents at all. one resident called 911 because she didn't want to be there no longer because they didn't do anything and refused to go back. they put a front during walk throughs, the housekeeping is ridiculous also, 26 year old manager that hires girls her age and let them do whatever they want, calling in every other day, coming in late staying until their scheduled time off, there is one housekeeper that does anything and one laundry aide that cares about the residents she even stays after her scheduled shift to help with activities read more

I do not understand the negative reviews. The staff has always been responsive, kind, and courteous to me. My 91-year old mother was admitted 2 weeks ago and will be released home in s few days. The Activity Director, Joe, consistently helped my mother and I to see each other through FaceTime as there are no visitors during Covid lockdown. The facility followed strict adherence to Covid guidelines. I appreciate the dedication to keeping staff and residents safe from the virus. Amanda and Diana stayed in contact with me and promptly returned my phone calls; always kind and helpful. Wendy smoothed the path from hospital to transfer to the rehab facility. Pauline, one of mom's nurses exhibited kindness and respect for my mom. Lots of respect for elders was evident from everyone. The Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy have been successful in getting mom's cooperation to participate in exercises to regain her strength. Mom is particular about the quality of her food. She didn't complain and told me she's eating meals. Great news! I'm happy to report she's strong enough to return home in a few days. Thank you to everyone for providing good care for my mother. I look forward to getting feedback from my mom when she's home. read more

If I could literally give this place no stars I would. My grandmother was transferred to the rehab part of this facility on a Wednesday afternoon. That evening when I got there she was still sitting in a hospital gown and laying half way across the bed. I put her clothes on her and was told she didn't eat. Her food was pushed into her room and was cold. I went to find someone and explain to them she has Alzheimers and cannot feed herself right now because her coordination is off. I made them go get me other food to feed her, which was yogurt and fruit because they said the kitchen was closed. I was very uneasy with everything that happened on the first day because I couldn't find a nurse anywhere without me hunting them down. They also do not communicate with one another because no one knew she had Alzheimers even though this was explained before the transfer. Day 2 I was told she didn't eat breakfast or lunch. I asked did you try to feed her and I was told no. I explained again to another person who I had never seen she had Alzheimers and can't feed herself. I asked why she was still in her pajamas and they didn't know why. Day 3 I was there at mealtime to make sure she ate. I was told they had given her a shower but her hair was still dirty and her body smelled. While I was there she needed to go to restroom and it took 30 minutes to get someone to come help. I was told they helped her walk that day which I don't know how because she literally had no strength to to even stand up. By this time my family is already looking for other options to have her moved to another facility. Day 4 I came to feed her again. Only to find they pushed her food into her room on a tray and left it still covered and cold. I brought her food because the food they provide is deplorable. I sit down next to her to help her eat and her blanket is very wet. She told me she was wet all over. I felt her clothes and her bed and she was sitting in urine. I try to find someone to come and change the bed. I have to go back twice to find someone. No one should ever be left to stay like this. She obviously had not been checked on in hours. Once someone came to help they changed her clothes and tried to change her bed with her still laying on it. I made them physically get her out of bed so the could wipe down the entire bed and replace everything the right way.I am 100% positive this would not have happened had I not been there. When I asked when was the last time she was checked on they didn't know because they were understaffed. I explained to them again for the 4th day she has Alzheimers and that she can't feed herself. She can't push the button to call for someone to take her to the restroom. I was told they didnt have it on file that she had Alzheimers and they weren't aware of anything I was telling them. Day 5 we show up early to feed her breakfast and stay until after lunch till 1:30. We went directly from there to your another facility and do paperwork so she could be moved first thing Monday morning. She was left alone 2 hours and I went back to be there to make sure she ate dinner. I walked into her room and she is laying flat, she is ice cold, as white as a sheet and not breathing, no pulse. I immediately call for help and the nurse comes in and said she coded to call 911. It takes them time to gather enough people to start CPR and I helped the nurse move her to the floor. She probably had not been checked on since we left 2 hours earlier. No one could tell me the last time they checked on her. The paramedics came and I heard them ask her when was the last time she was alert and breathing and the nurse sd 30 minutes ago. The paramedics questioned her again because he said the time wasn't matching up with what they see and immediately told her to leave. Needless to say, my grandmother passed away after only being in the rehab part of this facility after 4 and a half days. One of the workers there even told me that when her mom was sick she would not let them bring her there. Please DO NOT bring your loved ones here. They don't care about the patients, they don't communicate with each other, they are understaffed and are not clean. Please save your family member's life a take them somewhere else. read more

My dad was discharged on Mar 13, 2018 and we were told by the business manager that we would be refunded a prorated amount since we had already paid for the full month. 65 days later and they still cannot give us a status on the refund. Numerous calls to the business manager and to the corporate office in Dallas have gone unreturned. I have had to make several trips from Frisco to Crowley to visit with the business manager personally since she won't return phone calls and she is blaming the lack of info on corporate. I guarantee you if we had been one day late on a payment they would have set my dad out on the curb. Stay away from all Senior Care Health and Rehab centers! read more

My grandmother is currently at Crowley Nursing & Rehab for therapy. All therapists have been great, working with her daily. She tells me her therapists Lucy, Royce and Kaci have been awesome. Nursing staff has been pretty on top of her care, especially her morning nurse Cheryl. She has had great compliments to some of her aides, including Mario, Anna and John. She tells me she loves the food and her only complaint is that she gets larger portions than at home! Very happy with her care here. read more

There is an overall vibe of happiness hen you first walk into the building. Admissions is very knowledgeable, the administrator is friendly and helpful, and the DON really seems to care about the patients and the staff. She is new to the building but the residents have said that they are happy with her on the team. There are students that come to sing and play games with the residents and it is nice to see their faces light up. It's always a treat to walk into the building. read more

Initially seemed okay for our parent, but when deficiencies in critical body needs such as potassium, magnesium and sodium were missed by medical staff, our parent ended up in the emergency room on two occasions. No response from the administrator when asked about it. read more

My grandmother was placed in this facility for rehab after being g discharged from the hospital. This place is horrible! If I can leave a zero star I would. My grandmother was not assisted with feeding even though is was made very clear that she needed assistance. Our family would visit everyday and were told by multiple staff members that she had not eaten because she was not hungry. This is NOT true as she was very hungry she just needed assistance. She was also not bathed until we demanded she be bathed. On one of the last visits before we decided to move her from the facility she had been laying in her bed in urine but was unable to get any assistance. It took 5 minutes to hunt a worker down to assist. The next day after the urine episode we went to visit for lunch and assisted her in feeding and getting out of bed. Three hours later we went back to find her ice cold and not breathing in her bed. We screamed for 911 and the ambulance came. My grandmother never had a chance to make it out of the facility. She died! Our family is trying to get her medical information from the facility now and they are dragging their feet. If you love and care for your family member we urge you to not place them in this facility. It is just not our family this has happened to as there are other stories out there. We have seen the lack of care they show their patients and hope you take this into consideration if you are looking at this facility. read more
