What are you waiting for? Carmel must have 30 Nail Shops, 25 Hair Salons but guys can't find a good haircut if you waived a $100 bill in the air. One "famous" Barber in Carmel, Salons serving 95% of clientele of women... men left wanting. Well the wait is over and at the risk of spilling the beans and giving away my "secret" and never getting an appointment when I want it-- I defer and announce the Crown and Blade. Alfred built the shop to support men who like their hair done professionally --sorry but the Salon ladies are generally awful-- I don't care if they blackball me going forward-- and truth be told they don't like cutting guys hair. Alfred on the other hand, knows what he's doing. If you have a beard or a goatee, you have nothing to worry about. He is amazing when it comes to cutting trimming and creating the right kind of line for your facial hair. If you've never had a shave from a barber that uses a straight razor you're in luck because Alfred is a pro. As for your hair. He understands the flow of your hair and you don't have to worry about holes or dents when there shouldn't be any. The setting is amazing. It looks very very British, but don't let that scare you. It'll give you comfort. I guess you can tell. I really like this place. He takes his time. There's never a rush. He'll probably do some extra service that's not charged, but that's just who he is. Highly Recommend! Perfect Spot for a Toddler's First Haircut. We brought our 3-year-old son in for his very first haircut, and the experience exceeded all expectations. Alfred was fantastic--he had such positive, calming energy that kept our energetic toddler relaxed and happy the entire time. He delivered a clean, sharp cut with a solid #2 on the sides and nicely cleaned up the top. This is my spot. The Barber takes time, gives suggestions but is not pushy with your cut. The shop is clean and very nice. I am hard to cut but he recommended a cut that works and now I can't see myself going to any barber.
